  • that was sick !! check my cajon cover on my channel !!

  • @TheRisingFist that was amazing mate

    cheers

  • I bet you'd murder Mpc pads bro. Good job!

  • I can see your penis.

  • Sick man!

  • what kind of tape are you using that is textured? love this idea! It can't just be regular tape. What kind of tape has a texture rough enough to get that SCRAAAAAPE sound? GREAT JOB!

  • @secondhandshamus it's just duct tape.. that has slightly more grip than normal tape, although parcel tape works quite well.. anything that has a shinier more 'sticky' surface from that of the drum... although you can just dampen your finger slightly and it produces a similar effect.. also, I've been experimenting with using rubber tips on my fingers.. that works even better.,

  • @newschoolcajon actually.. im going to make a video of that right now :)

  • Wow! This sounds awesome. I have never even heard of this "cajon" I hope you don't mind if I downloaded this audio!

  • @Miker9595 course not mate, help yourself :)

  • You sound good, I am not sure what the dub step is though, this is just drum and bass.. I think dub step is a stupid word used to define things that already have definitions.. Dub music has nothing to do with dub step at all, and it is just a name people use to sound cool.. lets all agree to stop using it please.

  • @gleventhal yeah you're right...the beat boxer i was transposing is a world renowned dubstep beatboxer, and I was using one of his beats, so I just said dubstep.. I'm full aware of what dubstep is though..

  • The tape idea is really neat idea. The 'TractoCajone' ;-)

  • That's pretty damn awesome. I don't like dubstep or anything but the tape is pretty deck. Although it doesn't have the same sound every time, and you have to stop the beat to do it is kinda lame, but it's different. Maybe you'll start a revolution with duct tape. Pahaha. I'm definitely trying this.

  • @roboslobonator yeah, I'm working on that stopping and starting thing, its more so I can get a wop wop sound through a soundsystem.. the band i play with play acoustic drum and bass, so these techniques are something I want to get brilliant at.. Thanks for watching, more videos coming in the next day or so :)

  • That red stuff. Is that tape for traction? Explain! Also, the video was pretty neato skeato.

  • @theoya hey man, yeah the tape is for traction - not originally though! i just thought it looked cool then discovered it sounded cool.. :)

  • Great how new music along with new school beatboxing can influence old instruments in this way!

  • I like this mate. Never even seen that instrument before. Nice one
