  • In Lost In Translation?

  • @harlequingirl818 No. It was not. Lost In Translation was made in 2003. This album was done in 2006.

  • Two people don't know the meaning of paradise.

  • Listened to soooo many of their songs and only now did I actually read the description and find out its a band!!

  • " I really wonder why Patrick Watson isn't more well known. "

Why? I think people don't buy pastiche when there's an original : Radiohead.

  • @HollyHope40 I listen to both very often, and PW and RH are each very distinct

  • I'm thoroughly impressed by a lot of the talent coming out of Canada these days.

  • Beautiful song. His voice is just very Chris Martin like. Patrick might be a better lyricist

  • This song could be in Meddle

  • @ibeetpplup Absolutely true ;)

  • E like this music when E am stoned.

  • One loner is not even close to paradise

  • I closed my eyes, an angel was singing to me.

  • los angeles hablan

  • coldplay are wank

  • he's not well-known because i think is voice is too close to chris martin's coldplay singer, and the music too(listen to "parachute" from 1st coldaply's album)what do you think

  • @specialefxseb

There are definitely similarities, but Patrick Watson sounds warmer and more cheerful in a melancholic sort of way, if that makes any sense.

  • oh...this is lovely!!!!

  • maybe it's just me but this particular song reminds me a lot of coldplay. it doesnt make a difference anyway, patrick watson and coldplay are two of my modern-day musical favorites <3

  • It sound like a smooth mix of Radiohead and Pinkfloyd, not bad at all !

  • Wooww... really... It's like on the seashore... Like a dream.. C'est magnifique!!

  • im 14 , and I love patrick watson so much , he's authentic and got a real talent! VIVE MONTREAL !

  • beautiful

  • He is amazing!

  • One of the greatest album i have heard in the last 10 years. This man should be a major star.

  • getting into him was the best decision ever. him and patrick park make a great couple bands

  • one of my favorite solo artists along with anthony green and jonny craig and bon iver:) hes pretty amazing

  • just an amazing artist and guy.

  • Wow.... first time I ever heard of this performer. Puts you in a mood . Very unique.

  • But its good he not known! because instead his songs would me played out! and i dont like it when songs get played out! so its kinda better that we have our own little thing!

  • Montreal :O I'm now happy to now I'm more likely to see him live. :D

  • NOOOO ! im just getting into him and i missed him .... he'll be back through but ...dang .. i missed it , i found his cd in value village, it was pretty sweet jumped in the air whipped the hair around and got weird looks but .. w/e .... they dont love you like i do, heh

  • This album is absolutely perfect. Definitely one of my top 3 favourite albums ever! Every single song is just incredible.

  • Nice description you gave there. I recognize the lights/loudspeakerbackpack you're talking about, he also used that in his show in Holland back in februari this year. Saw him earlier in august last year on a festival too, both performances were awesome. To me he is like one of those artists I'll mention when my kids ask me what music I used to listen too :)

  • this song really sticks in my head..

it's dreamy. and I like that.

  • This and big bird in a small cage are my favorites

  • Oh my gosh, this is BREATHTAKING...

  • I feel like I should be on opium while listening to this...

  • lovelovelove

  • This music is great stuff, just wonderfull.

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm love it.xD Karin

  • with the backpack stuff and the weird lights

  • same thing here in quebec city at le féstival d'été de Québec, great show, this guy is very original and clever.

  • saw him at the winnipeg folk fest and he was waering this contraption so that him and his band could lay out in the audience it was pure awsomeness

  • If that was that weird ass backpack with the lights, he did that last week at the Montréal Jazz fest for the first time. And in a crowd of over 100 000 people, it was crazy.

  • ya super fun there wen't that many people at the concert in winnipeg but it was like super intimate, it sent sivers down my spine soooooo awsome

  • I don't want to be mean, but maybe there weren't many people at the concert because it was in Winnipeg?

But at least that you got to have an intimate concert though! ☺

  • @Zorica12

well ya... come on it's winnipeg!

  • LOL!

  • i meen play plsy out in the audience...

  • I just knew about him yesterday and I already love it!

I can't understand why great musicians like Patrick Watson aren't given the chance to be more well known because everyone should be abble to get to know good music, that doesn't happen...

(Sorry for the English, I'm portuguese. hehe)

    I love him!

  • HE'S A GENIUS

  • @Frederickbassplayer musicly yes, but vocally - sounds too much like jeff buckley to me at times. (puke)

  • lovely <3

  • yeahh my fav! :D

  • I Love Patrck Watson!!!

  • sweetness :]

  • How can you not like Patrick Watson? The insturmental part and his voice are one, they go really good together. Very magical music, I hope he'll play in Amsterdam sometimes:)
