  • Absolutely incredible solo from The Master!

  • the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • IT'S GREAT!!

  • it seems that he(blackmore) is a jerk, but he surely can play!!

  • I've seen them in Rotterdam on that tour. I can't remember it being this great, honestly. In hindsight it's obvious how beautiful this is.

  • Vivan de Noche, Mueran de Dia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dio is better than that guy

  • @Hipsterrify you right

  • This guy sings this song good he copied dio good

  • where is DIO in vocals? ^^

vocals in rainbow = DIO for me

  • without dio= gay

  • I just can't believe that i lost this epic cause i was too young..

I just can't believe that i wasn't even born to see the gold era of the Rock and now most of my big heroes are dead. i feel sad bout that.

  • the crowd clapping is horrible!!

  • @payoff86 The clapping makes it seem more like an old folks reunion concert or a Raffi concert. I guess that's why some people play thrash metal...you can't really clap to that one.

  • very moving, blackmore remains heads in front of clapton and co, bonamasa comes near, great suff.

  • that's great, but i also love th coverversion of Axel Rudi Pell!!

  • the great!

  • Awesome !! A great song of Rainbow !!

  • !!!GNIZAMA

  • Ritchie, it would be a great honor if you'd let me kneel and lick your guitar.

  • This is one off the best guitar solo,s i,ve ever heard .

Listening to it time after time concluding that this was the best Rainbow formula.

Doogie doin a great job, and Ritchie man the way he play,s here AMZAING

  • Love this version. very touchy!

  • who's the 1st vocal?

  • sooooooo beautiful! my all time fav rainbow song! great great solo from the master!

  • Hey I just wanted to know something. Tony Iommi was in town last week on the book signing tour. He was in a Northern Long Island bookstore. Does anyone know if he visited Ritchie? Ritchie lives in Northern Long Island in New York. Thanks. I know they do talk on the telephone once in a while. It would be a dream come true if Ritchie, Tony, and Page put out an album. Three of the greatest bands ever after the Beatle, Stones, and the Who. Victor

  • @toborthegreat A good idea! It will be nice to see them together on the stage. Playing a big big jam. It's only a dream, but who knows? Our dear guys Tony, Ritchie and Jimmy may do a surprise one day!

  • I tell you, what feeling in that solo. I love how Ritchie did this song with this solo. Douglas White is a great singer. Anyone know if he is still singing? Victor

  • @toborthegreat Douglas "Doogie" White is singing at TANK.

  • One of the best songs ever, ever, ever, ever made.

  • Τελικά έχουμε γούστο εμείς οι Έλληνες...

  • one of his best live solos ever :)

  • Ritchie, after 40 years, still my favorite!

  • the singer is a catastrophe ! poor rj dio !

  • Просто супер. ...

  • Dio such pure wARM VOICE ,,iF THERE WAS A gOD SOME ARTISTS SHOULD NEVER DE ..LIKE dIO

  • guitar playing, like all music, is about things like emotion, spirit and creativity

Its never about trivialities such as speed, hair length or uniforms etc.

Blackmore is a one off freak.

CHeck out interviews by Blackmore when he talks about other guitarist such as Beck and Gilmour etc.

  • Ela mori elladara epeidh goustaroume rokies!!!

  • @0ptimall etsi etsi!!!

  • etc mori.....

  • @MegaGary1967, totally agree! sadly he was underrated! but his music speaks for him!

  • Super Ritchie!!!

  • I've seen this video many times and every time I hear Ritchie's solo I'm blown away. Blackmore=The Master!

  • Ritchie IS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe !

  • Great version, but i really like Axel Rudi Pell more, more action in his version of this great song

  • What ever...... JON LORD FOR MAYOR!

  • Great guitar and sound

  • The best

  • oh yeah it was 1970 ,,,,,,,,,,, speed king

  • just go back and listen to Deep Purple In Rock it will show all tell all

  • Dio alive and well in my heart

  • Will this age of 'nuts and bolts' music ever return? Even youngsters born after this time wish it was the sixties-seventees...

  • What a fantastic groupp singer and guitarest. Never tired listening this music.on and on again.

  • Time had come to go to the temple of Ronnie James Dio !

  • @GeorgVanHalen funn i come with ya anyay i was on this show in Dusseldorf in Germany was a nice and rocky concert, but i could see this was the very last time i will see richie rockin liveon stage forever.

  • ASK BLACK-MORE how can learn to play and make good MUSIC for everyone ? !

  • That wig Ritchie is wearing is just sad!!

  • The only guitarist Blackmore had complained about being so good is Radomir Mihajlovic Tocak of the band Smak, when they had a tour in Belgrade in '75.

  • esto es musica lo demas es huevada

  • because black's are always good: Black Sabbath, Black Celebration, Black Dog, Blackmoore:)

  • Why? ..No Mood.

  • MR.Ritchie Blackmore is best guitarist of all time. I like Iommy and Herdrix also, but if I had to choose then Blackmore.

I like rock music more, but in pop Lady Gaga is talented and she is very good!

  • i dont think you can compare any of the best guitar players because their stlyes are very different look at players like clapton stevie ray vaughn hendrix page slash gilmour townshend and of course ritchie blackmore they are all great players but very different in guitar technique

  • @shredmaster100

You forgot Peter Green and Gary Moore

  • yeah i know too many great guitarists to list and gary moore was a brilliant guitarist especially with thin lizzy even though he only recorded 1 albulm with the band but about peter green in his day he was one of the best guitarists but you cannot count him today because hes so wasted from lsd that he cant even remember how to play a guitar and his voice was never the same after the early 70,s i also forhot van halen/steve vai /joe satriani and malmsteen i wouldnt count him as he sucks

  • Ritchie... The greatest guitar player ever.

  • Mr. Bean on guitars

  • Ronnie is now at the Temple of the King............

  • Ritchie is a GUITAR GOD..I wish some day he's gonna to play ROCK again!!

  • a total masterpiece! awesome!

  • The one and only - Truly, the hand of god.

  • These Rainbow gigs were like the last dying stab at greatness - these days he just plays a bunch of deranged crap for his wife. I miss the old Ritchie.

  • who is the singer?

  • @thaistickful Doogie White.

  • stop talking, close your eyes and listen......

    This is Music!!!!!

  • Never heard ritchie's version I thought that Dio's was great but this great also

  • i like the way this version goes first the acoustic thn the real version

  • There's not much to compare this music to if we skip over the other so-thought masterpieces of our civilization like Egypt Pyramids and stuff. It's on a board there with Kashmir and Stairway to Heaven and Bohemian Rhaphsody and yet so little people sing along to it. The pinnacle in story-telling both with music and poetry with melody this is.

  • Yes Page!

  • I regret Ronnie James Dio ! (Ylian, from France)

  • I regret Ronnie James Dio ! (Ylian, from France)

  • I love this song very much ` ;D

Wong Ka Kui ((Hong Kong singer)) is good too ;D

  • wow the great song of rainbow

  • So many feeling in only one song.... Great singer, great arrangement and awesome guitar solo. None of those who are called "artists" today is able to reach even a millionth of this level. Long live Ritchie Blackmore, Doogie White and the others...

  • love this song !! awesome =)

  • That tone is just amazing.

  • awesome guitar solo. Ritchie is such a elegant hard rock soloist.

  • How the fuck can u dislike this epic video...?

  • This is great stuff !! You don't agree ? F/off !!

  • I want Rainbow back! :(

  • goddamn that killer solo!!!!!!!!

  • Musica splendida , grande voce, grande Ritchie Blackmore!!!!

  • the name of this singer.... ?

  • @Slaven308 dougie white

  • Prefer Dio on vocals or Johnny Gioelli

  • White did an amazing job in this one, though i still prefer Dio. And that guitar.. Makes me wonder, how was Blackmore able to put so much soul in that instrument?

  • Ritchie Blackmore, Leslie West, and Gary Moore are some of my favorite greatest, for there time they rocked the 70s hard no one could ask for anything more.

  • This video shouldn't be allowed to even have the thumb down button

  • Looooove it!!!!! For those who would like to check it, there's a group from Spain called Mago de Oz (Wizard of Oz) who made a tribute to this song, it's called el templo del adiós, check it out!!! XD

  • omg that guitar playing, just the right amount of distortion to bring out the bitey sound of the guitar, i love it, it's not overbaked like todays metal sound

  • mod was here

  • Dio and Blackmore R-O-C-K!!! Their talents were not as recognized as they should have been.

  • I love very much

  • best song

  • watch?v=6bOBENNpAM8

  • Who is the solo vocal

Seems to me this no is Joe Lyn Turner

  • @byrobocop :... yes, the vocalist is Mr. Doogy White...

  • @byrobocop if you look better it seems like jack black but he isn't:P

  • Joe Lyn Turner is an overrated pussy.

  • apende yang kau berbual ni babi.anjing...!

  • first time Ive seen ritchie actually play his guitar during a solo lol

  • dio was the best but turner was the right one of rock music

  • I can see why blackmore had him in Rainbow, the singer has a great voice!! Am i the only one that thinks Graham Bonnett had an outstanding voice?!!!!

  • @TheGibson5150 I hope not, Bonnett was awesome. I love the Down to Earth album :-)

  • This song is awesome loved it every time I hear it no matter which singer does it. Of course everyone likes the Dio version but the music is what moves me.

  • It's never easy to live up to the audience's expectations. And it's equally difficult to revive an old song, especially when the original version was a big hit and people still have it in their minds and compare every chord you play now with what you played 20 years ago. But times change, musicians change, preferences change - it's simply not possible to skip 2 decades.

In my opinion (but being a musician myself I am propably biased) they did an excellent job. The good vibes are still there =)

  • i love this song....XD

  • i was in city and it was ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT but suddenly i heard lady gagas song -.-' that was SYMPHONY OF DESTRUCTION for me , i fell down on the ground and saw a STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN , when i reached the top i started KNOCKING ON THE HEAVENS DOOR then i came in PARADISE CITY and thought there on the earth was MAD WORLD but now I 'M HERE so here won't be TEARS IN HEAVEN ,i felt like a FREE BIRD but then i heard THUNDER !, it was just my alarm so a woke up so all this was just a dream

  • @RocknMetalfuL get a fucking job!!

  • @RocknMetalfuL ...just a SWEET CHILD IN TIME.

  • @RocknMetalfuL Dude you 've got issues!!! ; )

  • @RocknMetalfuL sounds like a good night

  • great blackmore very nice solo -improvised- not like the one of the studio

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone knows the chord Ritchie does at 1:46? I guess it's a Dm, since he plays it again in the second chorus, but I don't know the shape of the chord he's playing...

  • mago de oz - el templo del adios

  • @m87ie1 sí, no es la única canción que mago de oz copia de otros grupos...

  • any one know what effects Ritchie uses?

  • oh ... DIO cannot be replaced!

  • Ritchie is the best guitaris of all time no doubt about it

  • Ritchie Blackmore made us understand music. He is God of the giitar.

  • Ritchie Blackmore made us understand music.

  • crasiva pesen!

  • It’s a beautiful song! Ritchie is awesome of course… I just miss Dio here:’(…. R.I.P. Dio!! Is there a full life version of Temple of the King where Dio is singing anyway?

  • Ritchie is from another dimension

  • Ritchie is from another dimension!

  • Saw doogie sing for malmsteen back in Boston '05 , Not the best singer, but has a good resume.

  • @DoctorWho1983 doogie is a cunt

  • I'm an old bugger who bought this album back in'76. For what it's worth Mr White does a very good job. Good enough for me at any rate.

    Slainthe, John

  • GRAZIE!

  • R.I.P DIO

  • Rock´n´roll

  • Thing i like about doogie (apart from his name) is he does incredible versions of ALL rainbow eras. dio obviously came first so we would never know, however bonnet and turner could only really sing in there respective eras and singing past singers songs didnt seem right. Doogie on the other hand is amazing accross the board, this particular performance (Rockpalast 95) is probable among the best of all the rainbow albums. RIP RONNIE & LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL

  • I would recommend trying a cover by Axel rudi pell, the solo is legendary....of course the vocals , none can even touch dio may he rip

  • Great talent...but no where close to Dio in his prime

  • you bOgEl...!!

  • DOOGIE IS ONE OF THE BEST SINGER OF THIS TIME,YNGWIE MALMSTEE, CORNERSTONE, RATA BLANCA, AND MANY GREAT BANDS.SO REPECT THE SINGER.

  • nicee

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • i meant their album Stranger in us all :/

  • this album is awesome

  • you don't press dislike button in a Blackmore song man!!!! you must be an asshole!!

  • overdose, it was just a joke - I just want to see more people playing guitar like this, that's all

  • kids, this is how you solo!!! Ritchie shows how it's done!!

  • @Olegstuff21986 yes mom..

  • The vocal is better than DIO here but no one is always better than DIO...

  • @kaan318

No one can surpass Dio, my friend @kaan318.

His voice was angelic, coming from some other world.

  • the sound of rtchie plays guitar makes calm.. great

  • ritchie blackmore is one of the best guitarists of all time

  • @MegaGary1967

Understatement of the century, but im completely on your side.

  • @MegaGary1967

No he's not, he's THE best guitarist of all time !

  • @midnighttilldawn Of course he is you fucking crack head.

He would have wipped the floor with Hendrix anytime.

  • @MrJohnop

Sorry, I don't understand..why are you calling me a fucking crack head when we're both in agreement, and who the fuck mentioned Hendrix, what are you on ?

    Chill out for fucks sake.

  • @MegaGary1967 The best Guitarist of all time! If he`s just one of the best who the hell else compares?

Not Malmsteen ,not Hendrix, Not Van Halen, Not Satrani, Not Skolnick, Not Page I can go on. Blackmore rules!

  • @oberfour1

Okay dude your goin' a bit overboard with Hendrix. I like Rainbow, but The Who, Zeppelin, Dio can't compete with them (especially now considering the fact he's dead.) No offense.

  • @oberfour1 dude u forgot mr gilmour!

  • @oberfour1 dude u forgot mr david gilmour!!!

  • @oberfour1 Iommi springs readily to mind. Brad Gillis, Rhandy Rhodes, George Lynch, Glenn Tipton....all of these guitarists eclipse Blackmore. He's the Clapton of metal.....sloooooooooow.

  • @oberfour1 I have to agree, though "best" is a very subjective concept. In any case, he may not be the fastest or technically as clean as some, but when it comes to tone and musicality and making me feel something, no one from the rock world comes close.
