  • It's very strange because I remember watching Glenn Beck on CNN regularly about 4-5 years ago because he was always edifying and had very intelligent and interesting things to say. Only when he moved to Fox News, probably motivated by a big paycheck, did he start going on these rants and losing respect from the public.

  • lives every word of the quran????

"Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment - Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely."

  • "Have you not considered those who make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to untruth while they know [they are lying]." 58:14

  • The culture of hate? I can't believe NO ONE is commentating on that phrase he just used! He uses a generalist view on Muslims as to say they're extremists BECAUSE of their culture?!?! It's like saying the American Occupation in Iraq is a result of the American culture!! Does that make any sense??? No wonder why the New World order wants to kill 2/3rds of the world's population. A WHOLE LOT OF F*CKEN DUMBASSES out there.

  • This is ridiculous. As if PBS isn't consistently controversial.

  • This cunt sucks knob.

I hope that next time he`s out rimming someone takes a massive shit in his stupid lying fucking mouth.

Fuck terrorists, and fuck this cunt!

    Cunt.

  • WOW this is the first time I agree with Glen Beck :/ I never thought I would say that ??!!!

  • @W1A1R1I1S1

Most people don't realize he's not quite the idiot he's made out to be. If you can just get past his extremism on some topics, he has some great opinions.

  • Glenn Beck says he is not a reporter or journalist and that what he says is only his opinion. But here he says this is news. Is that his opinion too?

    Peace

  • @edbook --He's a commentator, and he comments on the news.

    ...Duh.

  • Millions of tax payer dollar? PBS runs on public donations and foundations.

  • @knowthetruth1492 .. They also get tax payer dollars.

  • Well said Glenn Beck. Keep standing up for free speech.

  • 9/11 1973...

  • Comment removed

  • Muslims are fighting to save their Brothers and Sister (now children)

The soon to be Marxist Communist government of the USA are funding fake muslims to split and sabotage the Muslims and rule over them with a Communist Marxist ideology

Saddam Husseins Ba'athist Party was a communist Party

  • I've watched him just enough to confirm what I 've said above. His tendency to push against government involvement in matters of health and wellbeing is not FOR the people but AGAINST them. Good government IS the people, because it is answerable to them. Corporate conglomerates are answerable only to their shareholders.

  • I am old enough (alas) to have seen (and suffered) Fascism in action. FDR put it well in 1938: The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism-- ownership of government by an individual, by a group." Beck seems happy with the corporate takeover of the world. He is full of tribal politics. It's not what he has done, but what he's said.

  • I'm guessing you don't watch too much glenn beck if you think he is for anyone but the people running the people

  • And I take back my previous insults against Zudi Jasser. He's a good guy

  • I am not interested in anything this fat Fascist has to say. For him to talk about other people as fostering hate, when that is ALL he does, is beyond irony. Spiteful, small-minded, hysterical, and fundamentally ignorant he's been dropped by CNN, is not even on radio on election night, and has been adopted by Fox News," the right wing propaganda machine. His style recalls the mob oratory of Hitler's minster of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels.

  • lol what has glenn beck ever done that was facist? Disagree with you? lol

  • If Zudi lives "every word of the quran" then why isn't he striking off the heads of unbelievers? bullshit. read the quran, glen beck, and understand that while zudi is well meaning, he is an idiot

  • Heatsketch, have you read the Bible? You might be surprised about all the violent verses you can find there.

  • yeah I have. I was raised Christian. yes, it's full of violence, but no verses tell Christians to go out and convert the entire world at the point of a sword. Jesus didn't lead a war of aggression against the civilized world like Muhammed did.

And this isn't about the bible. You changed the subject. The bible having violent verses doesn't change the fact that the quran as much WORSE and MORE SPECIFIC violent verses

  • The bible does tell you to kill unruly adolecents, and gays, and people who lie about thier virginity, so should I assume you've done that? Face it- all religions, especially all Abramic ones, and fundamentally the same and fundamentally wrong.

  • Yes, but you don't seem to understand the abrogation of the covenants and the new testament, and that Christians and Jews have had reformations. That's why you don't see Christians and Jews stoning people to death.

And no, you shouldn't assume I've done any of those things, because I'm not religious.

  • Jesus himself said that he would/has come with a sword, and calls christians to fight to spread thier religion. The Judaeo-Christian god had the Hebrews commit genocide, so, genocide is not necessarily morally wrong by god's standards. And even if christianity we're perfectly peaceful in and of it'-self it still inspires countless acts of cruelty and violence.

  • concerning genocide, you clearly dont understand the meaning of abrogation, or the significance of the different covenants the hebrews had with god. You actually have to study religion, rather than quoting verses from websites.

as for the sword verse, I will send you a link, for the explanation will not fit in youtube comments

make sure you actually read it

I am not defending christianity. It is a outdated, barbaric and false doctrine. That doesn't change the fact that your relativism is bogus.

  • Relivatism? Never. I'm not a relativist. I'm not defending a religon, I'm just attacking one one because of what I perceved you to defend. As for the Hebrews- yes I understand that the nation of Israel had a covenant, but, if it went how the bible said, it would still have been immoral, even if divinly sanctioned. And that is truly immoral isn't it? I don't care what god or society commands, I know what is moral, and it is dictated by sound reasoning, and self-evidence.

  • You are a relativist if you try and equate christianity and islam as no different.

We aren't debating the inherent morals of religion.

Yes judeochristian dogma is barbaric, yes hebrews committed genocide, or waged wars, with other peoples, yes god sanctioned much of this.

But it wasn't a thing to be continued for all ages. It was a "here and now" thing.

In Islam, it is the exact opposite. Holy war is for all time, and in islam the violent (medinian) verses abrogate the peaceful (meccan) ones.

  • I'm not saying that they're identical, I said that they are fundamentally the same. If what the bible says is true and what you say- "here and now", is also true that is even more relativistic. The idea that a certain time or place have different morals than another time or place, based on context is the definition of relativism. Even is both Christianity and Islam were both perfectly peaceful in orthodox scripture, the practices of thier followers would be/are both just as violent.

  • You are completely wrong. What I said was not relativistic.

The genocide in the bible was supposed to happen THEN. God told it to THOSE PEOPLE. God (according to the dogma of the bible) doesnt talk to people anymore. So he doesnt tell people to commit genocide anymore.

The hebrew commands to genocide were for THAT TIME and THAT PLACE

With Islam it is the EXACT OPPOSITE. Allah commanded that all muslims FOR ALL TIME carry on holy war against ALL UNBELIEVERS

  • "What I said was not relativistic.

The genocide in the bible was supposed to happen THEN. God told it to THOSE PEOPLE." Do you know what relitivism is? becaise that is EXACTLY it. A certain set of morals for one time and place, rather than concrete, universal morals. Islam is at least more consistant in it's (im)morals.

  • Once again, I am not debating whether or not the religions are inherently immoral or relativistic. I already said this, I don't know why I have to repeat it.

I am talking about what the dogmas specifically tell their followers to do. About your inaccurate relativism BETWEEN the two faiths.

It seems you aren't even denying that islam is inherently warlike and christianity isnt, you are praising islam for being more consistant.

That doesn't matter. They aren't the same. You are grasping at straws

  • I'm not praising Islam for being more consistant, I'm merely stating the fact that it is. Islam is not more inherently warlike than christianity, I didn't say that they are exactly the same, I don't see where you are getting this, they are indeed, however, fundamentally the same, which is different.

  • It is more inherently warlike than christianity, though.

Yes, not so long ago, christendom was warlike. The spanish inquisition, the torture and massacre of "heretics" (mostyl gnostics, jews, ec). Horrible acts were committed by the crusades, but they were defensive wars, not aggressive wars. The crusades were responding to 3 centuries of unchecked islamic aggression against christian lands, that reached as far north as france.

  • The crusades were offensive wars, and wars fostered by chirstianity. They were essentially started to increase the pope's power, and to enshure safe pilgrimage for christians in the holy land, which they felt they needed. The Reconquista, on the other hand was a defensive war, if by a bit of a strech, but still atrocious.

  • none of what you just said about the crusades is true.

  • On top of all that, none of the christian aggression I mentioned in my previous post is sanctioned or commanded by the bible (as I explained earlier)

Christendom may have been more warlike, because that's the way life was in the dark and middle ages. That doesn't mean that it is supported in the scripture

  • You say life was warlike in the dark and middle ages, what about in the poor, thrid world of the greater Arab populace? The fact is you don't see successful Islamic, arab docters, merchants, bussinessmen strapping bombs to themselves, it's almost complely the poor, marginalized, male, youth. Violence may be sanctioned in some parts of Islamic scripture, but the more prosperous muslemsaren't conforming to it, just as the less prosperous christians didn't conform to thier scripture.

  • What's that? You don't see successful and well off muslims planning and launching attacks?

the 19 9/11 hijackers were all well off, well educated, middle class men from saudi arabia (a rich country with a fairly lush standard of living if you disregard it's totalitarianism)

I'm going to send you a link that further discounts this notion that poverty causes terrorism. make sure you read it all. if you are still unconvinced, I'll send you more

  • actually as i have studied this exact issue in my scholastic endeavors...it turns out to be a misconception. most arab suicide bombers are middle class, post secondary education. a lot of them are students and men that feel strongly about what they believe. in fact, only a SMALL percentage of suicide bombers are poverty stricken. these numbers reflect samples from lebanon and "palestine."

  • @mrsamuels5 That's what Christopher Hitchens says as well!!

  • and once again, we aren't talking about the inherent morals of religions, we aren't talking about religions are relativistic within themselves (which they are). I am talking about the difference between the specific commands found within both faiths.

The bible does not contain one single command exhalting christians or jews to wage war on the world, for all time, until it is entirely christian or jewish. Not once.

It says that in the Quran several times, and many many more in the Sunnah.

  • This is why we find muslims killing non-muslims and muslims they consider to be "doin it wrong" EVERY SINGLE DAY, in ALL OVER THE PLANET.

Where do you see christians committing masses of terror attacks, in dozens of countries, every day? there are about 5 bil MORE christians than there are muslims, so we should be seeing MORE christian terror than muslim terror. yet we don't. We get a couple dozen abortion attacks. that's it. Don't say McVeigh, he was an athiest. Don't say Waco, that was a cult

  • 5 billion more christians? Really? There's 500 million more christians. Much more of them live in more socio-economo-politically stable nations. Historically, christiandom and the caliphate(s) have been equally warlike, in modern times, the difference in religous violencecan be attributed to other differences.

  • yeah sorry. saw that right after i posted it

it isn't "poverty" that is causing muslims to wage jihad.

it is implicit in the text.

if the warlike verses were preached in the bible, christians would still follow them regardless of their wealth. muslims certainly do. we have muslim doctors and scientists, and university students committing acts of religious warfare, we have groups in the united states, with much monies, committed to dissembling. most arab muslim nations are rich with petrodollars

  • It is poverty. We have a muslem in the House of Representatives, is he warlike? No. Is it a coincidence that suicide bombers are almost completly young, poor, marginalized, and male? No. Only the aristocracyis rich, the average Arab is poor. People like king Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud are not the average Arab. Nor is the adverage Arab an Islamic extremist.

  • zudi jasser is an idiot

  • Go ahead and put on a muslim that say "that's not what the quran says the quran preaches peace". But that muslim would be wrong. S/he would be either a fool who isn't familiar with their own holy dogma, or a liar.

  • Normally I hate this guy but he is so right here.

  • well, U got a way of complaining about everything don't ya?

  • Political Correctness will eventually kill us all. i hate to type this but Freedom of Speech is total bullshit unless we count political correctness, soft language, and talking about evolution, etcetera

  • It's a damn shame that truth is hard to find these days, you can thank corruption for that. Go Martin Burke and Glenn for putting this interview up.

  • Its comical to see any commercial tv news program bitch about pbs and censorship. Not sure I could be that hypocritical without blushing. But at least it was an interesting program.

  • Glenn Beck's program is by far one of the programs least censored on the air. No one disagreed with you on the fact that there is censorship of all kinds on all television programs, but this show is by far one of the best news programs I've seen.

  • Haven't really watched Glenn beck so I'll take your word for it! But all in all I hit tolerance limit with corporate news--Its not just the censorship its the lack of meaningful subject matter and the lack of real analysis. But I'll go ahead and watch him sometime, thanks for the heads up.

  • Yeah you really should, as he himself says he says a lot of stupid things on his programs and is the smoothest talker with people either, but he does often bring up a lot of good topics and shares some really good insight.

  • btw, watch Glenn's special on Islamic Radicalism, and see how much trouble he went through to get that on the air ;)

  • 8~0

I'll bet he did! It was actually a really good program, pleasantly surprised--so thanks :) I just wish they'd have an enlightenment already, and shift to secular governance having their faith and judicial systems overlap too that degree is just not working for them. if they are in fact a religion of peace than its time for the Islamic moderates to stand down the rest and make a point.

  • The Qur'an does preach peace. it doesn't however preach pacifism secularism or western values.

  • Yes it preaches the 'peaceful' ecstasy that Muslims get when they dominate and slaughter the unbelievers and infidels.

  • extremists kharijites are to blame for extremism. however the west is to blame for the ummah's problems. no doubt about it. you can't go around installing dictators and then say it's not our fault

  • just so you would know. moderate muslims means westernized muslims.

  • Yep, the same way "civilized" Indians and Africans, meant "christinized".

  • Read Londonistan the paperback. Gives the current situation in the UK which gave rise to the present situation and attacks happening even after the book was written. The UK has thrown a wide door open to Islam until any sign of traditional England will be gone at the end of this century.

  • I understand this video's and Glen Beck's statement. What PBS is doing by pulling that segment is censoring the truth. They don't want you to know the truth. Or How about CAIRtv on Youtube blocking all comments to their videos. Same thing. Censorship. Squash free speech and discussion. Control. A doccumentary not to long ago on 9/11 had a portion of its film removed under pressure by ?? for the same reason.

  • HAS THIS WORLD GONE MAD! We used to have freedom. This includes radio and tv used to have standards, and real investigative news. Everything now is all entertaing propaganda in a News like format? This is evil and killing us. Please people start reading again! Educate your friends before it to late! Israel,SudiArabia,China,WorldBank are Americas owners. Demand RonPaul2008 or the USA will become the new NAU... WAKE-UP (infowars-d-com)

  • I left the wrong web site...it's freethefilm net

  • Why should you continue an unproductive (us vs. them) debate whether muslim extremism is based in liberal bias or counter terrorist propaganda. Extremism, of any religious doctrine can lead to fanaticism and inhumane actions. Reason and moderation should be the topics of this discussion.

  • because, dummie, it is not "any religious doctrine" that is blowing people up ... it is islamist extremists ... your political correctness is really dangerous and nauseating.

  • we all know that the christian right supports and even pushed the us towards war with iraq. and we all know that the fanatical israel lobby who seeks holy war and forced conversions of iraqis want war with iran. and we all know that there are scores of jewish terrorist organizations in israel and hindu terrorist organizations that organize and comitt acts of terror against christians and muslims alike.

  • I know some people relized that youtube is deleting all anime shows. pisoga(.)com is a website that has a lot of anime/movies that you can watch for free. Seriously. For free.

Pisoga(.)com the best anime/movies stream site.

  • Somehow, it's become vogue to slander Christians, but it's "bigoted" to criticize Islam.

  • i don't think that's the thing to do considering the times situation world events and pint up rage against muslims. it's like the nazis being upset for being ostrisized by preaching hate blacks asians and jews

  • don't forget about timothy mcveigh

  • that's because it usually involves the words towel head rag head goat fucker or terrorist death cult

  • PBS should lose their FCC licence

  • We must be in Bizzarro World! While the producer seems to have gone to great lengths to offer a balance (The Toronto Star is a Lib-Left rag), the Leftist Media is working against exposing the truth Lunacy!

  • There are people, Americans, who hat ethe foundations of their country so much, they will side with anyone who is out to destroy those foundations

  • Political agenda is right...but NOT the Islamists! PBS and Bill Moyers have the political agenda, and it's to keep everyone convinced that WE were at fault for the beheadings and bombings and mass murders. God forbid something comes down the road that shows otherwise, so they cook up some BS story about this being beneath their standards. What standards?!

  • Don't blame PBS or Moyers. Blame CPB. Ever since Bush came to power its Board has been stacked with conservatives who would like us to only see the dark side of Islam. I understand that many local public television stations will be airing the documentary despite CPB. Check with your local station.

  • The media just doesn't get it - they ignore/ally with the jihadis that want to destroy this nation. People need to be pissed off and active if we want to save our nation from these death cultists.
