  • This was shown between after school television shows on WFLD in Chicago (1970's).

  • where did you get these? i totally remember this. thanks for the memories!

  • "OMFG!!!!" I remember this show waaaaayyyyyy back in '79 or '80 when it aired on WKBD channel 50 in detriot. All this f-ing time I've been trying to find this show on the web. Thank you very much for posting this! Brings back memories for me.

  • I have been looking for this cartoon for decades!!! I still rememberd most of the words of the jingle, even after almost 40 years! Crazy!

    Thanks so much!

  • This was a regular afternoon fill-in for TV programming on WFLD channel 32 in Chicago...now I've got that silly jingle in my head...great clip...

  • Wow! I also remember this from the Commander Tom Show in Buffalo. I came upon this searching for "Gonna have a little Tasting Party", maybe from "The Most Important Person" Anybody know?

  • Commander Tom... A Buffalo gem! Long live Promo the Robot and Dustmop!

  • YOU are the (wo)man!!!! I have had that theme song in my head for over 20 years and couldn't remember what it was to save my life. I LOVE this!

  • OH MY GOD!!! I haven't seen this in over 30 years!!! This is FANTASTIC! Thanks for posting!!!

  • PART TWO (read my other post) note the Copyright, because they were 're-running' this and other things in the late 70's and early to mid 80's on KBHK TV 44 (maybe elsewhere) and KBHK tv was a part of the "Fields Communication" affiliates. Also I remember "Snippets", "Underdog", "Tenessee Tuxedo", "Most Important Person", "Brady Bunch" (long time syndication on KBHK), even "THE BRADY KIDS", "Wonder Woman", "Great Space Coaster", "Dr Snuggles", "Way to go", "Hot Fudge" and so many others not sure.

  • KBHK TV 44 SF/San Jose, California. (KTVU CH 2) (late 70's/early 80's...) I remember this VAGULY: I remember it as being "I't could be you". Before watching this, all I could remember was (0:46) "Look at all the things..." (that scene is pictured in my mind) and the end (0:58) I thought was a 'rainbow" going to the 'castle' and I thought the words "I't could be you" was on the screen. THE VOCAL did go "it could be youuuuuuuu...." just like I remember, but I don't remember the 'series". PART ONE

  • I remember this on channel WKBS 48 in Philadelphia. In a way of South Jersey.

  • Yeah, so do I!!! I grew up in the Philly suburbs and watched this every day on channel 48. I feel like I'm 5 yrs. old again!

  • This and The Most Important Person was the best. They showed these last after the good cartoons. My self I grew up in Camden.

  • I grew up in Moorestown. I remember watching these all the time on Channel 48.

  • 'sup FaytLinegod myself Camden.....the good ol days of weekday afternoon cartoons. Now I live in tulsa.

  • This is another great memory from the Commander Tom Show on WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo, New York.

  • I'm curious - which station in New York would've aired this one? (I know WPIX ran "The Most Important Person" shorts.)

  • OHMY!!! I remember this!!!!

  • I loved the 70's style music and those singers sound really familiar. I think I heard them in some Dr. Seuss specials.

  • I have not seen this cartoon since 1983.Thank you so much for posting this i have been searching for this cartoon forever.

  • OMG!! I forgot all about this one. But as soon as I heard the theme song, I remembered. I always remembered that music that played when the bird would talk over the years but I always thought it was from Most Important Person. You can tell it was from the same people, cause the characters did look alike from both cartoons. I believe that was Thurl Ravenscroft that did the voiceover of the title. Now, if only they would release these gems on DVD, that would be awesome.

  • EXCELLENT! First time I've seen this since 1983. Thank you!

  • Thanks for the info. I did not know that, but now that you mention it, the voices do sound like Weinrib (also "Time For Timer" and "H. R. Pufnstuf" and possibly Ravenscroft. I'm always interested in knowing more info on these relatively obscure shorts.

  • Finally! A Kingdom of Could Be You episode short that was originally aired on Captain Kangaroo in the 1973-1974 season and later seen in schools. This is done by the same animation studio who did The Most Important Person! Voices include Lennie Weinrib as the wizard Wiz and the talking bird narrator. And I think either Thurl "Tony the Tiger" Ravenscroft said the episode's title.
