@IwaoYamamoto i dont really call my self a star wars fan per say i more of just a kotor fan but the reason i dont want him to write a kotor movie is because bioware gave the kotor story life. and although i really liked the orignal 3 star wars movies i fear that the story may be put to the side to make it appealing for kids and people that never played the game. and i want to see a kotor movie that has life to it rather than just a money making idea

life story with this game: 4:36 makes me cry (well almost) I remember that I got this game when I turned 7. I was super excited when I got it, because I was a star wars fan for as long as I could remember. The music that plays at that point is when youre at the Taris Upper Appartments; that was the first time that I experienced the emotion of the game; the willing suspension of disbelief. This game is like a blessing to me, and I swear, part of my soul is in this game, as obssessive asthatsounds

I think they should make a game or movies of what happened after the original trilogy, but imo they should film it and make it the same way the old ones were, i dont know why, but the way it was just had a magic to it, Just dont make them like the new trilogy, i liked it, but it didnt compare to the originals at all.

@ParkerGangsta Well, i liked them both, but for different reasons. The first one had a waaaay better plot to the story, i understood what was going on from when I started playing to when I beat it (which was about 10 times :D) !! The second one however, i found more thrill in the battle scenes, because it was way more intense than what i was used to and most of the time i didn't understand what was going on, still, to this day i am a little confused what happened. But both games were GREAT!!

I never said anything about the prequels. This is about making KOTOR into a movie. So how do you know it could win an Oscar for best picture? You don't!

@Schism704 No. KOTOR had a good plot and things made sense. The prequel trilogy was a way for Lucas to make money. The original trilogy was not a 80s drama and you should be ashamed for thinking that. Drama is needed to keep a good plot, it adds conflict and can add great characterization and engage the audience into a story. The prequel trilogy was a bunch of special effects rolled into one. Tell me one good thing besides the action of the prequel trilogy.
They need to make a KOTOR 3 damnit! It really is a thrilling Star Wars RPG, the first one was phenomenal; the second one was very good also just not a great storyline as the first but they were both really great games with a different kind of battle system than any other games..

On Windows Vista it was spontaneous of when it'd start and actually work and on Windows XP it just crashed. Anyone who got any advice? I had to forsake some proper sleep for a couple of nights to play through and I'd like to do it again at a more normal pace.

actually, I played through KOTOR2 before I played KOTOR1. And yes, 1 was better (because Bioware made it themselves, they got lazy and handed 2 to Obsidian) but KOTOR2's main story, though short as it was, was still good. Though Revan kicks the Exile's ass every time.

@ParkerGangsta Well, i liked them both, but for different reasons. The first one had a waaaay better plot to the story, i understood what was going on from when I started playing to when I beat it (which was about 10 times :D) !! The second one however, i found more thrill in the battle scenes, because it was way more intense than what i was used to and most of the time i didn't understand what was going on, still, to this day i am a little confused what happened. But both games were GREAT!!

I never said anything about the prequels. This is about making KOTOR into a movie. So how do you know it could win an Oscar for best picture? You don't!
My point is: Most great game experiences comes simply because it is a game. You are the player. You are a central part of the story. In a movie you are just the observer. You don't participate. You don't decide whether the main character joins the dark side or stays on the path of the light.

a KOTOR movie would have to be three parts.
Part 1=From the Endar Spire attack to the final battle with Calo Nord on Tatooine
Part 2=From the continued Star Map search on Kashyyyk to the confrontation with Malak on the Leviathan, the revelation, and the capture of Bastila.
Part 3=The search for the final Star Map on Korriban to the final glorious battle on the Star Forge, the redemption of Bastila, and the death of Malak.

(SPOILERS AHEAD) Okay, a random secret apprentice is introduced and apparently HE's responsible for the creation of the Rebellion???? AND, he can beat both Darth Vader AND the Emperor!? And by the end of the second one, Darth Vader gets captured by the Rebel Alliance? That's just stupid. And out of the blue in the first one, he all of a sudden love Juno Eclipse even though there was no buildup to it. I could go on...

@Schism704 No. KOTOR had a good plot and things made sense. The prequel trilogy was a way for Lucas to make money. The original trilogy was not a 80s drama and you should be ashamed for thinking that. Drama is needed to keep a good plot, it adds conflict and can add great characterization and engage the audience into a story. The prequel trilogy was a bunch of special effects rolled into one. Tell me one good thing besides the action of the prequel trilogy.

They need to make a KOTOR 3 damnit! It really is a thrilling Star Wars RPG, the first one was phenomenal; the second one was very good also just not a great storyline as the first but they were both really great games with a different kind of battle system than any other games..

Btw read some comments and remembered something: did any of you ever have any technical problems with KOTOR2?
On Windows Vista it was spontaneous of when it'd start and actually work and on Windows XP it just crashed. Anyone who got any advice? I had to forsake some proper sleep for a couple of nights to play through and I'd like to do it again at a more normal pace.
And I really hope SWTOR will be great, if anyone can make a good SW MMO it's Bioware. Then they can give us KOTOR3.

Fool! What I tried to make clear was that you can see swtor as kotor 3, because in swtor, the events between and after kotor 1 and 2, will be revealed.
Based on that, I dont think there will be a next kotor following the story of the first 2 kotors because you'll already know what will happen. That wouldnt be fun.

Again you dissapoint me. I never said The Old Republic is KOTOR 3. I only said I don't think there will ever be a KOTOR 3 (following the events of KOTOR 1 and 2) because everything will be revealed in The Old Republic.
Your comment also doesn't make any sence because The Old Republic and KOTOR 3 are far better comparable with each other than a shoe and a tree.

I got plentyyyyyyy of errors
first a save where I COULD NOT LEAVE THE EBON HAWK ON DANTOOINE
then A corrupt save (lol?)
then a "old save data" which was not playable
oh and the famous dantooine glich. Fixed with turning grass off (it gliched on other worlds if I turned it on lol?)
and constant video playback issues. Whenever I would get a dream about a starmap it would freeze and then I have to restart the damn program!
In the end everything worked out :D still, buggy stuffs.

actually, I played through KOTOR2 before I played KOTOR1. And yes, 1 was better (because Bioware made it themselves, they got lazy and handed 2 to Obsidian) but KOTOR2's main story, though short as it was, was still good. Though Revan kicks the Exile's ass every time.
