this is an early song that i learned after a few months too. its a pretty simple but awsome bassline. oh, and you really only need to mute notes if you want to be perfect but it sounds just fine without them. I play it the same as you and it sounds fine. nice cover

You got a decent bass that reacts well to your touch:) and you seem to have done great progressing only having played 3 months :) clean chorus, but pratice silencing at tight spots (listen to song), fast plucking and get some "feeling" into the song and you'll be great! Awesome track choice btw;)
