  • amc made the hudson horntet?

  • since all the 70's chevys are still on the road... what a maroon

  • "its a ford."

Thats why its in the Junk yard.

  • The checker Marathon is a 1972........being a Marathon, 1972 was the only year that the marathon had the taxi dash and the 5 gauges. also this car has the fairly rare quarter window delete feature.

  • I could spend a lifetime wandering old salvage yards looking at these patina'd beauties of yesteryear. Olds Cool!!!! :) Theres one in South Beloit, IL, its a tiny little place, called A&B, and hes got some really great relics there too....a 65ish Stang with a tree growing out of the engine compartment, and the alternator pulley is embedded into the tree! And this tree has got to be like at least 30 years old! Goota love it!

  • look at the first car they look in to it looks like there a face there

  • Citroen DS was introduced in 1955...watch wheeler dealers on youtube and see them restore some great cars :)

  • great upload - thanks

  • THAT looks like my grandmas house she has thousands of cars from my grandpa and my great uncle

  • Yes... I remember,,,

Folks coming by for a part and breaking every thing along the way...[ and sometimes the part itself] to get to what they needed.

My husband and I definitely saw lots of muddy days part hunting-

Lots to be found...from state to state.

    Thanks for posting this...

  • The Hudson is a 1955, with a Packard V8, as AMC didn't have their own V8 yet.

The Checker Marathon is most likely a 1970-1973 model. From 1974 on, they had the ugly federal bumpers. The Marathon was their "civilian" model.

The bus at the end is a Flxible (yes it's spelled correctly) Visicoach.

  • @ramblerclassic400 Cool! Thanks for the info!

  • @VespineVid2 That hudson is worth alot of cash!

  • so sad...

  • Late 30's school bus with a flathead v8

  • next time bring some starter fluid and a battery see what you can bring back to life

  • hahaha flat head 4cyl. clearly a flat head v8

  • @smokey756 It can't be both a flat head and a v8 at the same time, those were two different style engines

  • @dj63010 have you ever heard of a flat head V8 ?????? a flat HEAD is a style of HEAD they put them on 4cyl and on inline 6cyl as well as v8. so im pretty sure you are mistaken

  • A 1970/1971 Ford Thunderbird Sportback Edition. That body style was only made over those two years. It was the last Thunderbird with 429Thunderjet 360HP engine.

  • wow imagine riding or driving in one of these!

  • At 3:19 you know how very very Rare that checker Cab is. From 1922 too 1960 are only 15 know too exsits they were build very well thats why its still solid most were driven into the ground and 99% of them were scrapped and crushed now that one is worth buying too restore.

  • @1968DodgePolara There are wayyyyyyyy more checker cabs than that. Still worth saving though. I love this junkyard, it's not far from my house. The owner is really awesome, if you tell him you just want to look around he'll let you .

  • A Thunderbird, not sure of the year.

  • looks like a gran torino

  • I love that place! I go there all the time and just look around. A bunch of it flooded last year making it hard to look at everything.

  • That checker marathon could be ssaved as long as the frame is good. Checkers were a tough car. shame to see one just sitting there forgotten.

  • nice vid i would have had a feild day there

  • The '49 Kaiser is the best one and they spent no time on it!

  • In feference to my previous comment... Hey, I am not that old. :)
