that would create a lot of shock on the NXT brick and smash its circuit board to pieces wouldn't it+THAT THING LOOKED SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool when it was just ramdomly driving aroung smashing fullpelt into the wall
In the bottom sequence, where it tests if the motors have turned < 90 degrees in 0.25 seconds, you could experiment with changing the 90s to something more. However, with no gearing you will probably have problems with the wheels just slipping instead of stalling, because there is so much torque.
I'm not sure about battery usage on stalling vs. not. I wonder if the NXT's motor protection circuits will prevent large amounts of power being used during a stall... In any case, I'm sure this bot uses a lot of battery no matter what, with all the full power driving, and sudden changes in motor directions!
You are a monster. You should have made eyes to that little body XP.

I have an non-geared robot that are using this program.
Can i make the motors more sensitive to braking of the speed?

Doesnt it take a lot of damage when crashing in the wall?
Carbon1700 3 years ago
The design has soft rubber pieces in front to try to take most of the shock off. And the parts seem pretty sturdy, I haven't seen any damage yet...

I like this one - Mainly because the way it detects hitting the wall by checking for stalls in the motor (using the built in rotation sensor).
Well done, Dave!
P.S. Just curious - do you find it use up the charge on your battery faster, with all the stalling?
