The new executive Producer, Steven Moffat also said that he was not keen to reintroduce old monsters from the show, (especially the Daleks) but introduce new ones. An inspired idea, as long as he brings back a few of the oldies: the Sea Devils, the Silurians, the Yeti and the Ice Warriors and I'll be happy!

Yes, I agree with you entirely. But that doesn't mean they have to be overused by appearing EVERY single Series! Personally, I hope that Moffat takes a break from them and at least makes them absent from Series 5.

True. But hey, RTD lied many times about the Daleks and the Master not appearing, so it doesn't really matter if SM hides the truth from the public sometimes. And I recently found out about the return of the Daleks in a WW2 historical story in Series 5. It's set on an Army base and rumoured that Daleks are 'helping' the Brits win the War against the Nazis. A sound clip of MS' voice from the episode's filming was also recorded and MS was really getting into it and you wouldn't guess it was him!
This Dalek is grey in colour, probably to fit the Wartime theme. There may just be one Dalek. And yeah, it's actually quite understandable that SM couldn't resist bringing them back just once. I mean come on if you were the Producer, could you resist having just ONE Dalek story? But I think he'll put an interesting spin on it. Fortunately, Nick Briggs is back as the voice of the Daleks (he was spotted with a Microphone on set) ! Ah well, at least the Daleks are taking a break this year! :)

yes, outdoor filming finished a few weeks back, so indoor filming should be over now too. It was filmed earlier then usual (I think) because of David's performances for Hamlet. Next years specials are set to film early next year, or around Xmas this year but I don't think anyone's too sure yet.

i heard something about davros punching a hole in the universe to get out the daleks trapped in the void and that causes rose's world to collapse and send everything that shouldn't be there back were it came from. i.e Earth

It's going to be interesting to see how they explain Davros being back in the old half Dalek, half motorised scooter thing. In Remembrance Of The Daleks, he only had a head left!!!

yes, outdoor filming finished a few weeks back, so indoor filming should be over now too. It was filmed earlier then usual (I think) because of David's performances for Hamlet. Next years specials are set to film early next year, or around Xmas this year but I don't think anyone's too sure yet.

I can't wait for this! dr who is V best show ever. it's sad that theres only 3 specials in 2009 and no series 5 till 2010. at least we've got the rest of this series and the cybermen xmas special. can't wait for the Daleks, Davros(prob)and rose returning. s4 best series yet!

The blue thing is his third eye. Google Image Davros and every (official) image should have a blue eye on his fourhead, the blue eye was originally unique to him, until the new series where daleks have blue eyestalks.

this be me being stupid but its just something i saw dont no why it would mean something but when you see davros at 0.48 in the top right hand corner of the screen you can see a small little blue light and i thought it looked a lot like the 1 davros has in his head.

They dont want Tennant (who was starting to hit the big screen (harry potter)) to get Bored and want to go elsewhere with his career (at least not yet) so theyre taking a break rather than pumping out a new series every year to let him go off and try new projects etc with a role ready and waiting for him when they decide to resume.
Ive also heard talk of a Dr Who movie being written....
Plus we still have Torchwood and unless she gets properly killed off this time, Jenny could get a spinoff

Consider that he's just met a woman claiming to have known him for years. Him being noticably younger than shes ever seen him. It wouldnt make much sense now if he changes and regenerates etc.
The only viable option would be to have him end a series (or a special) without a companion, then restart with a new one (explaining that hed met Dr Song etc and done all that in between)

You can tell its davros because the dalek base is different, they've covered him in shadows and you can see his blue eye.

the daleks will always survive there a classic (or so i'm told) i think they may come from a different universe perhaps the one rose was left in by the doctor. and that woman seemed to know donna so maybe she is donna or sumin doubt it put in doctor who everything is possible

I think that Donna died, the way that woman talked about her, when she said her name... As well as that, I think it's obvious that the woman isn't just going to be a normal companion of the Doctor's, she's too important.

yeh maybe also she was sort of like "The Donna" like the doctor talked about her quite alot but he doesn't know her. also i think thats how she realises that the doctor doesn't know her yet because donna is still alive (she didn't recognise him at first so that may mean that he regenerates before he meets her(the doctors 2nd time of meeting her but her 1st)

donna gets taken buy the shadows and turned into a statue and but just a part of her she still alive but shes put with rose tyler 2 find the doctor 1s again the woman with the sonic screwdriver is the doctors wife in the future the daleks are back after this episode part 1 theres 3 parts of this episode the daleks are sent back from a secret daleks base in the stars and the darkness is air parranahs wich the daleks made and the daleks are in the library
