Actually, I'd say that it's precisely the low pitch of your voice and your accent which make the song fresh, interesting, and authentic. Blues is all about expressing emotional sincerity--for that reason you should always sound like yourself and not like you're imitating someone else. Great performance. I bet you'd sound amazing singing "Smokestack Lightning."
Don't mind the purists, the best thing that could've happened to jazz/blues is for it to be appropriated by European and Oriental performers. The reinterpretation of existing material is what allows musical innovation, it's all just a matter of letting your baby get away from you to see where it goes on its own.

It was the Brits that put Blues back on the map in the 60s. To the harp player here.

Oh man - I've never quite heard such a curious voice as yours. Keep up the good work and it will pay off. You have the gift of a voice for the blues. I'm a harp player and I'd work with a voice like that any day.

i think your brilliant you can tell your playing on all your videos and you move to the right god dam holes, i don't think people check what your movements are where as im self teaching myself and i look closely at everyones tech's so i can prosper and hopefully one day be as ace. can or have you played and sonny terry ? im finding it hard to pick up on his ways at chugging. many thanks for the videos hun

christellester....Your harp skills are STELLAR! I know that your French, do you also speak English fluently? The reason i ask is that your accent sounds a little too rigid and proper...A little "American southern slang" and "blues" go together like corn bread and fried chicken! Is this really your real voice? I do not believe a second ... I am a singer! and I have observed your movements with your mouth and you do not follow at all and more, so you glue the microphone over your mouth to camouffler that it's not you singing really .... if you want to draw attention to this by my dear, you are very you better find another way!

You DO sound almost like a guy! I thought you were lip syncing(however that's spelled), but please believe when I say, I REALLY liked it! lol! I bet Janis Joplin heard similar comments early on. . . Having been what you French refer to as a southern redneck all of my life, listening to a SBW song with a French accent is quite amusing. Very good, but still makes me smile. You should move to Louisiana for a while. You'd be a hit in New Orleans.
