  • question

why do they allways make landers with the ablity to make photos while you can videos... videos are way cooler

  • Very entertaining and informative video. Michael's voice sounds like Linus in "A Charile Brown Christmas."

  • very good!

  • good work boy..

  • thank you boy1

  • im 30 years old and im so amazed when a kid like him share what he learned and what he knew!! cheers buddy

  • beautiful man, great job!

  • Michael... this was a fantastic video and I learned something about each of the three planets. Thank you for this. :) Keep learning and sharing. :)

  • great vid thumbs up :)

  • he talks so cute! :)

  • HOLY SHIT THIS WAS DONE BY A 8 YR OLD!?!!!?!?

  • la mision voyager es una de las misiones mas exitosas de todos los tempos.

  • I probably could have done that when I was 8 if I learned. But I didn't get a computer until I was 9. The information wasn't impressive, but the fact that he put it together is. I probably couldn't have done all that at 8. And if Saturn is covered in water, doesn't that mean theres most likley life on it of some sort? Only if we could get out there and see. As for Jupiter and Mars, Jupiter is impossible to live on haha.. and I think Mars was an Earth at one point, it just had a natural disaster.

  • Michael sounds like bambi lol. im impressed by the video

  • 0:01 harry potter? :o

  • :D...

  • HELLO MICHAEL!!!!! I LOVE YOU <3

  • He said Venus

  • Wow... awesome! * * * * * :D

  • this is cute =}

  • great job !!! five stars ***** kinda reminds my of myself as a kid... he shoud work for nasa...

  • Very impressive!

  • he's 11 right now right?

  • Go Saturn and keep em' comin.'

  • This kid's goin stright to tha top

  • i love you! and its gr8 very informative

  • i like this. very clear and easy to understand. great job.

  • lol u talk relly funny BUT THIS IS VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! you know even more things that i do and i have spent HOURS on the internet for info about space!

  • beautifully done.. keep up the good work kid.. thumps up !

  • neat lil production/slideshow

  • Awesome video!!!

  • crimony! I knew NONE of this at age 8...!

Keep it up! Astronomy is really all there is to know in my opinion, so hang in there and keep finding out all you can.

    five star!

  • oK

will go now to saturn who will comme with me ?

XD ^_^ amazing thanks for the video

  • What a beautiful video - 3 most beautiful and powerful planets in our solar system (after Earth of course)

  • good video lil' man

  • This was very well done!!

  • Hello, Joshua and I just wanted to say how wonderful we thought your movie on the planets was.

From Laura (Mummy) and Joshua (2 years old).

  • Thank you Laura and Joshua.

    Megan :-)

  • allinsman ,u can fit 1 million earths into the sun so stfu and read first ,and the kid is right u fat ass

  • Jupiter is not 1000 times bigger then earth, the sun is.

  • acually apparently it is....i've read, and heard many, many times about how you can fit 1000 earths in jupitor...but i mean those are just scientists who spend their entire career studying and obsearving these things....what do they know.

  • Both educative and entertaining. Great!

  • You'll go far :)

  • good jobbie!

  • Hey kid, Pluto isn't a planet..anymore

  • this was mad b4 pluto was named an trestrial planet instead of a planet

  • hevymetalmen4life pluto is a dwarf not trestreal, fail lol trestrial is a planet that is primarily composed of silicate rocks. Within the solar system, the terrestrial planets are the inner planets closest to the Sun. pluto would be the firthest, read it up.

  • Hey dummy, check out publish date.. was then.

  • top

  • prefect ! hope you will become a scientist one day . peace!

  • Wonderful job. I'd give you an A.

  • cool

  • you now if human can live with co2 they can frozen is -10000celcius maybe they can live in mars

  • -10000 celcius is well below absolute zero.

  • Absolute Zero is -273 degrees Celsius, thats impossible

  • lololol what the hell r u talking about

  • hes gud. u can tell hes gonna be making money wen he grows up

  • MAYBE MARS IS THE SECOND EARTH

  • Hope this kid grows up to work in NASA.

  • That's pretty impressive for an 8 year old but his astronomy needs a little more research.

  • nice presentation don't take this the wrong way but for some reason the lisp remind me of the movie poltergeist

  • What're you talking about, kid's got no lisp. There's no "th" in his s's.

  • lies lol..

  • What a bright young man,,Well done.

  • i know you are a kid and prbably about maybe im guessing 9-11 but there are some mistakes. first off mars is red becuase the rock contains iron, and the atmosphere contain CO2(carbo-dioxide) when CO2 comes in contact with iron it rusts and since mars rock contain nothing bur iron it rust and rust turns red. second. its pronounced Olympis Mons not mars and Olympis Mons is 3 times as big as Mt everest and Olympic Mons is so big in fact it goes out of Mars atmosphere. i hope these few tips helped

  • ohhhh youre wrong. iron rusts because of water and air,

which existed on mars about 1 billion years ago.

  • the next carl sagan =)

    congratz.

  • Its good to see children your age understanding how all this stuff works , I am very impressed .Study hard avoid drugs , and keep an eye to the sky

    Nice work

  • You kinda sounded like the grandma in Worlds Most Scariest Places On Earth when you said "Things aren't always as peaceful as they seem" hehe so cute good work though

  • well done mate!

  • congratulations little boy.

    i like you

  • NICE!

  • You made your parents proud, keep it up...

  • Amazing. The heavens declare the glory of God!

  • Thank u! Thank u! Thank u! This has helped me with my homework project immensely!!

  • Good work! Your knowledge of the planets and of space exploration reminds me of my youth. I was about 8 when Sputnik was launched and have followed the space program ever since. I wonder what it would have been like to have had something like YouTube back then. Information was harder to find in those old days.

  • How cool! =D Good god! =)

  • nice one guys. nothing more interersting in life than the cosmos for those with the mind to think about it. gl mikey in your future investigations. respect.

  • Micheal is really smart. Good job, Micheal!

  • good job :D

  • Informative both in content and visuals. Thank you.

    Rosanella :-)

  • great work, little one!

  • Now wait a minute... With crazy 200mph winds and insane dust storms lasting weeks. Why would there be water?

It would be mud at BEST.

  • We should spend more money on space travel it could earn us lots of money from gems a diamonds and theres a moon going around saturn i believe and it has oceans of fuel and i think we have descoverd over 100 planets that we can live on but can because there to far away i also think the moon with fuel can support life as soon as it heats up 100 degrees and besides the water and plants but there would be plants soon if it heats up and if there was only water as i said

  • takes more then that for life. You got to have something to start it. Life can't just appear.

  • Nice job buddy

  • No they are gas giants

  • well done.

  • do jupiter and saturn acctualy have some kind of surface to walk on?

  • yes they have a small core

  • pluto is not a planet no more it was for 75 years

  • hahaha its cool but Jupitar has 63 moons...

  • name them please ;)

  • quite interesting:D

  • hahaha,this is so cute:)

and, when u think about it,its quite impossible we're the only ones in the space..

must be something else out there.

i just dont think we'll ever know.

  • Thanks for the lesson Michael! I learned some new stuff today!

  • well done esspically for your age

  • an 8 yr old did this???/OMG THAT WAS GREAT!!!!

  • keep up the good work! ^^

  • i enjoyed this

  • light accent huh dear?! verynteresting bravo!

  • bravo :)

  • 1 star

  • im sorry 1/500th.

  • yeah there is......Th orginism is about 1/100th of a hair in diamiter though..

  • Where did you get this information?? I am aware of FOSSILIZED remains of organisms inside rocks brought back from Mars, but no life that CURRENTLY lives there. Would be interested where you learned about this ...

  • cute lol :)

  • Very good...

  • there is currently water on mars, but in a solid state

  • Thanks for watching and for commenting.

The video was made eight years ago, and there have been some newer findings since that time.

    ~Megan

  • U are such a smart kid.... Nice presentation really...

  • Thank you sweetheart... :-) u helped me with my nieces's Jupiter project... god bless and Kudos to you......

  • At 5:00 the cloud looks like a creepy skull!!

  • Coming here !!! ;;;

  • wow!!!smart kid!!!how do you know that!!!i thought you have much research at that!!!good job kid!!!

  • Great Job! Thank you for taking me on the journey to the space! I do not have a telescope, but I always look up the sky to have a feel of the stars, planets and our moon.

  • The largest volcano is actually Olympus Mons, Im sure you meant to say that though instead of Olympus Mars :P

  • well done man great video im 23 and you have much more knowledge on the planets then me amazing video kid well done ;-) !!!

  • WOW 1,000 earths can fit inside jupiter???? WOW that is massive!!!! Incomprehensable

  • thats absolutely amazing. thanks kid, you just helped me with my science project :D

  • i belive neptunes wind go up to 700 mph

  • No, they go 900 mph, But stil It's the planet with the fastest wind.

  • 1000-1300

  • Thank you for this! We homeschool and I was looking for a video to show the planets and this is perfect for my elementary age kids! Good job!

  • this kid will probably head JPL or NASA on day!

  • very nice video...

I would make an observation about satur saying that it is the seventh orbit.. its very important to remember that between mars and jupter there was a planet...

  • Great video , 5 stars ..

  • The credits state that Michaels's dad produced it, just how much help did he get?

If it's his work he should be proud, it's well constructed.

I'm sure his parents think his narration is cute and all, I found it uninspiring and it detracted from what could have been an interesting documentary.

Even the pros use an experienced narrator if it adds to the overall impact, they don't do it themselves.

  • How much help did Michael get? I am told, "not much." There was no script and no reading by Michael, contrary to some opinions voiced here.

This was produced years ago in response to an assignment by Michael's second grade teacher to "bring in a picture of one of the planets in our solar system and talk about it." The 8 year old did not have the teacher's permission to bring in an "experienced narrator." He was, alas, forced to fly by the seat of his pants on this one. :-)

  • yea where part 2

  • well i gotta atmit ur very smart so u got my sub

  • that is neat

  • Pro quality. :)

  • Olympus MONS! Not olympus mars.. Small detail but it is the LARGEST volcano in the solar system so naming it corretly is important.

As im writing this the kid has stated Saturns rings are made of ice. Saturns rings arent made of just ice!! They're a combination of rock and ice.. jeez, any more mistakes coming i wonder?

  • thats a talented little guy

  • Me thinks this kid will walk on mars some day

  • this ACED my project on saturn at skool

  • Genius! Nice work, although I could find quite a few flaws. Like not all of Mars' surface is colder than the North Pole. The Martian equator has quite a habitable temperature.

  • kewl atleast we can learn on youtube

  • Good job little guy We could read the words ok you guys did good.

  • wow...very nice video...good job michael!

  • Waow ! this video really helped me with my task about Saturn . Thanks Michael ;)

  • well done young man 5 stars

  • That is so neat.

  • Great video. :)

You have a bright future; quite possibly a future Mars explorer & researcher. :)

  • wow, unbelievable for an eight year old.I am sure it will take another century or so fr kids from where I originate(sri lanka)get goin like this small guy, bravo

  • nice!

  • This video is more educative (for normal people) than the most hoaxes on the net.

Thank you Mars Boy and his Dad.

  • WELL DONE YOUNG MAN :)

  • Incredible vid. :D I think that Jupiter has 63 moons, though, with four of them being distinctly bigger (Io, Callisto, Ganymede and Europa). Saturn I THINK has 61. Still... you know a heckuvalot more than *I* did at your age, lol!

  • I was told that Jupiter has 3 rings.

  • wow im sure he got an a

  • Wow, is this your son? What a smart, adorable boy! Give him a little kiss for me! Makes me wish I had a son of my own. :-)

  • Congratulations kid ... one day maybe i will watching your work on nat geo or discovery chanel ..go on !!

  • Very nice and well done!

  • nice vid

  • Thanks to EVERYONE for your encouragement and comments. :-)

    ~Megan and Michael

  • Great Job Michael !! Keep up the great work . you might want to update your moon amounts , last i heard saturn had over 45 and jupiter had more then sixteen, i remeber at eight my mom said no more Lego and that i had to find a new hobby . i cant remember what sparked my interest in space but i do remember getting my first space globe at that age . :))

  • :)

    Cute video, keep it up.

  • Good Job Michael......;->

  • Nice work Michael, thank you for this video.

  • If that was actual footage of weather inside Jupiter and Mars, then I am speechless.

I was always curious about meteorology inside other planets.

  • so nice video ! I like to find anylife in the universe , thank you .

    nutier

  • This is a very smart kid.

  • Brilliant video.

  • nice,

    read Quran

  • Why?

  • lol

    just read it, will ya?

  • Ok read it now what?

  • Why? If you're interested in facts that's no place to look and if it's fiction you're after then Harry Potter is a better story book.

  • good video keep up the good work!

  • great vid, good pics, gives enough info without being boring.

  • great video amazing pictures

  • There were some misinformations :D but other than that it's pretty good. There are only mainstream facts but for a 8 yaers old it's ok. Keep up studying. (and if you really are interested learn tha boring math stuff (keplers laws and so on) ;P.

  • Very good for 8 years old child. I am almost 15 years old, I knew all these things when I was around 9-10 years old. If you like something, space in my case, you read books and learn as much as your brains can save. He likes space for sure. =)

  • Very Very impressive! Not for just for an 8 year old, this is impressive at any age. You should have your own TV show.

  • Excellent job Mr. O'Ban. My 7-year old son Alex and I especially liked the part about Saturn and Jupiter having so many moons - cool! Thanks for sharing.

  • Great work mate!

  • is this kid like Steven Hawking's son or something?

  • great video, thanks for this facinating lesson XD

  • great video little dude, im impressed, keep up the good work

  • this video rocks

  • good work little mike. it is young men such as yourself that do the united states of america proud. keep up the good work and do not listen to any of the nay sayers here. you people need to keep your negative comments to yourself or on your political videos.

  • wow amazing explanation, it's interesting. thank u for sharing.

  • very nice some of the things i did not know
