Germany had to invade Russia in 41' or they would have been too strong in 42', problems were 1. Mussolini botching Greek invasion delaying Barbarossa by a crucial month while securing southern flank. 2. Hitler's indecisiveness and diversion of armor from army group center delays push on Moscow before winter. Germans had it in the bag if they pushed straight at Moscow without diverting tanks away. but they choked. USAstinks can suck it by the way.

The main difference was that teh Russians had proper winter clothing, whereas the Germans still wore their summer outfit. Hitler expected a Russian defeat before winter would fall
