But she also says tht if u need more sugar, u can add date syrup. Sugar is not so healthy option. Honey is also not bad and tht is my opinion... Maybe this explanation has helped u.. Custard powder comes with colours and flavours, while I wanted the dessert to have the natural looks and flavours of the fruits. Oats when mixed with the fruits is not that sticky.
I tried this today following your instructions, it turned out to be an excellent salad, thanks for sharing

You can add sugar as per your choice not compulsory to add sugar...
