It's originally from The Beatles' Abbey Road, but this version is from the album "Come Together: America Salutes the Beatles", which features country artists covering Beatles tunes. I'm not really sure how Huey Lewis ended up on it, but I imagine this is one of the best cuts on the entire album.
Love Huey Lewis and The Beatles; this is quite an interesting take on a Beatles cover, but unlike other cover versions of Beatles classics, Huey respects the song and carefully tunes it to meet his needs, while still keeping its essence intact. A job well done, and a rare occasion of a truely rockin' cover!
That's what I like about covers is that they break down the song so that you see and hear it in a different light. 'My enjoyed that much indeed" as my little brother used to say.......
This is the way to do a cover. Capture all the spirit and style of the original plus add a few extra touches. That's what the Beatles themselves did and is a key reason why their covers are often more definitive than the originals. Wouldn't rate this quite that high, but it is very good indeed, quite probably the best cover of McCartney's tune (and there more than a few not bad other covers too). When did Huey do this, I wonder?
I SO agree with you! Huey is incredibly sexy! What's more is that he's never lost it over all these years. He's a special luv with himself!!! ROFL ;o)

I like Paul's version but I almost like this one better. To me Paul's version sounds like he gets angry where as Huey is a bit more soothing.

This was done for a tribute album to the Beatles. Most of the rest of the covers are done by country singers.
