@mrwiggles2 nope lol , check out newer vids of this truck , they are here on this channel , and "beltstowing" also here on youtube , a lot has changed with it !
@HamptonBallance it will come out on youtube soon enough ...I can't say right now , and their is a good reason that you will see in the next week or two ...stay tuned ....
@mhauck93 did not convert mine it was factory 283 , but the 6 and the v8 use the same frame horns , they have three bolt positions , and I think they move back one for a v8 is all , the mounts on the 6 are the same as the v8 too , it's a really simple swap , only downside is that you have to fix the plug wires just right on the cap of an hei distributor , to get firewall clearance ...if you decide to do the swap , I will close up vid my mounts for you to take the guess work out of it ...
@mopargssr the switch is the nitr....no it's not got laughing gas lol it's my bed (hook-up) lights , comes in handy when you are driving in the dark , just flick the switch ,and instant daytime in the rear views , as for the flaps if I told you , you would never believe me ....I called miller ind. ,that now own the holmes brand to ask if some parts were still to be had , I have the parts lists for the 500 bed , and I had just wrote that number down for kicks ,they had one set "LUCK"!!!
great truck only thing I would do different and did on my wrecker is if you actually plan to use it run the exhaust out the side instead of the back so you dont choke to death on the fumes when you are hooking or unhooking a car
@darush012 well it used to be out the side in front of the axle , the state would not pass it for there inspection unless it was past the axle , and there is really no way other than where it is to go with it , I tend to cry a lot while hooking crap up , the cam and all makes it rather gasious at times , but heck I only run bout 10 calls a month so ya know .....
@towrecker I see, in ky where I live we dont have inspections any more so I am not familiar with what wil pass and wont pass and I make about 10 calls a week so tht would probably kill me
@darush012 lol yup I say it would , but really no longer than you are down there to hook a chain , you can about hold your breath , and live to pull another idiot , but stacks will pass the fed inspection so that has been a thought too ;)
Poor thing didn't want to run in the cold! Nice truck.

my cousin has a 1963 c30 dump truck. it has a 230 straight 6. i see that you have a v8 in yours. do you have to do anything to convert to a v8?

Nothing ugly about that vehicle! That's a good-lookin' wrecker that most any towing & recovery person would be proud to operate!
