Danach wurden die Mig's von deren Luftwaffe noch bis in die späten 90'er geflogen - bis ihnen die Ersatzteile ausgingen. Seinerzeit bedeutend gefährlicher als Tornado, Phantom oder Alpha-jet.

We trained a lot with the Bundeswehr, even the French, etc. At that time the T-55's and T-62's were outclassed by most NATO tanks, but there were a lot of them and they were decent tanks for that time. T-10M's were impressive.
Kennedy and Kruschev als defused the Cuban Missile Crisis - Soviets withdrew their missiles from Cuba and we withdrew our missiles from Turkey. Same today - NATO and the USA do not wish to attack Russia and visa versa. Problems exist but they will be peacefully and beneficially solved.

Am Montagmorgen wäre ausser nuklearer Asche von Europa nichts mehr uebrig und der Himmel mit nuklearen Staubwinter verdunkelt! Der Warschauer Pakt war quantitativ im Vorteil, aber fast alle Waffennsysteme aus der UdSSR (und Vasallen) litten unter minderer Qualität und schlechteren Rechnern.

SerbViking was talking about that yugoslavian war in 1998/99. They shout down a F-117 Nighthawk "stealth-bomber" with a custom anti-air missile. And the NATO destoyed mostly Tank-dummies in Kosovo. Das waren hauptsächlich Waffen des ehm. Warschauer Paktes-also gut und gerne 20 Jahre alt. Insgesamt dürfte Saddam ungefähr 300 Flugzeuge ( Mig 21,Mig, 23, Mig 25, Mig-29 und Mirage F-1) gehabt haben die in sehr schlechtem Zustand waren) Gegen rund 500 moderne Ami-jets...

Nach der westdeutschen Übernahme könnte die Bundeswehr es gar nicht erwarten, die Dinger in die Finger zu kriegen. Danach wurden die Mig's von deren Luftwaffe noch bis in die späten 90'er geflogen - bis ihnen die Ersatzteile ausgingen. Seinerzeit bedeutend gefährlicher als Tornado, Phantom oder Alpha-jet.

@benutzer29915022 Es geht hier um die Schlagkraft des Warschauer Paktes, und nicht darum wie Araber mit veraltetem Kriegsgerät rumgefahren sind, denn meines Wissens waren im 6-Tagekrieg sogar noch t-34 unterwegs. Die Erfahrung/Ausbildung einer Panzerbesatzung spielt da ebenfalls eine große Rolle - denn Jordanien hatte in diesem Krieg ebenfalls den Centurion und hatte riesige Verluste. Du wärst auch kein Michael Schuhmacher, wenn ich Dich in einen Formel1 Wagen setzen würde.

@I16RATA Das ist ein gutes Argument. Die Ausbildung in Russland denke ich ist auch heute noch, besser, als z.B. bei der BW. Das liegt primär daran, dass die BW bis jetzt auch nur eine Defensivarmee war, die den Gedanken Buerger in Uniform statt soldaten pflegte.

Gewiss technisch überlegen - aber gegen Russen und Amis dennoch unfähig die Lufthoheit zu erringen. Eine Raptor hat da ähnliche aussichten gegen 12 MIG-29 "Fulcrum".

Egalm wessen Armee einen "warmen" Konflikt verloren hätte, der Verlierer hätte ganz einfach einen "heissen" Krieg daraus gemacht und alles Leben im nuklearem Feuer abgekocht. Klar, waren die Armee im Sovietregime "besser" und einsatzbereiter (sowas wie Zivi wird´s dawohl auch nicht gegeben haben). I remember when the Bundeswehr recieved its first Leopard I's. they were good tanks. We trained a lot with the Bundeswehr, even the French, etc. At that time the T-55's and T-62's were outclassed by most NATO tanks, but there were a lot of them and they were decent tanks for that time. T-10M's were impressive.

Kennedy and Kruschev als defused the Cuban Missile Crisis - Soviets withdrew their missiles from Cuba and we withdrew our missiles from Turkey. Same today - NATO and the USA do not wish to attack Russia and visa versa. Problems exist but they will be peacefully and beneficially solved.

The Korean War, Vietnam, the War in Angola, etc. were the result of Cold War politics of all sides during that time. If the Soviets or NATO had truly desired to start a major war by attacking each other it would have occurred, and thankfully it didn't.

No, this is you stuppid. This helmet was invented in nazi reich in 1945 but germans had no time to begin its production. DDR army did it. This helmet is advanced model of Wermacht helmet.

Ein wenig Nostalgie ist schön, aber man sollte bei der Wahrheit bleiben. War in der Wendezeit Offiziersschüler NVA, habe Oktober 89 mit zwei vollen Magazinen am warmgelaufenen W50 gestanden, um mit tausenden Kameraden die "Konterrevolution" niederzuschlagen.. Hätten auf Befehl ein Blutbad angerichtet. Danke Gott, dass es nicht soweit gekommen ist. Hätten wir die DDR noch, könnte kein Ossi hier posten, weil es weder PCs noch genug Telefonanschlüsse gab!

It looks like they had to use russian hardware,they army of the west had better equipment,leopard tanks and so on,and i still say those helmets look stupid,i dont think hitler would have let his army wear them,he had more sence than that,the ww2 helmets look like they would protect more of the head

yes that is true they where prototypes and they where shown to hitler and he rejected them for use by the wehrmacht,the army wanted them because they where cheaper and easier to make than m42 helmets,might be a good design but its strange that only east german army chose to use them after the war,and it looks that like a modified kevlar version of the old m42 design is been used by many armies today

Those helmets were designed during the last days of WW2 and wer set to replace the old design.
The weapons are are of Soviet design but the uniforms and web gear is all East German design.

Odtdeutschland wurde nie zerstört, man kann stolz sein aus Ostdeutschland zu kommen...westdeutschland wurde viel mehr zerstört...die wenigen deutschen die es da noch gibt haben keinen funken ehre mehr im leib, die schämen sich ja schon dafür deutsche zu sein...und wer sich nicht schämt der wird als nazi beschimpft...Ostdeutschland, DDR, NVA...das waren die letzten "echten" deutschen...
