Lee Precision's new Auto Prime XR hand priming tool

the shell holder that came with my 308 lee die set won't fit in this primer device... am I missing something?

do your prefer this kind of priming device or the kind that hangs on the side of the press? I'm looking at two lee kits and one comes with this and the other comes with the hanging design

I bought one. I like it. Big improvement over the auto prime. No doubt Lee had a ton of complaints regarding the warning to not use Federal primers. The tray is sized to exactly fit the federal primer packaging and since the primers in the tray are isolated from the priming operation, Any primer can safely (?) be used. Something that caught my attention is the comment on the instruction sheet regarding the size of the packaging primers are shipped in.

beautiful!!...does this baby come with the new LEE deluxe reloading kit? Ive been savin my brass and im ready to start reloadin before that new ammo law comes into effect out here in california. It states we have to be fingerprinted every time we buy ammo.

about time they improve the lever...... Ive broken so many of them and now on my last one I planned on switching to a different brand when my last one breaks. I say 'breaks' because it will break. Might have to give this new one a try.

@GBU431 I've only had problems out of every RCBS priming tool other than the press mounted priming deal. That thing works awesome and the added leverage is a good bonus.

i had heard somewere that you could use the shell holder for the press in this tool... does it accept both or just the standard shell holder pieces like the old auto prime.?

@Iraqveteran8888 dang i was hopeing to upgrade , still going to i like the square tray ... i had trouble with the handle on my old auto prime , this looks a lot better design...the stock i know its in the works never doubted that ... i understand your a busy man.... great video and thanks....

@NSAM88 it's not always therapeutic, I'm not trying to talk you out of reloading it just costs quit a bit of money to get started. But I fell the reward is much greater than the risk. :-)
