@payoff86 The clapping makes it seem more like an old folks reunion concert or a Raffi concert. I guess that's why some people play thrash metal...you can't really clap to that one.
Hey I just wanted to know something. Tony Iommi was in town last week on the book signing tour. He was in a Northern Long Island bookstore. Does anyone know if he visited Ritchie? Ritchie lives in Northern Long Island in New York. Thanks. I know they do talk on the telephone once in a while. It would be a dream come true if Ritchie, Tony, and Page put out an album. Three of the greatest bands ever after the Beatle, Stones, and the Who. Victor
@toborthegreat A good idea! It will be nice to see them together on the stage. Playing a big big jam. It's only a dream, but who knows? Our dear guys Tony, Ritchie and Jimmy may do a surprise one day!
I tell you, what feeling in that solo. I love how Ritchie did this song with this solo. Douglas White is a great singer. Anyone know if he is still singing? Victor
@GeorgVanHalen funn i come with ya anyay i was on this show in Dusseldorf in Germany was a nice and rocky concert,but i could see this was the very last time i will see richie rockin liveon stage forever.

So many feeling in only one song.... Great singer, great arrangement and awesome guitar solo. None of those who are called "artists" today is able to reach even a millionth of this level. Long live Ritchie Blackmore, Doogie White and the others...
White did an amazing job in this one, though i still prefer Dio. And that guitar.. Makes me wonder, how was Blackmore able to put so much soul in that instrument?
Ritchie Blackmore, Leslie West, and Gary Moore are some of my favorite greatest, for there time they rocked the 70s hard no one could ask for anything more.

This song is awesome loved it every time I hear it no matter which singer does it. Of course everyone likes the Dio version but the music is what moves me.
It's never easy to live up to the audience's expectations. And it's equally difficult to revive an old song, especially when the original version was a big hit and people still have it in their minds and compare every chord you play now with what you played 20 years ago. But times change, musicians change, preferences change - it's simply not possible to skip 2 decades.
In my opinion (but being a musician myself I am propably biased) they did an excellent job. The good vibes are still there =)
i was in city and it was ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT but suddenly i heard lady gagas song -.-' that was SYMPHONY OF DESTRUCTION for me , i fell down on the ground and saw a STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN , when i reached the top i started KNOCKING ON THE HEAVENS DOOR then i came in PARADISE CITY and thought there on the earth was MAD WORLD but now I 'M HERE so here won't be TEARS IN HEAVEN ,i felt like a FREE BIRD but then i heard THUNDER !, it was just my alarm so a woke up so all this was just a dream
Anyone knows the chord Ritchie does at 1:46? I guess it's a Dm, since he plays it again in the second chorus, but I don't know the shape of the chord he's playing...
It’s a beautiful song! Ritchie is awesome of course… I just miss Dio here:’(…. R.I.P. Dio!! Is there a full life version of Temple of the King where Dio is singing anyway?
Thing i like about doogie (apart from his name) is he does incredible versions of ALL rainbow eras. dio obviously came first so we would never know, however bonnet and turner could only really sing in there respective eras and singing past singers songs didnt seem right. Doogie on the other hand is amazing accross the board, this particular performance (Rockpalast 95) is probable among the best of all the rainbow albums. RIP RONNIE & LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL
Sorry, I don't understand..why are you calling me a fucking crack head when we're both in agreement, and who the fuck mentioned Hendrix, what are you on ?
Okay dude your goin' a bit overboard with Hendrix. I like Rainbow, but The Who, Zeppelin, Dio can't compete with them (especially now considering the fact he's dead.) No offense.
@oberfour1 Iommi springs readily to mind. Brad Gillis, Rhandy Rhodes, George Lynch, Glenn Tipton....all of these guitarists eclipse Blackmore. He's the Clapton of metal.....sloooooooooow.
@oberfour1 I have to agree, though "best" is a very subjective concept. In any case, he may not be the fastest or technically as clean as some, but when it comes to tone and musicality and making me feel something, no one from the rock world comes close.
Absolutely incredible solo from The Master!

No one can surpass Dio, my friend @kaan318.
His voice was angelic, coming from some other world.

@MrJohnop
Sorry, I don't understand..why are you calling me a fucking crack head when we're both in agreement, and who the fuck mentioned Hendrix, what are you on ?
Chill out for fucks sake.

@MegaGary1967 The best Guitarist of all time! If he`s just one of the best who the hell else compares?
Not Malmsteen ,not Hendrix, Not Van Halen, Not Satrani, Not Skolnick, Not Page I can go on. Blackmore rules!

@oberfour1
