Got mine ordered just curious for a drill pattern .. DV8 got a contract email for questions ?
If not how would i go about drilling this for max backend on a 40ft. xmas heavy oil pattern ?
PaP is 41/2 over 1/2 up, medium rev , 17-18 mph, right hand bowler , i stand at the first back dot throw out to the right 3rd arrow hit maybe about the 5 board. Im lookin for a skid flip drill pattern for my line. Dont want to have to move to much right , hate the down and in shot .. lol
wow, I just got mine punched up today. I threw it a few games and I can say that this thing hits like a Truck on steriods. It hit and never left a pin sitting on the deck afterwards. It destroys the pocket. amazing ball
@hughston89 From experience it will play similar, but the Hell Raiser will get down lane a little cleaner with a more abrupt and angular backend motion.
If this ball was that legit they wouldnt need all the theatrics on the lane and I like that every person throwing it is a high rev player and/or a two hander...rolls eyes
@JohnMarat Clearly, those theatrics sold the first 3 balls quite well. Of course everyone throwing it is a high rev player, no one buys a ball because Curlie Becton threw it. Every ball released by every ball manufacturer is legit, it is about matching it to your game.
@JohnMarat Not to mention, only one of the players is truly high rev, Valenta. His rev rate is 500 to 550 off hand, Machuga's is 400 making him the average rev rate on tour, and Charlie Brown's is more like 350-300, a true tweener.
@cdlcrusader1 I was going to respond to that comment myself, but I figured you can't fix someone that dumb. 400 revs, "Oh he's lower rev/stroker, he played out during the chameleon championship show, he must be."
@JohnMarat bowlingballdotcom will have their reaction video up pretty soon. Just shot the video on Monday and let me tell you, this thing flat out hooks. Mike will show a couple angles, but his last 3 shots he is sliding left of the gutter cap lofting to the arrows and getting the ball back from near the right gutter. May be one of the most aggressive balls out right now.
@BowlVersity I don't doubt this thing hooks. I just loath the marketing Brunswick is using in this video. And the fact everyone who puts out video reviews are high rev style of bowlers, it makes me chuckle.
@JohnMarat Granted we have a very high rev player and a power tweener in our videos, we also have Curlie. Unfortunately he was not available for the Hell Raiser Revenge test.
Yes this is just what I needed. I went a with a little bit of a weaker pin down layout on my original Hell raiser and I have a hard time getting it to recover from out side of 5 on most shots. This looks like a great choice for me for when I really need to open up the out side part of the lane.

I have 4 questions I need answered
On the market right now we have the nexus solid , the defiant, and hellraiser revnge for balls that are super aggressive.............
1. out of those 3 which has the most overall hook??
2. out of those 3 which has most length??
3. which has the least length??
4. which is the most versatile ( most useable )?? (i.e. fresh oil to breakdown, slick to dry etc..)
I am planning to make new purchases very soon so these answers will be very help

By the way, is Machuga's foot better? I know that a ball fell onto it during the World Series this year.

Did anyone else notice it has the exact same balls specs as the Nexus Solid?
