If you dont mind: I'm considering buying a 2001 audi tt quattro coupe. 120K miles for 8,900 dollars. 225 hp, 6spd. I also have the option of getting a 5spd (same car, same hp, just 5 speeds) for 7500 dollars. Do you think these cars are mostly reliable, or mostly UNreliable? the reviews seem bad. So I cant make up my mind. How can a car be sooo horrible?
How does the Haldex system in these TT's compare to the Torsen systems in A4's, etc? This video doesn't show anything to me...I know exactly how they work so no need to explain...just want some real life experiences from people.
I've got a 2000 silverado right now down in Georgia. After we had some recent snow storms this last December I realized my truck sucks in the snow with 2 wheel drive. It also sucks on gas, and I decided I needed to get a car. I could get a honda with like 30mpg, but i'll have only rice power. I needed something with great power, mpg, weather handling, ang looks. I recently found the TT, and thats what i'm getting after the sell of my truck. :D yay for me.
I kinda want one soley for the looks... but then again, their performance really isn't worth the money. I'm torn. They could have at least put the 2.7T from the A6 in there for the money they charge.
2.7t motor is a nightmare. I bought TT225 instead of S4 to avoid this motor. Sure more power in stock form, but the TT225 can be made much quicker (than it comes) with a few add ones (Chip, intake, exhaust).
Nice demonstracion
