  • This was easy to make👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • yay!!! i did it! 8 hours later.... uhm to anyone trying to do this may i suggest tape?? yeah I know its not the "right" thing, but when i was sticking the pieces together i taped them on the inside. This made the whole ball more stable and easier to assemble puls the tape is on the inside so no one can see

  • wow..your amazing!!!!!!! very amazing!

  • Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhh D: Not even gonna try that

  • WTF WHAT DID I DO WRONG !!!!!!!

  • Who was like this looks easy and then u see 30 pieces and ripped the paper ????

  • 30, really?! It took me just 7 minutes to make only 1. LOL going to take me a LONG time.

  • can I do this with more parts? or with less? to make different size?

    pd: I DID IT!!!!!!!

  • @LayRae87 i think that to make a larger size you should use a larger piece of paper for each part.I made one in 5 hours and came out a lor larger than the one iin this clip.

  • after I take the triangle out of the pocket what the heck am I supposed to do!!!!

  • I am stuck in 3:25 !!!!

  • i did it!!!

  • @barbabellaatjie

  • i decided to take a real challenge i'm making my first cherri bloosom ball with paper of 5cm x 5cm an i'm wrestling with the moduls, i regret of the size

  • pero en el video deberian incluir cuantas piezas se utilizan para poderlo hacer

  • @rkrdho125 he said need 30 pieces. ;)

  • I had this same "paper wrestling" problem when I made my first Bascetta star. Not fun X(

  • How do you manage to keep all attached without falling apart ??

  • @kiwication I am interested in ur mystical 10 times more advanced magic origami model can u tell me what it is so I can look it up

  • Hi! Just a question, can you also hang this cherry blossom ball on a string? How do you attach the string to the ball?

  • @JaredLetoFanGirl When I make them with strings for hanging, I loop some string through a button, and before I close up the ball I put the button inside one of the "pyramids" with the loop going through the peak to the outside. This way I don't need to worry about a knot sliding out of the ball.

  • Great tutorial...

But it is difficult! Took me 3 attempts to figure out what I was doing wrong, but I made my first piece :P Now just 29 more to go...

  • im having trouble with the assembly

  • r u japaniece

  • i did it

  • at 9:03 the thing looks like a swim cap

  • Like like like!!!!great video!!wow!!

  • i did it i feel good

took like 2 hrs but i feel good

  • It's so difficult to put all the pieces together. I had to use scotch tape!! I felt like I cheated haha

  • I'm trying to do this with 10cm paper and it's bloody impossible!

  • this is so cool

  • its looked easy up until it said i need to make thirty. i was gnna use this in a science project and i need like ten of those. i guess i will keep searching

  • Does it work with 6cm paper?

  • @sasukeluva48 The paper just has to be a square. 6cm by 6cm, 8cm by 8cm,etc.

  • @sasukeluva48 It would be exceptionally fiddly. You'd be better going for a bigger piece like 8cm x 8cm or 9cm x 9cm.

  • i need to watch the same video 30 times:O

  • @shaksable wow you really need to improve your memory! i normally remember origamis that is like 10 times more advanced on my 1st try!

  • I need an awesome toothpick! :p

  • wtf is with all this fast motion shit slow it down

  • I like origomi stuff!¡₩§‘łôöòóõœōø

  • O_O shall i try this tom! i hope it works for me...

  • At first I was like "oh this isnt going to be so bad" and then the words "30 of these are required" popped up.... D:

  • Is this model stable?

  • nice vid

  • It's so easy to do it with 9x9 paper!

I just had to use a glue stick :D

  • how many papers do we need ?

  • @mytomandjerrytales 30. . .

  • my brain will explode.....

  • longest module ill ever have to make in origami and on top of it i have to make 30 lol

  • I tried assembling this once a while back, and had troubles with it...

I wanted to try it again last night with the units I had made. And assembled it correctly. I was pissing myself.

And I had forgotten how to fold them.

And it took me ages to find this video again. Frustrating, but now I am happy.

Thanks very much for uploading this.

  • what country r u from???

  • i should have so many patience because is sooooo hard!!

  • Hi, i need your origami to do some kind of box for school. do you think that if i put something fragile inside this thing is gonna break, if falls in the floor?

  • i also hate this...though i managed to do it :|

  • omg can u make one for me

  • Comment removed

  • @iamHunter345 just try to practice it more and more so you will get it

  • If you wanted to do three colors would you have to do 10 of each? Just want to make sure that three colors actually work well together and have a pattern

  • awsome

  • OH MY GOD! THE ALMIGHTY F5 BUTTON FAILED ME!

  • Gosh this thing is so hard to assemble...

  • Heh heh i cheated; i used tape! lol

  • @ChristopazZX oh w8, u need a large square paper for this?

  • I made this a while ago with 7x7cm paper. I remember that it was a pain in the ass to assemble and I thought that I would never do it again. But here I am again with a pile of paper =D

  • I did it! The hardest part for me was having the patience to fold 30 units. It was also difficult to make the triangle. But in the end, I managed it. Thank you very much!

  • LoL assembly

  • OMG!!! i was thinking what if i would make this with those 270 pieces like sonobe units!

  • Omg you must have a bunch of origami stuff but that is so confusing

  • tanks

  • yay i made it :D

  • Paper Wrestling is better than Pro-Wrestling! Ya done good! Now I'm ganna do it.

  • 30 peices of origami paper o.o.... well i'll do this next year ^^'

  • How many pieces of paper did you use? i kinda dont get the assembling part... PLZ HELP ME!!!!!

  • they make great Christmas ornaments

  • Please tell how many units you need. Seriously, I was having trouble finding out how many units you need for modulars.

  • wow. Pretty *o*

  • HI! love the video! I did it but i made the octehedron kind! see u next time!

  • why blue?cherry blossoms are pink so use pink!well if you used all pink try to use yellow.

  • What kind of paper did you use for the thumbnail? It's awesome!

  • THIS-IS-AWESOME

    i can do this

    but(bleahh) its too troublesome

  • lol toothpick of art.

  • Oh boy! This is truly a task i shall take on!! ty!!!!

  • um... what was the first step.lol :-)

  • can i do it with bigger paper?

  • i like this and oragami

  • Wooooooooooo-hooooooo,......

  • Lol cool, but you should say how many papers to use in the beginning.

  • Looks Too Hard.>OMG

  • pfft. i made it from 10x10 cm easy no paper wrestling lol i guess cos I'm a origami pro . btw really cool ball i love it.

  • the modules are semi easy to make, and hard to put together, but it turned out great!

  • thnx.. i made it but i've cut a piece from each 3 units cuz i couldn't pull them together .. anyway it was so nice .. thank u

  • adoro o seu trabalho. com esforço e dedicação consigo acompanhar o passo a passo e ter a satisfação de concluir o trabalho!! obrigado

  • assembly <.<

  • i dont use the toothpick i only do some chicken fight with it and its all in lol

  • @ origamisnake ROFL! Yesss.

  • i made all the peices to this but its hard to put together.

  • never mind, sorted it

  • As with many models after giving it some thought most will get it although this isn't the easiest to assemble ; )

  • Thanks, this is so helpful and pretty, but i keep getting stuck around 3:20, any advise?

  • one of the prettiest sonobes ever! and kinda hard to find instructions 4 it, thanx 4 sharing! now its available 2 any1 2 make 4 free! iv always wanted 2 make this, time 2 get folding, gud clear tutorial! big paper with 2 colours is easy 2 see! :- )

  • I tried to do it with 9x9 cm papers but now it's to hard to put it together (especially the triangles) ;(

Barely half through but everytime i try to add any other module, another 3 get loose :|

Damn it, might need to duct tape them from the inside or use paperclips.

Any better suggestion or maybe some tips/hints?

  • just put a little bit of glue on each tab before you stick it in the pocket

it helps the models last longer too :D

  • nothing wrong with that :)

  • i use scotch tape. . . even though its not allowed!

  • The difficulty is putting in the last in a 3 ring (see 8:00) as it is very difficult to move the flap around the sharp corner. Trick is to pull the existing connection apart such that the flap stays just around the corner and only then place the last and push all 3 into position in 1 go. After a while you will be able to make them even out of very small papers without glue or tape. At the tie of the vid I was not very good at it too ; )

  • WOW that is cool but i think ill make it when i turn into a super origami pro right know im a pro. :)

  • lol i made one thursday and it gna be my grandma's christmas pres and then i bought 500 stickey notes yesterday"i want the stickyness to die!!!!!!!!" lol

  • i loveeeeeee uuuu thx soOoo much i done it now its work i make i am soo happpy

  • if u ran out of origami paper can we do it with stickey notes?

  • You can but the stickiness doesn't make it easier ; )

  • @anmartjbaby if you dont have origami paper, make a sqaure out of printer paper, and rip it into 4ths and soon u will have 30+ sqaers

  • thats gonna be a challenge... cant wait to try it out!

  • can i do 12 instead of 30 ?? 30 is too much :((

  • Yep, but you get an octahedron with a 4-petal flower which just isn't as pretty ; )

  • i shall take the challenge of doing it on 3x3 paper!!!!

  • with any size of papier?

  • Oui, almost any size paier will do, for a first one I would recommend at least 15x15cm (6x6"), not so easy to put together ; )

  • question, always with 30 ? can we make it smaller?

  • As with all sonobes you can make it with less modules but it doesn't look anything like this 30-module version, which look best ; )

  • do you use a special origami paper? or is it just standard folding paper?

  • No special paper required for any of the models I show. Copy paper, gift wrapping paper will do fine too ; )

  • how can u di this cus its to tufffffffff i do it 100 time but not make it grrr ufffffffff y i am not like u uffffffffffffffff

  • oh so it like kusudama but the module is just different!

  • Yep, assembly is the same for both as per regular sonobe ; )

  • omg i made 30 and then i came back to the video to figure out how to assemble and im completly lost. do you have any tips? thx xD

  • just so you know, this is a tomoko fuse piece, its gonna be a bit awkward and sometimes impossible to do.

  • Made another one today. Its really quite impressive. Glad to hear you can get it together with the smaller paper - I'm still struggling with that (it keeps falling apart) but am determined to keep trying. I really enjoy all the modular origami you post and am always on the look out for some more design ideas.

  • This one takes some time and effort but the results are amazing. I will definitely make more of these. Thanks for the great instructions and the motivation. I am also trying to make a small one (need more practice with assembling it first though). My advice to anyone struggling with this one is to keep trying. You will see amazing results.

  • Indeed, indeed! Also you will get better after some practice, in the beginning I was struggling with 6" (15 cm) squares but now I make them with much less effort out of 3" (8cm) squares ; )

  • i looked at the video first and started to do it but as soon as i saw that i had to make 30 i laughed but when i finished it looked like crap so ill try again but great instructions : D X D

  • hey thanks for the Toothpick piece! What the heck Brilliant............... no more wrestling...ha ha magically slips on in, love it

  • nice

  • i suck @ putting it together >_>

  • how many should we make

  • see 5:15 - 30 looks best but it is a sonobe so you have more options ;)

  • I dont thisk its too hard, but you skip parts of the assembling, and that makes it harder.

I think thats what people ask for when they tell you to be more specific.

You suddenly jump from 3 assembled pieces to 5, and thats when we get lost.

  • The assembly is the same time and again, when you understand how modules fit together you can make all the polyhedra that are possible with sonobe type units not only this one... Anyhow once you completed the 1st 3ring you already have the 1st 2 of the 5 ring together... so again you complete the 5-ring by putting them together in exactly the same way as you already did!! ; )

  • hey barbabelaatje or what ever your name is is the assemble of it is like a icosahedron tomoko fuse? ha

  • hey is it hard to assemble , hey and is the assembly like a icosahedron you know tomoko fuse

  • It is quite hard to assemble but not too bad ...not sure which model you mean there, but this type of sonobe construction is clearly a kind of spiked isocahedron (just remove the spikes and flower petals) so probably yes ;)

  • yeah that one the sonobe im talking about any way thnks

  • OMG this was sooooooooooooo easy to make!!!!!! thanks 4 da vid !!!

  • dont worry i sused it out!

  • I dont understand what you do when you flip the on tiangle bit over and then have all the others?

  • Where in the vid? o_O

  • Its really nice, x3

  • could u please make it more specific? PLEASE?

  • Make what part more specific? I don't think I can make it anymore specific, probably you better practice with an easier one... .V.

  • lyk u dont talk or write n e thing. srry. no offence.really really srry:( SRRY!!!!!!!

  • uhhhhm i've made tons of kusudama's thier easy lol but this one is hard
