I agree with grahamf19. This isn't a touch on the original tv series although is closer to the book script wise. The tv series has all the feel and wonder of the book/s and almost takes you in to the very pages. The casting and portrayal of the characters is faultless. I have read the books on countless occasions and spent time in the area's mentioned in the book and it really is superb.

A real must see for all Durrell fans.
