A lot of Hmong, who sided with the communist since 1950 and fought side by side with them, to over throught the king and VP. Now got murder by Lao communist govt. So my piont is if you are Hmong no matter how long you side with the communist. It's not safe, unless you are un-educated and poor then you are safe.But if your on a high rank level, then they will murder you when ever they have a chance to do so and not get pinned for it. Every Hmong person "should" know this for a fact.

@kickass1st - i think a lot of these stories must be dued to people that going back there for other purposes. i must have entered laos more than 10 times, and i think if you're just visiting it should be okay. but the horrible stories we heard were mostly people that are into politics and/or wanted something more than just a friendly visit. anyways, i can't say anything when i can't proof anything, but i can say that with all my more than 10 visits to laos, it's all fun and beautiful visitis.

I been there once but I had hear a lot of stories in 2006 the leader in that villager got kill by communist soldiers when I still in Km52, I think his name was Ly Toua , man you don't want to see it look bad, very bad.
