  • This is the best arrangement I've seen on youtube...

  • thx a lot patbad i will try with my friends is there a problem if the 4th trombone is a tuba ?

  • I like the original key.

  • You did not arrange this in the key of Db... You put it in Bb minor. Check the theory of your work.

  • @UTbaristud Bb minor has 4 flats Bb Db Gb and Eb his has 5

  • @chucknorrisminecraft B-Flat minor is 5 flats.

  • Isn't the original in F? I mean, I understand transposing for the range, but I'm pretty sure it only goes up to a high Bb in the first bone.

  • @DeathViaTar The highest note is an Ab @ 1:04

  • Fantastic Job Bro!

  • Kudos to you bro!

  • Whats the proper tempo for this piece ?

  • @TheHybridBoi I'm not sure, but the tempo in this video is a little faster than the original.

  • @tenorbrasswindplayer a little faster?!

  • @TheHybridBoi the tempo is 220 in this. Or AKA Prestissimo

  • @TheHybridBoi about 210, it's written in 6/8 so it's a little hard to check but it's about 210 eighth notes per minute

  • @smileyspazz its in Gb

  • @itstht1doodovrthere uhh yea it is in Db. Gb has six flats...

  • i personally like Db but i only learnd it in Bb

  • this is my favorite arrangement of this theme on youtube, but the first part seems faster than the theme from 'On Stranger TIdes,' and the last part is a little slow, i think.

  • How come no one makes Euphonium/Baritone Arrangements... Euphs. Are better.. Why do u think DCI doesnt march Trombone But Euphs?. EXACTLY!!!! lol jk i aint trippin its all the same.. I can play this on my peashooter :)))

  • @narutofanatic40 Euphs, while related to trombones, can't play as wide a range or gliss, disproving your case.

  • @Patbad73 actually, they generally have just as wide a range, not counting jazz trombonists. with amateur players, euphoniums may actually have a higher range as having more bends can provide more resistance on the embouchure and make it easier to reach high notes. DCI doesn't use them because its a BUGLE corps, and trombones are not bugles.

  • @narutofanatic40 DCI doesn't use trombones so that nobody dies. Trombones are better for orchestras, as they project more directly, and Euphonioum (tenor tuba) is used in plenty of orchestral pieces for its mellow sound. Learn your stuff.

  • Not gonna lie, this is the best trombone arrangement of this particular piece on YouTube. Good job sir.

  • you my friend.

    are the resident badass

  • I really like Finale Notepad, it's great for when you're composing...it's a shame the instruments sound so computerised :/

  • You transposed this all by ear?

  • @Patbad73 I did some of it by ear, but usually it's good to have the music in front of you when arranging something. I couldn't find good music for this so I had to watch a crappy midi file on Synthesia to get some of the three part harmony to be correct.

  • Best one on this site...

  • I'm going to learn how to play it and be a showoff :P

  • nice job!

  • smt these notes aren't for my type of trombone....

  • @1ranster you can play all of these notes on a typical trombone, or at least I can.

  • I have to say, if there was a key that works the best with Zimmer's original composition, it would be this one. The melody is dark and powerful, and I usually find the flat key sigs like Db provide a good foundation for the music.

  • Cmon man!

D minor is fucking better than Db!

...but I have to respect your decision, anyway thanks for the arrangement

  • sounds awesome!

  • personally, it's my favorite arrangement of the song on youtube.
