Conrail/NJT used these old coaches as late as 1984? Were these the last of the old open window steel heavyweight type coaches in revenue service? SEPTA operated the Reading Blueliners until 1990 so those might have been the last. Now they can be found on tourist lines. In fact, one tourist line in PA acquired a bunch right after their retirement in 1984, the Blue Mountain & Reading north of Reading, PA 14 mile line from Conrail junction through Temple to South Hamburg former PRR line.
