There is good and bad music in all eras. Just look at some of the bubble gum and some of the disco during my teens years in the 1970's. Example disco duck. The 1970's also made some of the best rock and disco. Example the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Bee Gees. I think we just choose to remember the good stuff.

This is when Steve Perry fired Ross Valory and Steve Smith and took the band on a definite departure with Randy Jackson, now American Idol judge, playing bass but not really "in" the band. It didn't work and Perry recognized the error. A reunion began, but other parts of Perry's personality, an injury and the death of his mother caused a permanent split. I'm bemused at how many people say here there's "no Journey without Perry" but it'll never be again.

Randy Jackson from American Idol on bass and Larry Londin from The Elvis Presley Band on drums. A host of other studio musicians. Awesome production. Nothing compared to this cd sonically at the time. You cranked this up to test your sound system at concerts and shows. Not much has been done to beat this quality of product in 30 yrs.
