@bodqer gary was so real, didn't dress any different, his hair was natural, he wore a black leather jacket and jeans to be a rocker, but when he turned up his amp and played, he blew peoples minds by his technical abilities, he was doing alot of this stuff in the early 70s, and a lot of metal speed players looked up to him

I remember watching this too back in the day. Gary is as brilliant as I remember. The female presenter was called Deidre Cartwight if my memory serves correctly!

well, it depends what you have plugged into it and who's playing it. I had one for a while in the earlier 80s and just loved it. Probably the best distortion box of it's time.

The spikey red haired bird! I remember them all wearing black leather jackets when they "covered" rock. The bass dude was a bit lame if it didn't involve thumb slapping - he must've been dreading that episode!

I can remember whatching this as a kid and thinking this can`t be real you can`t play a guitar like this . I immediately went out and bought one of his albums and 25 years later her we are . Life would have been a lot more boring lol but a lot less expensive buying all thes guitars and gear lol .

Yeah, I had all those clips from Rock School, of Gary Moore on tape - there was a nice one of him showing the different sounds between a Les Paul and a Strat. Can I find that clip now? Damn, I think I may have taped over it!!!

Yeah, I remember that too, Charlie! I seem to recall him switching effortlessly between different musical styles, including a perfect Knopfler sound.

@19Charlie65 Yeah, I remember Gary brilliantly demonstrated many different sounds (both clean and dirty) that the Stratocaster is capable of .He used the red Strat featured here but he never played a Les Paul .He did ,however ,mention a Les Paul when he stated that "unlike a Les Paul,a Strat dosen't get duller sounding as you turn it's volume down".I loved his demonstation of the Strat's clean tones and I would love to see this clip again ;surely someone could make it available on utube ?

Gary is amazing for sure. And I understand you respect to him. Yet, to b honest, the comparison is not the luckiest one. Jesus is the son of God as you know. From the 10 commandents you shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God. This is disrespect to the ones who believe.
