Consider that it's about 180 horsepower at the wheels. At the crank, Grand Marquis range from 190-235 horsepower at the crank, with 265-275 lb/ft of torque (which is considerably more torque than your 4-cylinder is making). My Cadillac Seville, when stock, puts out 275 horsepower at the crank, and 300 lb/ft of torque. I been able to achieve a best 0-60 of 6.6 seconds so far.

dry is nitrous only being added to the intake tract, usually before the mafs, and then the stock computer can measure it through the mass air meter and usually adds the appropirate amount of fuel for you, through the injectors and computer, you can also spray this after any electronics and add the fuel thru tuning.
wet nitrous is nitrous and fuel being sprayed in at the same time thru the same nozzle.
a dry nitrous shot is nitrous added to the air, sucked through the intake into the engine cylinders. a wet shot is nitrous pre mixed in with the fuel and shot in with the injectors, THEN mixed with the air. wet-nitrous goes in with fuel, dry-nitrous goes in with air.

the number is NOT irrelevant, it refers to the velocity at which the nitrous leaves the tank. measured in what, i have no idea....parts per million? but it does matter....
actually the size of the jet is just the size of the jet. a .065 jet has a .065 inch opening. the jets are rated at a given average hp level for a wide range of cars, most are rated for 1000psi, a nozzle, pressure, amount of fuel, engine condition, weather, and elevation can take into effect of how much power it makes, but in the long run why type all that out when you can call it a 150shot.
The shot number doesnt refer to how much extra hp your car will make.......it refers to how much hp worth of nos the Jet/Nozzle can flow @ a given bottle pressure.
why do we still insist on referring to size of nitrous to hp, when one size doesnt make the same hp for each car, but is based on a lot of factor. Why not refer there size to mass/time. Or flow, like lbs per sec, or probly oz/sec a 75hp shot NEVER makes 75 hp so why do we insist on this ridiculous label?

What these guys were doing is screwing around with a rental car and putting nitrous on it to have some fun, before obviously returning it WITHOUT the nitrous. If the rental company found out they were messing with the car like this, they'd be in trouble and probably have to pay some money for potential damage.
They make police interceptors out of the grand marquis's little sister, the crown vic.

The shot number doesnt refer to how much extra hp your car will make.......it refers to how much hp worth of nos the Jet/Nozzle can flow @ a given bottle pressure.

why do we still insist on referring to size of nitrous to hp, when one size doesnt make the same hp for each car, but is based on a lot of factor. Why not refer there size to mass/time. Or flow, like lbs per sec, or probly oz/sec a 75hp shot NEVER makes 75 hp so why do we insist on this ridiculous label?

lol, while that being true. i just hate the idea that people think that the size of the shots is true. when it does mean a thing. sure a 150 shot flows more nitrous than a 100 shot. but the number is irrelavent. might as well call them one million shot.

Cars in the U.S. do not have nitrous. It would be too much of a risk to run nitrous because of the damage that would be done to the engine.

What these guys were doing is screwing around with a rental car and putting nitrous on it to have some fun, before obviously returning it WITHOUT the nitrous. If the rental company found out they were messing with the car like this, they'd be in trouble and probably have to pay some money for potential damage.

There are a few standard rentals.Kind of hard to find though.I had a 5spd Neon when I was down in Florida but, I had to ask for it.

Sleepers are awesome! And for people who deride this act because of its make and model, get over it. The goal wasn't to make it the world's fastest car. The goal was simply to increase the power of a stock engine in a non-high performance car to make it fast FOR it's kind of car (which is fun to do).
