  • You weren't drafted... you weren't even fucking born you wannabe.

  • If America had not started the war, South Vietnam would have fallen into communism in 1954 and more Vietnamese would have been murdered in cultural revolutions like those launched by Mao in China (20 million deaths) & Khmer Rouge in Cambodia (2 millions)

Total Vietnamese democide by communists: 1,040,000 (1975-87) by HCR.

    Excutions: 100,000

    Camp Deaths: 95,000

    Forced Labor: 48,000

    Democides in Cambodia: 460,000

    Democides in Laos: 87,000

    Vietnamese Boat People: 500,000 deaths.

  • TOMP66666 you are totally correct!

  • @TOMP66666 : well, maybe so .. & maybe not. In any case, tho .. it was always their own domestic problem .. not the west's .. not ours. The immense material cost, the utter waste of resources, lost, wasted aid to those successive, utterly-corrupt Sth Viet regimes, not to mention the priceless tragey in US + Allied lives-lost + forever-wounded, the legacy of emotional trauma for those who came back .. it just wasn't worth it all .. no matter how much the sth viets may have suffered themselves.

  • @TOMP66666 Civilian casualties resulting from the American involvement in Việt Nam are estimated to have been between 3,000,000 and 5,000,000. The democide in Việt Nam committed by the Maoist Trường Chinh clique would likely not have occurred had the USA maintained support for Hồ Chí Minh's moderate leadership.

Furthermore, you need to do some reading about the Khmer Rouge. To say only 460,000 were killed is ludicrous. Estimates are closer to 3,000,000 killed.

  • @TOMP66666 Bear in mind that the USA supported the Khmer Rouge after losing the war Việt Nam. The only reason the Khmer Rouge held the UN seat of Kampuchea (Cambodia) for 10 years after they were topples is the support they received from the USA.

  • Actually, some of these pics are from the 1967 protest at the Pentagon, not from the Moratorium demos.

  • 1967? Are you sure that wasn't 1969?

  • These are the same people who rallied against going after Hitler before and at the beginning of WWII. They also supported communism and socialism like Vice President Wallace under FDR who passed government secrets to the Russians through his sister's husband- and when caught he wasn't indicted but Truman was given the VP slot on the ticket. These people are called the Democratic Leadership and Party now!

  • you are a dumbass. go die in a fucking hole. They wished for a better world, unlike republican faggots like u, looking for supremacy

  • VietNam started by Truman not supporting the nationalists at the end of WWII & let the Frogs back in. Kennedy-inept & had the elected Pres. of VietNam assasinated causing the breakdown in goverance. Johnson-a liar more interested in body count than winning. Nixon brought order, reduced troops by hundreds of thousands, brought the North to the table, negotiated a way out; then the Demnocrat Congress dishonored America's word-cut the funding to the South. You & the peaceniks have vulgarity-14 UGH!

  • Gee, right-wing revisionist history is fun, isn't it?

  • And your brain continues to deteriorate.

Perhaps you should ask your shrink to up the dosage of your meds cos it's clear the current amount just ain't doing the trick.

  • What is it like to contribute nothing to human discourse. If you don't understand history guess you can spiral downward to insults like most good Democrat comrads and Move On Socialists. But then you are from San Francisco and that says it all.

  • Good lord, are you dumb.

  • Actually, it was the right-wingers like you who "rallied against going after Hitler." You probably would have supported Hitler had you lived then. After all, he fought the Communists. Surely you would have appreciated him for that, no?

  • Don't remember Papa Joe Kennedy being a right wing Republican. He supported Hitler. Hitler joined Papa Joe Stalin in order to rape eastern Europe. Facism is just the mirror side of Socialism / Communism. Republicans like Eisenhour Nixon Reagan tried to solve the problem. FDR sold everyone out, like the Democrats in 1973 selling out the Viet Namese, when he handed eastern Europe to Stalin. Communist - Democrat -Islamic Facist - same same - enemies of personal freedom - enemies of humanity!

  • You've mostly proven that you can't spell and that you can't tell one thing from another. I'm sure that all the fascistic regimes that Reagan and his Republican colleagues supported--regimes based on torture and terror to keep themselves in power--exemplified your idea of "personal freedom."

  • Sorry about the spell check - left hand doesn't have much feeling, but it is the idea that counts. Biggest dictator supporters of all time FDR, Carter and most Democrats that supported the KKK, Ores, Wilson called the Birth of a Nation a great film. Democrats supported slavery in this country and abroad in China, Russia, Cuba etc. , but truth doesn't sit well with the left. Kennedy had President Diam assasinated - the elected President of Viet Nam. Johnson made up the Gulf of Tonkin.

  • What an incredibly warped reading of history! Now you're blaming us for the KKK? Next you'll claim the Republican right wing made up the ranks of the civil rights movement. There's too much bizarre stuff in your posts, going in too many bizarre directions, to even respond to it. Sure, JFK was a cold warrior and got the US into trouble in Vietnam and LBJ got us in deeper. So that proves something about Democrats per se? What, are all Democrats clones in your fantasies?

  • Republicans ended slavery, African Americans were elected to public office in the South under reconstruction then the Democrats traded the Presidency in return for the end of reconstruction. The Democrats unleased segregation & the KKK. Republicans made Women's Suffrage law over Pres. Wilson's objections. The mid-20s Dem convention saw the KKK 1 vote from nomination. Democrat, Communist & Facist leadership are all the same. Power, hate, oppression and self serving at the expense of the people.

  • You've convinced me that I'm the mortal enemy of everything I've believed in & fought for all my life. I'm going to shoot myself now. 'Bye!

  • By shooting yourself you align with the NRA. Guns kill people so you have allowed the genie in the metal & powder to take yourself. Sort of like OJ holding himself hostage. In these convoluted times just join we who feel that in the next five Congressional and Presidential elections vote for anyone not in office. Let's vote them ALL out with a People's Agenda. One term & move to cut 60% of the bureaucracy that serves no good purpose. Peace - War - Whatever! Truth to Power - Freedom. God Bless.

  • I'm willing to acknowledge that there have been many wrong-headed policies perpetrated by Democrats and that a Republican or two did something good by accident here and there. I would never defend the Dixiecrats. Do you think Jesse Helms was a hero? He had dinner with Roberto D'Aubuisson in his home. You probably think "Blowtorch Bob" D'Aubuisson was a hero too.

Carter was one of the biggest supporters of dictators? Reagan had him beat by miles in that category.

  • By the way, it sounds like you think the Cold War and the Vietnam War, for which you blame the Democrats (with only some justification--it was the Republicans like Joe McCarthy who pushed us into that mentality), were bad things. I thought you were a rabid anti-Communist and supporter of the Cold War and Vietnam War. Now you say it was the Democrats who were responsible. Make up your terminally confused mind! Was Kennedy a Communist or an anti-Communist. You can't have it both ways.

  • So 1865 and 1965 or 1985 make no difference to you. Everything is the same as everything else. You sound like a supporter of Ralph Nadir (the spelling is intended).

Anyway, I give up. You may consider yourself the victor in this "debate." Your logic has defeated me. Your "facts" have defeated me. You've convinced me that up is down, black is white, in is out, etc.

  • Where can I find the original pictures in good resolution of this movie?

  • I hope you find my war songs here appropriate

  • As in Vietnam, the only way to stop the Iraq & Afghan wars, is to defeat the US military. Here & there. Paul Kangas, Vietnam Vet. You tube: paul8kangas. Vietnam war began on 11-22-63 & ended May 1. 1975

  • 50,000 Americans dead, and for what?

  • Nothing. Zero. Nada. Zip.

  • Notice those hipie and VVAW traitors marching under the enemy flag.

  • So. Did you fight in Vietnam? Or Iraq 1 or where? I'm real curious.

  • So am I speaking to Tojo or Bismark here?

You sem to endorse miliatry decisions be left only to the imperial military classes.

Your attitude led to two World Wars, are you a war monger? I'm curious.

  • Curious? No, you're a traitor.

  • Why do you say that?

  • I fought in Vietnam, and I'm telling you that it was a stupid, tragic waste of American blood and American treasure -- and don't bother calling me a traitor. I served for 28 months in the War Zone, and I paid my dues.

Thank God that America finally woke and put an end to it.

  • VVAW = Traitors
