Funny that Sally argued about "freedom of speech" yet this morning the two main Sally Kern videos, "Republican Hate Speech" and "Kern refuses to Apologize for Hate Speech" have been removed due to a "terms of use violation" and PatriotsMaxim account suspended. I also found out today Youtube dealth with my complaint against a user using the hate slur faggot repeatedly which violates their 'community rules' and is considered a hate slur. But they did not suspend that user or delete his comments.
Sigh....I guess youtube is just human too. Honestly, I think they just get overwhelmed and made mistakes. I have simply begun deleting and blocking hate mail and haters...seems to have discouraged them as I am no longer receiving much. I refuse to give them a forum here...

Did you just say that Christians are "hate mongers"? You are painting with a very broad brush. According to a ARIS survey in 2001, 77% of Americans consider themselves to be Christians. That would mean many people you know and love consider themselves to be Christians. As an ellected offical, Kern's responsibility is to the majority. The vast majority considers themselves Christian and Christianity does not support the homosexual lifestyle.

She stepped over the line. By stating "Christianity does not support the homosexual lifestyle" it is you who paints with a broad brush.
It may be a poor generalization to say that Christians are hate mongers and whatnot, but It's just as big to generalize the majority of people as being Christian and therefore against homosexuality. While most studies show that a majority of the American public identify as Christian: the actual number of those that regularly attend & conform to those ideas is drastically lower. In addition most studies show that the majority of Americans agree that homosexuality is socially acceptable.

She was at public meeting with over 50 people, appearing in her official capacity as a tax-paid representative of the US and its people. I agree that she has a right to her private opinion, but in public, she is to be held to a higher standard.

Funny that Sally argued about "freedom of speech" yet this morning the two main Sally Kern videos, "Republican Hate Speech" and "Kern refuses to Apologize for Hate Speech" have been removed due to a "terms of use violation" and PatriotsMaxim account suspended. I also found out today Youtube dealth with my complaint against a user using the hate slur faggot repeatedly which violates their 'community rules' and is considered a hate slur. But they did not suspend that user or delete his comments.

It is true that she is a Republican and also that this past Monday the Oklahoman Repulbic Caucus gave Sally Kern a standing ovation. So, my remarks about conservative Republicans stand. I have nothing against free speech, however, as a public official, Sally Kern has a certain standard to maintain, and is not allowed to spread hate and divisiveness as she has here.

If you think about it, due to her position and her husban's position, something like that would have been too juicy for most journalists to ignore. Someone referenced another leader in a different state who actually did disown her son, and that apparently got media coverage. I would think the same principle would apply if this were true.

Did you just say that Christians are "hate mongers"? You are painting with a very broad brush. According to a ARIS survey in 2001, 77% of Americans consider themselves to be Christians. That would mean many people you know and love consider themselves to be Christians. As an ellected offical, Kern's responsibility is to the majority. The vast majority considers themselves Christian and Christianity does not support the homosexual lifestyle.

I never said that Christians are hate mongers...creative listening perhaps? As an elected official, Kern's sworn obligation is the Constitution which stipulates the separation of Church and State. She stepped over the line. By stating "Christianity does not support the homosexual lifestyle" it is you who paints with a broad brush.

It may be a poor generalization to say that Christians are hate mongers and whatnot, but It's just as big to generalize the majority of people as being Christian and therefore against homosexuality. While most studies show that a majority of the American public identify as Christian: the actual number of those that regularly attend & conform to those ideas is drastically lower. In addition most studies show that the majority of Americans agree that homosexuality is socially acceptable.

I do not come from any of the groups that were bashed nor do I label myself or others. I was very disturbed when listening to her. I am the parent of three children who will become what THEY make themselves, not what is dictated to them. She was at public meeting with over 50 people, appearing in her official capacity as a tax-paid representative of the US and its people. I agree that she has a right to her private opinion, but in public, she is to be held to a higher standard.

I think that it is important when mailing Rep. Sally Kern that we stick to the facts about how wrong it is for her to express hate-filled thoughts in a public forum in her official capacity..on the taxpayers money. Simply sending hate (and threats) only serves to make US look like the haters she wants to make us out to be...that is playing into her hand.

I used to be a Christian, but left the church because of all the hypocrisy. If she was truly a christian, she would not judge homosexuals. And hun, if you're a Christian, I hate to say it and it's one problem I have to, but those who share the same faith as you would hate you for being bisexual. So I've settled for believing in God... coz really that's all I need. I don't need ppl and a Bible telling me that I'm going to hell because I can't help who I love.
