@granatasaurus I don't know, but if I was in the same predicament I would start by typing into google something like "roxio slow motion tutorial" - if indeed the software would support it. Otherwise, just get after effects.

@skawah15 it does if you use time remapping in after effects, which is what I used for the forward roll... however the shot where I'm walking towards the camera is plain 60fps slowed down to 24fps, that's how slow motion looks on this camera!

the camera shoots at 30fps (29.97) naturally, so I always convert down to 24 in post with all my videos because I love the "film look". Quite easy to do in programs like Adobe Premiere Pro.

yes you can shoot pictures. u cant turn it into to slowmo on the cam, just shoot in 60p then slow down on computer. And I use after effects for any kind of special effect, it has a feature which means i can get uber slow mo, it merges frames. example is the commando roll in this vid. very cool.

Love the song, love the artist! Bought this Zi6 to replace my Flip Ultra... I'm not too terribly happy with the quality, however only in low light... I much prefer the Flip mic over the Zi6... However, massive upgradeable storage, macro mode, lightweight and easy to use and cheap is very nice... Good video!

Did you have any problem when editing your video?I'm trying to edit mines in Final Cut Pro but I'm having some big problems, the video is always very slow and Final Cut gets lots of errors.

I'm thinking of compressing my videos to some other format for the editing thing.

What do you think? Do you have any tips? :)

I've personally never used final cut pro, but i wouldn't think there would be any problems as 1) its for apple macs. 2)the Zi6 records to MOV which is the apple video format. Best advice would be to google something like "kodak zi6 final cut pro problem".

The only other thing i could think that would cause a problem is a dodgy copy of final cut pro.

theres a lot of things which contribute to it looking pro. I analyze films all the time and work out how they looks so cool and that's my advice to you.

more to the point, 24 fps gives it the "film feel", the letterbox (which if i remember for this one is 2.35:1), and also making the blacks black and whites white - so play with curves - a nice S curve is often tasty. then stick a tint. but the key is to be artistic about it and use filters with taste. hah essay, hope that helped buddy!

There's no filter to make something look professional, all videos are different so no single effect could have the desired effect every time.

The professional look, is acquired with professional methods. It's not one effect that makes something look professional, it's knowing when, and how, to use the standard effects to achieve a professional look.

It seems that if u get the right lighting and angles some of the clips look real professional..... like the beginning in macro mode, 0:40, and when u came out in slow-mo this camera shits on the Flip

it certainly does take a royally massive steamy turd all over the flip lol. Can't go wrong for £115. Btw the 0:40 clip i also use in another one of my videos called "the day it happend", you should check it out. Did some special effects with it lol.

I learnt everything I know with after effects from videocopilot, example would be the text at the start, I tracked motion and attached it's data to a null object, then I parented the text to the null object. simple, the blurring is easy.

generally I tend to desaturate the image abit and then create more contrast by either making an S shape on curves or bringing the levels together a bit more. then I'll probably add a photo filter of some sort. FYI I didnt most of the effects in After Effects. I only use vegas for cutting and editing the clips together. :D
