  • Jobim is the boss!

  • I remember the first time I heard Carlos Jobim's music, it was in the early sixties and I was a young child. It felt like a breath of fresh air, and it took the world by storm, free, rhythmic with beautiful augmented,7th,9th and sustained chord changes, not to mention hearing the unique Portugese language sung which distinguishes Brazil from the other Spanish speaking countries of So. America.Such an impact it made in the world that I believe Billy J. answer to the Bossa N. was Just the Way U R.

  • Jobim -- the name alone has come to mean the joy of living. body and soul. What a gift he iand his music is to all of us. TImeless. These clips are treasures, absolute treasures.

  • Simply divine. One of the best on You tube. Jobim and Andy are a perfect match. Suave and sophisticated. Thanks for sharing this gem.

  • Bonita is very little known to this day.

Incidentally, and I am not thinking of Bonita now, I find it a sign that a composer is very special when I keep listening to gorgeous songs of his/hers long after I explored the better known ones. In the case of Jobim, both lists are very, very large.
