I like how he continues to wave the firearm (even if in a safe direction) around in a condition 1 situation, finger on the trigger guard... at least assess the situation and put the safety on...... Seems like the situation is a bit toooo laxed. Alcohol involved, perhaps?
My GOD, you guys keep rambling on and on about safety and holsters. There wasn't anything unsafe about this and if you think that tucking a gun into your waste is unsafe, then you are completely ignorant of the functions and safety mechanisms of a 1911. And do you really need two hands to shoot a pistol? Not if you know how to shoot a gun! Pistols don't come with two hand grips.
Get over it people, this was all a fun little skit.
@Flinklehurst "Think you're some tough guy picking on a girl doll? Try it on a real man, motherfucker, see how you end up" I hope you're joking dude, otherwise you are the dumbest person I have ever met on youtube.
That has to be the most awkward way to shoot a pistol I have ever seen.
Squatting, side on, left hand out and on slippery snow, practically touching the target. Pistol tucked into waistband...
Shooter of the Year right there folks.
If a shove can push you over you stance is not good enough, and I don't mean inadequate for competition, inadequate for ANY shooting. Use both hands and don't tuck a pistol in your waistband, even in condition 3.
well he squatted to hit the cardboard straight. your stance isn't that big of a deal you can shoot in any position you want. Nowhere does it say to use both hands at all times, in my police academy we had to shoot one handed and two handed. It's for fun lighten up Mr. Gotta be professional at all times.
& if i didn't have a holster id tuck it in my waste as well, ever think he had one of those inside the pants holsters?
Hmm, well you are (apparently) speaking from the position of a law enforcement officer who has the benefit of professional training and oversight by your superiors. You are EXPECTED to shoot in extreme circumstances like engaging armed suspects.
For civilian shooters when the choice is "probably safe" or "definitely safe", they should always chose the "definitely safe" option reflecting on their amateur shooting proficiency and to set an example to others.
Don't use double ply paper plates as bullet proof vest material either. I shot through 60 of them AND the plywood sheet they were propped up against at 15yards with my .22lr rifle.
Shooting one handed is not unsafe, i just got out of my police academy a few months ago and we even had to train shooting one handed. Just a little more recoil thats all.
Well it still looks awkward as hell, why couldn't he just drop down on one knee and use both hands for better aim. Then he wouldn't have to be so close then.
I mean surely the academy taught you to use both hands to aim if you can, surely the "one hand shooting" is only for emergencies like if you other arm is disabled (wounded or carrying something).
yea it is awkward but normally you always have control still one handed.
we train one handed for night shooting, holding a flashlight in the other hand and shooting when running.
i agree on the safety issue but shooting one handed is just another way of doing it, no safety loss just accuracy loss. i can understand where your commin from but its not a big deal really
@Treblaine What was so unsafe about his shooting? He showed muzzle control, knew what he was shooting at, not to mention he has a level of training that has him safety his firearm after engagement.
wow when i see this video game physics are really off. the debris and seperation fo the head is what made this completely bad ass! Too bad i have yet to discover a game that has EVERYTHING destructible.
@ftf1987 well i wouldn't quite say point blanc but definitely inside 15 yards. but the difference in velocity between point blac and 15 yards is immeasurably small so it wouldnt make a difference anyway. cardboard isnt dense enough to stop a bullet anyway.
@visno point blank is usually defined as any distance in which bullet drop doesnt need to be accounted for in order to hit your target. most people will consider point blank with a pistol the average shot inside of a home or anything under 7yds...and the decrease in people shot with a pistol after 7 yds is pretty drastic. Therefore...most people are shot with a pistol at point blank range
That be true. And the laws of physics say that specific gravity is 9.8 m/(s^2). @ 850fps and being 15ft away, I calculate the bullet drop to be ~6", however, most pistols, including this one, are zeroed for 21 ft. So, that 6" of drop would be AFTER that first 21 ft.
How about i kick your ass, oh wait i'll never meet you so this argument serves no purpose and you are just and angry little fucker who thinks hes cool by saying mom jokes over the internet at random people. Okay bud your so cool... Fag.
Perhaps we don't have the brilliant sense of humor that you do... Depending on how the gunshots are applied, yes, they're funny. The guy filming isn't a 'faggot', he's a Hungarian exchange student.
There actually was as much safety practiced here as there is ignorant comments about it. When it was in my pants, it wasn't chambered. After every shot, I clicked the safety as I am conditioned to, and my finger automatically comes off of the trigger as soon as I come off target. This was just a mockery and all about fun people. Guns are awesome and fun if used correctly. I carry loaded all the time and have NEVER had and accident because I haven't become complacent with my firearms safety.
Handgun engagements are at extremely close range. I wouldn't trust something to save my life that worked at one foot but not at one inch. You never know how close you'll be to an attacker.
If you actually listen closely, you can actually HEAR the safety be engaged after EVERY shot and I went on to do other "thinks", you mean things, right, dumbass?

This kid know how to use the safety on that 1911, but he carry this gun inside the pants, what a moron!!
Buy an economic and affordable holster and there you go...
Try to penetrate with a round nose (common bullet) two or three big fat phone books completely wet in water.
Anyway shoot safe and have fun! :)
