Did you do any work before you got a drawing tablet? Because I'm having a lot of trouble even doing basic artwork without a tablet. And I feel limited on what I can do because I don't have photoshop and I don't have a tablet. I use GIMP, with a lot of additional brushes and shit. So it works pretty well. But it's so time consuming, and fine tuning the drawing literaly takes ages. I would like to see you do a photo without your pad. Just to see what somone else can do.

Amazing job. John Locke is like my favorite character in Lost, and I'm stoked someone made a digital painting tutorial of him finally! As a artist, I've long been frustrated with trying to draw with a mouse. Then I finally found out about Wacom Bamboo tablet and it made painting with computer so natural! I fell in love with digital painting, and I've been recommending the Bamboo to my art students.
