  • they should have done all the books... not just the first 3...

  • Terrible quality! Why does the image constantly trembling? I could hardly enjoy it! Please, do something to make it better!

  • @queenagi Please read the information box.

  • I'm so glad you put this up! It was a pleasure to revisit it again. I recorded this special, way back in the late 80's. At some point in the early days of the internet, I I very foolishly sent the video tape on a "round robin" allowing people to see it and record it. This was before youtube and streaming video! I never got it back. Seeing it again was a delightful surprise. Thank you!

  • again people listen to how they say her name its Meagan, not megan pronounced almost as mee-gin

  • Did I imagine it or did she pull a green shirt out of her pants near the end?

  • i love Anne of Green Gables.

I love the characters, the cast....the books, the movies.

    everything.

  • That was awesome!! This movie is amazing and it was great to see behind the scenes!

  • Lol Kate this is a remake. But by far the best, and I agree Megan Follows is amazing no one will ever be able to do this as well as her. She absolutely *was* Anne.

  • @llirra I don't think you could call this film a remake of the 1934 version, remakes are films that follow the original FILM, this film does not, it followed the BOOK, and it's a miniseries.

The 1934 film actually has very little to do with the actual book and it's dreadful.

There is a new film version of Mildred Pierce being made as a miniseries that follows the book, it is not being called a remake of the 1945 Joan Crawford film.

  • Thanks for posting this :D

  • I remember seeing AOGG in 1985, when it was first screened in the UK, they were advertising it for ages before it was shown, when I eventually saw it, I was utterley captivated, I watched it with my Nannan who has now died and my sister, brings back such happy memories for me

  • Wish Matthew Cuthbert was my dad, he is brilliant, a dream !!!

  • what time period was this filmed in ? .

    70's ?

  • Mid-80s. The first movie was filmed in 1985.

  • you mean 1870's perhaps!

  • haaha :)

  • @KayyKayy9513 The Time period is turn of the century 1890's They moved the time of the novel forward 20 years so that Anne the beauty of La belle Epoch could be captured and reflect Anne's independant attitude.

  • Oh My God!! did u see that hair straightener : O

    ITS SO HUGE!!

  • Don't they sell t-shirts in Canada??? Why are none of the guys fully clothed?

  • Because they're swimming in WATER. Do you swim in water get out go in (for numerous takes) fully clothed?

    LOL

  • b/c they are convinced they look hot that way... lol i dont know! but they definitely sell them here!

  • I WONDERED if they did the boat sinking scene in one take...guess not if they had a hairdryer! Must have been a hot day when the filmed the train scenes, as the camera crew is wearing next to nothing! I was thrilled to learn that parts of the movie were filmed near Little Britain, on Lake Ontario. I always thought of Anne when cycling through apple orchards there, even before I knew that was where they filmed it!

  • LOL, They are covered in their classy respectable clothing from that era, as Anne leaves on the train. Then the camera backs up and reveals scantilly clad camera men.

  • That is the guy who pulled the boat in the river scene. They film different scenes in one day

  • That part was so funny.

It reminds me of the Will Ferrell skit on SNL about casual Fridays.

  • @lostindreams3 XD Makes me wonder if it was really warm out while they were shooting, which makes me feel very sorry for the actors in that Victorian clothing.

  • dont remake pls...

  • I have such fond memories of watching this with my grandma as a kid. I keep going back to the old VHS's and watching these yet again. This and the Wonderworks version of A Little Princess will always hold a special place in my heart.

  • Great end as well Megan is so sweet and down to earth, and I share the sentiment please do not remake this, you cannot top this cast and crew, never going to happen :D.

  • Are they talking about a remake??? Hope not!

  • Amazing, my fave film ever. Thanks for this great footage :D.

  • Thank you, I love Behind The Scenes!

  • I love seeing Megan Follows as herself - she seems to laid back, calm/cool/collected, & *so* so intelligent & well-spoken. Love it! Thanks for sharing.

And thank *you* Miss Megan Follows for giving us all the character of Anne because I don't anyone could've done it better.

oh and, Hollywood, don't do some cheap remake of this! please! LEAVE IT ALONE. just sayin'... they've been making 1 too many remakes these days!

  • So awesome to see stuff like this!! Amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this.

  • Thanks for "Anne of Green Gables" deer are all

    kinder spitis spicel Megan Follows.

We/I love the story on Anne. "Anne spelled with an 'e'".

  • quoi? (lol)

i'm guessing you were trying to say: "Thanks for "Anne of Green Gables". They are all

    kindred spirits, especially Megan Follows.

We / I love the story about 'Anne'. "Anne spelled with an 'e'."

Why do I edit it? because I don't know what a antlered animal has to do with whatever you said afterwards, including Megan's name LMFAO. sorry i just was completely thrown by your comment I *had* to reply :/

  • Megan!!

  • Thank you for this. Any behind the scenes info is rare here in Slovakia to get. I am glad to see something like that, really. Have a nice day :-)

  • It's such a brilliant film. I drank in every second of this as it's so rare to get something new all these years later. Also, Megan is just amazing. They were lucky to get her for the film.

  • Wow. This is what I call a 'gem'. Thanks for posting this. It's so depressing knowing that footage like this exists and we don't see it. They shouldn't be so hard to come by. This should have been included as a feature on the dvd's. I wonder how many other things we haven't seen. Did you all notice Edwina is the assoc. producer?

  • Thank you so much for shareing. I love a.o.g.g.

  • thanks!i luv a.o.g.g
