I first heard this on Juno, and the lyrics struck me when she sings about Paul Baribeau taking her to the giant tire swing. The swing she is singing about is probably the one by the Calder sculpture in Grand Rapids... where I live and have many memories swinging! yay! yeah! yep

The Grand Rapids tire swing is pretty big- the tire is some sort of tractor tire or a monster truck tire or something. It's hung by thick chains from construction I-beams that go 15 or 20 feet into the air.
