  • I WOULD KILL TO HAVE THAT BASS! AND I MEAN IT!

  • just because hes not playing cant stop exactly how it is on the record doesnt mean he sucks. dont be a fucking idiot.

  • you suck

  • Doesn't anyone ever use a fucking 4 string anymore?

  • @diamonddust22 all my basses have four strings!

  • @illfortune921 Good to know. Nice to hear for sure my friend.

  • graphite neck, all feel... satiny... if you will... love em, no dead spots

  • nice tone...bit modern i think....

  • Hey where did you buy this from, I'm looking to buy one...

  • studia brocco suoni come un bimbo alle prime armi

  • nice bass, but very gay hat.....

  • Should have gone with the Quantum 5 with the 2 Bartolini soapbars for that price.

But, it all depends on your sound.

  • when i was 16, i bought my first bass for 100$ and i can play much much better than you.

  • @fukkaburn 3 cheers for you son!!

  • @tomtheatomicbomb Hip Hip!...Hooray! Hip Hip! Hooray! Hip Hip! Hooray!

  • @fukkaburn dude dont be a jack ass. I would understand this comment if he was saying he was the best bassist in the world, but hes not trying to show off. He's just demonstrating the bass, so just get off the video if you dont like it.

  • @fukkaburn oh how cute ! aren't you a little bad ass funk master :D

  • @fukkaburn Who the fuck cares?...

  • very nice bass and nice playing. I reccomend you try and alternate your fingers in your right hand all the time otherwise good job!

  • carbon neck, 5 strings, special finish.

That worths a lot, but not 2600$

should've just take regular one and save 1000$

    ;)

  • I didnt know Flea was playing 5 strings now...

  • @stevoe1000 don't be dumb, he uses it in a couple songs only

  • @dirtybird209 wasn't being dumb...but if you don't like questions then don't post here ok...

  • @stevoe1000 I post wherever I want!

  • @dirtybird209 yes post wherever you want mate, that's your right...but don't post stupid comments to me, ,that's not your right....

  • @stevoe1000 ahh I was just kiddin' man... I won't be more childish, sorry

  • can't say im a fan of your technique but this is a sexy ass bass

  • Way to go Tom!!

That bass is a real beast!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd

  • i put duct tape on the back of my bass for stickyness :D

  • sounds cool,nice bass player

    good video 5 stars

  • I agree for the preamp!

I had a 2004, and the preamp room was much better done

now I have the 97, the battery is just swiming in there :(

and I think it's kinda impossible changing back to 18 volt, not enough room :(

    thanks for the review

  • 2600 lol

he paid 1700 for a special finish.

I just bought the same thing with a regular paint job for 900

  • he also has a carbon neck. but i do agree he paid a little too much for that bass. a reasonable price for that is $1300

  • 2600 for a bass? Fuck that

  • @ForgetTheCow2 Why do you say that? Pretty cheap compared to some of the Alembics and Carl Thompson's out there. I'd say if you truly have the passion for playing the bass and have the cash for it, you've got no excuse to be playing a shitty ibanez or a squire. I've eaten ramen noodles for two months to be able to afford the gear I want.

  • @bassace663 Alembics and Carl Thompson's are custom shop basses though, HUGE difference. But I won't chirp this guy for spending so much on this bass, it must be what he wanted otherwise why would he get it? It may not seem worth it to some people but it must have been worth it for him.

  • @ForgetTheCow2 you have no idea for the flea bass

  • @ForgetTheCow2 You can't put a price on a good bass. Warwicks are usually in that price region and they are unbeatable

  • @ForgetTheCow2 yea dude forreal, i just got a Rogue 5-string for $250 and it sounds amazing, price isn't always everything about a bass

  • @ForgetTheCow2 its an epic bass but it is very expensive

  • Too expensive

  • Fucking beautiful bass! It's gotta be nice to have a carbon neck when the seasons change and humidity screws up all wooden necks ;)

  • carbon fiber!!!

  • yep, never goes out of tune.

  • sweet bass

  • Another man's crap is another man's treasure

  • was it even worth it? i mean...does it have the features and playability of a 2.6k bass?

  • Some people don't like the sound,it's not warm sounding like other basses with wood necks. But that wasn't the sound I was after.I've set up alot of basses and guitars, I have the action set to 1/16". which is really low with no fret buzz. The only time the bass goes out of tune is when I bump the tuning peg.I love the bass not because of the name or the price. But because in the 10 years of playing it felt the most natural feeling in my hands.I judge a bass after I play it,I fell in love with it.

  • no i understand i mean i buy what fits in my hands the way i like it and sounds to my ear how i like it but this kind of bass isn't really my thing...i don't like the carbon fiber neck...carbon fiber belongs on supercars. I mean if I had over 2 grand to blow on a bass i'd get like a top quality Reissue Fender

  • why?

  • @dumapies its a great bass but not worth that much

  • @dumapies I think you should mind your own business

  • beautiful bass

  • nice

  • i hate rich people .v. lol

  • yeah me too. I saved for 2 years

  • The 9v battery is for the onboard preamp. It allows you to boost or cut the lows, mids and highs. Rather than having to make adjustments on your amp, you can make adjustments from your bass

  • whats the 9V battery for?

  • thats pretty cool, the only thing i dont get is why do they make a 5 string funk bass... how many funk songs require a low b?.. actually whats something that isnt metal that needs a low b?

  • A lot of modern Jazz and Gospel uses 5 - strings. Also, just because it's funk doesn't mean it's limited to 4 - strings. There's nothing wrong with expanded and experimenting with different equipment.

  • Country, that's the best example. Although I hate country, I also hate ignorant pricks like yourself

  • nice

  • it looks pretty good seems to have a twangy sound of it

  • it is pretty

  • Isn't the neck carbon fiber? I thought that was the main selling point, cause it will never warp or need adjusting.

  • It is carbon fiber

  • Great bass. I just got mine in December and it's absolutely excellent. How'd you get yours custom?

  • I bought it from planet bass.I love the fact I haven't had to adjust the tuning in 3 weeks.Have you had to adjust the truss rod at all?

  • Re: flea bass Re: flea bass

Nah, I haven't done much work on it. I mess around with the action every now and then depending on what kind of sound I want. I also just changed the strings yesterday so it's sounding really nice right now. It's hands down the best bass I've ever played. I've got a super-rare red flake I've never seen anyone else use too. So I'm really proud of that. Mine's a four string though. I need to get some videos of it up. I need my computer fixed.
