I have mixed feelings about this song, for while I'm all for Asian-Americans getting out there and showing they can make music, can be in movies, etc., like "normal" Americans, there's little distinctive about this song. I've heard this all before since around the mid-90s. I understand it's what many listeners like, but if they don't do something different, they'll join the heap of soundalike bands.

My point is, they're not making anything I haven't heard before. While, again, I'm all for Asian-Americans getting more exposure in pop music (and hopefully gaining success), this group sounds like many groups I've heard before. They are imitators of shallow pop-rock. Pop can be good, even great, but this here is just more of the same.

@darkcinderellaisabel If they were Caucasian, I would say the same thing, and I do say the same thing about many white rock groups and their sound-alike product. They are imitating a widespread, oft-imitated rock ballad style here. There's very little distinctive about it. Think of it this way: It's similar to how so many movies nowadays are shallow spectacle that care more about CGI and 3D than anything reflecting art. It's all corporate product, straight from the cookie cutter.
