  • Epic song!!! I'm amazed.......but.... TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLLO LLOLOL OLOLOLOL

  • OVERLOADING.... TOO.... MUCH.... EPICNESS

  • He isn't a tenor, wtf. He is bass-bariton.

  • this is so gay... so so so bloody gay and I lolled. love the band, though

  • i'm physically crying, this is SO BEAUTIFUL!

  • Sir Christopher may be singing the "Tenor"'s part - but, he's singing it in his indomitable baritone!! Thanks for posting this!!!

  • missing brother pavarotti :)

  • Did anyone else than me think that it looked like Weird Al Yankovic?

  • you've chosen de painful way

  • If there's a God, he'd better sound a LOT like Sir Christopher or I'm going to be SEVERELY disappointed in Him.

  • 3:20 Christopher Lee owns Pavarotti.

  • @janroucax

Even if the note is high (if we compare it to his usual voice), it's a bass-baritone's one =)

Pavarotti is a tenor, Christopher Lee is a basso profondo, the deepest and lowest man's voice.

A very rare tone of voice, as the contralto's for women.

  • looks like hes singing with tommy wiesau

  • He should so make "Dracula: The Opera Musical"

  • The other guy just ruins this for me.

  • greaaat song. Christopher Lee is the best.

  • He sings bass,

  • The singer of Rhapsody ruined Christopher Lee's singing with his gay voice.

  • @blasty137 Yeah.

  • Christopher Lee is really just too goddamn amazing in so many ways.

  • What a voice!

The man is awesome in every way :)

  • @froggy9191 exact same words came to my voice when it broke in and over me... "what a voice!!"

  • @Zen0Ph0bus err my mind.. ahah

  • Chirsopher Lee sings at about Baritone-bass...but when he strains (and he does in this song) he reaches Tenor.

  • Christopher Lee has a wonderful bass baritone voice!!!

  • This man has presence. I have never heard him sing before. So it was a surprise to me when he opened up. Thats what you get for being dumb enough to leave the volume up. This is awesome

  • man, Christopher Lee is hardcore.

  • Wow Saurmans voice will indeed put a spell on you!!! Great!

  • For those of you who don't know Fabio Lione is encrypted for Thor the God of Thunder.. Who better to sing a duet with Saurman?

  • @underworldisis lol! I didn't know that, that's soo cool and weird lol!

  • Lee kicks the other guy's ass into the previous millenium !

  • Okay, kids. Sir Christopher is singing BASS here, not tenor, and seeing that he's at least 80 he's doing it damn well, don'tcha think?

  • I have Goose bumps

  • No way is Lee singing *tenor* here! The guy with the hair is a tenor, Lee is a baritone. And awesome!

  • Lee- whot the voice ! I love it and my Daracula too !

  • Is there nothing Christopher Lee can't do?

  • Lee truly knows how to use THE FORCE! a Middle-earth Sith!

  • Baritone opera is my favorite music! Can anyone tell me the names of some of the world's most prominent baritones? (Christopher is brilliant, but I want more!)

  • Bryn Terfel, a welsh bass-baritone singer.

Also Rhydian Roberts who is a dramatic baritone however I've yet to hear him sing a true opera song, he has the voice. Anthony Warlow, another dramatic baritone singer who is also a musical theatre performer.

    I hope that helps

  • Seriously, what can't he fucking do. I'm gonna guess make water into wine, so that places him somewhere below Jesus and Chuck Norris.

  • @blackshade9

Yeah, but Chrisopher Lee has something on Chuck Norris. Christopher Lee fought both Nazis and Communists. In real life. He fought the Soviet Union alongside Finland during the Winter War and was involved in British Special Forces during World War II. Even Chuck Norris can't beat that.

  • Touche, my friend. Touche.

  • We need C. Lee facts.

And they need to be more stylish than Norris's ones.

  • @Mrx2848 And don't forget he sings, he was a soldier, he is a historian, and expert on the occult, and has acted in 266 films and counting. Christopher Lee is the Lord of the World hehe. He has done everything imaginable.

  • @GrandLordBaradar DON'T FORGET HIS ALBUM CHARLEMAGNE ITS AWESOME MAN I REALLY LIKE IT OH, YES AND HE IS RELATTED THE CHARLEMAGNE AND I THNK FREDERICK BARBAROSA OR A LEAST HE WORE HE'S COAT AND SWORD FOR THE ALBUM COVER HEHE ;)

  • @blackshade9

Yep, if I remember right, he did better things than turn water to wine... just watch Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Episode 2. So that places somewhere above the first one you mentioned!

Christopher Lee has inspired billions of people worldwide and he's still alive, Jesus could not inspire even a milion, think now! He became great a few centuries later.

  • Christopher Lee is the man!

    Coolest voice in the universe.

  • 0:43

  • Holy hell. All the awesome points Christopher Lee lost by being associated with the Star Wars prequels? He's just regained them in my eyes, and then some.

Pity he isn't the only one singing here, though. The other guy isn't bad, but their voices totally don't work together. Maybe they could have alternated, but definitely shouldn't have sang at the same time. Especially near the end; the instrumental ends up being too loud as well and drowns them both out. :(

  • Namecalling over the Internet, how brave and mature.

  • first singer looks like weird al

  • I know this is gonna piss off a lot of people, but this kind reminds me of Total Eclipse of the Heart.

  • he's definitely not singing tenor.

Oh, and is this a joke? Or is it a real band?

  • It's not a joke, It's a real band called Rhapsody and yes, He's not tenor I think He's something like Bass-Baritone.

  • "Bass-baritone"?! Check out some of his other works, and you will start thinking of him as one hell of a basso! Check out "the return of captain invicible, name your poison" here on youtube. Talk about volume!

  • Christopher Lee for double president

  • I've got two questions that I would be very, very thankful if someone could answer me:

1: If you want to be a baritone singer, could you start off as late as in your late teens / early 20s if you don't have any experience of it since earlier?

2: Is it possible to master several as different singing styles as rock and opera? Could you sing like Christopher did in this video and at the same time be a good rock singer?

  • @Kotlettbengt, #1. IDK. #2. Two words... Meat Loaf.

  • 1: Yes

    2: Yes

  • Okey, thanks!

  • I'm no vocal teacher but, I could give you what I now so far about singing. Naturally, your voice is what it is. I started singing in my late teens and i am a tenor. I don't think you can choose your voice type. I might be wrong. I guess it is better to start singing as a teen because your voice is more developed than in comparison to when you are younger. Then again, there are those who have been singing all their lives who sound brilliant.

  • sorry I ran out of room. As for having a voice that covers many genres, yeah, that is totally possible. I see artists do it all the time.

  • Thank you, it really gives me hope! Talking genres, are you referring to different styles in opera or do you mean that it is possible to be a baritone and in the same time be a rock singer?

  • Well yes. It really doesn't matter on your voice type ( counter tenor, tenor, baritone, bass). Just don't force yourself to sing like a baritone or bass when you are a tenor and vice versa. I took lessons, which are always a good place to start. I was not too pleased that I didn't have a baritone voice but I discovered that your voice, once it is developed, can reach different ranges. So if you are a beginner, I would focus on developing your voice. I'm glad I could help.

  • Many mens voices darken as they approach their mid twenties also

  • Christopher Lee is totaly better than Gregory Peck was

  • Yup, that's very much a baritone part.

  • Lucas turilli has such fuckin UGLY hair haha

  • Simple beautiful!

  • It gave me chills! Bravo Lee!

  • Actually, Christopher Lee is NOT singing tenor, as it says in the descritpion. At best, he hits the baritone range, but he's a bass.

  • Definitely. He has to strain even to hit the baritone notes.

  • This is really a masterpiece... Awesome!!!

  • lee is the best villain ever! dracula, sarumon, dooku, he kicks ass

  • Francisco Scaramanga

  • Dr. Midnight

  • Saruman not Sarumon. Btw I agree completely. :)

  • @HoMeRZM oh, tolkien and his weird names, lol

  • @Runningtail you forgot magneto from x men :)

  • @raginmund85 thats ian mckellen (gandalf), not lee

  • count duku!!!!!!!

  • Amazing.. I first thought he was the longhaired guy xD. I was like: wtf.. But anyway. Beautiful!

  • HOLY GODS! O.O

His voice is... wow... beyond wonderful...

    Gods...

  • He is not singing Tenor FFS :P He is singing Ultra Bass :P

  • In fact he's rather between, tenor, bass and counter-tenor (not sure it is said that way in english sry ^^')

  • I hope he lives a VERY long life, or as one of his earlier movies "the man who cheated death" cause lets face it he is amazing!

  • This gives me chills! Wonderful stuff, and Christopher Lee's voice is absolutely perfect for this song.

  • Notable =)

  • I Read Lee's autobiography on holiday, very interesting guy - well worth the read, only £3 in bargain books.

  • muy buen video!! Rhapsody es lo mas y Christopher lee es un zarpado canta genial!!!

  • Christopher Lee in fact also sang in opera. I myself don't know any other actor with such a ... great ... voice. To listen him singing or speaking is like an adventure.

By the way: Of course Christopher Lee is no d**nd Tenor, don't you hear? This man is at least bariton, but I suppose in fact he's bass-bariton or a real bass. With this voice, you could even sing Sarastro... (-:

  • Word! At least someone knows what he is talking about!

  • No wonder, his complete name is Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, last heir of the marquises of Sarzano. His grand mother was Marie Carandini, a famous Soprano.

  • I do believe Christopher Lee is singing baritone and Fabio Lione is tenor.

  • bass... chrisopher lee is not a baritone, but a bass.

  • Haha lol :P

  • This is magical... I love it so much!! I favorited! Christopher Lee has an amazing voice and so does the other guy who sings with him, it is a wonderful duo... OMG, I love all about this song and video, 5 stars!:D

  • hermosa esta cancion

  • one of the most amazing video's i have ever seen ......

u pawn all with ur wonderful voice mr lee

    simply amazing !!!!!!!!!!

  • its wonderful song, full with power and melodie, great.

  • It's still a typical fantasy story, filled with weird terms and semi-mystical names. But you're right 'bout the power and melody.

  • Why dont u clean ur asshole with "Him", omg?

  • That should of said my heart belongs to "HIM";meaning the band HIM & Ville Valo!

    LUV:Darkroses4him

  • I don't know how Christopher Lee got involved with Rhapsody, but he's absolutely magnificent! My favorite actor is a man of many talents! This is Landon Forbes signing off.

  • Gänsehaut pur - große Klasse

  • AWSOME WOICE!! IT MAKES ME JUMPING!

  • this is NOT a tenor. Basso, yes.

  • the long-haired man is singins falsetto, or he is a genuine alto (male singing with a typical female tone)

  • He tends to hit that pitch a lot, so I'm suspecting it's his natural range.

  • Saruman OWNS

  • Saruman The Tenor!!!

    awesome.

    Love rhapsody so much

  • t'is no tenor, t'is a basso profundo !

  • LOTRpunk, here's some advice that is quoted from Ron White "Next time you have a thought, let it go."

  • he looks like hippie doesn't mean that the man is a hippie. He LOOKS like a hippie

  • I remember when in lord of the rings he was chanting/singing at the fellowship. he was bringing down the mountian and i thought... what a nice voice... i wonder if it is his.... i was not disapointed.. a very great song and band

  • SARUMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy shit, coolest shit ever made, this shit is good, thumbs up.

  • The great Christopher Lee is a true Istari! He may be at a wise 85 but has many healthy years ahead of him. HE IS AGELESS!!!

  • it's fantastic o.o

  • Grand Discovery,It Is

  • whoever agrees with you is crap and has no taste in music.

This song is anything but crap. simple as that

  • this is AMAZING!!!!!! but he is singing bass not tenor.....

  • omg!!!!!! i love it!

  • How can you NOT love Christopher Lee?

  • christopher lee is a classically trained vocallist and this song is awesome , i love rhapsody

  • Holy Shit!

  • Oh..... My.... God.... My respect for this man just skyrocketed. He's an awesome actor, and HE CAN SING!!! He has a wonderful voice too... With a lot of feeling. I'm gonna go listen to this again...

  • WHAT AWSOME VOICE LEE HAS!!!!!!!

  • grandissimi!!!

  • Christopher Lee rocks! WOW!

  • CL is amazing.

  • Lee is just plain excellent

  • God, I love Lee's voice! You can tell it comes naturally for him 'cause his voice is pretty much the same when he speaks. Beautiful voice!

  • I love christopher lee. Purely amazing. Can't believe he's 85! And still, his voice! WOW!

Oh and his acting is the best!

  • I had no idea this man could sing... he is fantastic actor too. :)

  • In fact, he's not a tenor. He is a bass or a bass-baritone. Greetings.

  • I Love this version! Anyone know where I can get a copy of this CD single?

  • You can get this song off "Symphony of Enchanted Lands II" by Rhapsody. But this one with Christopher Lee I'm not too sure, try Limewire or something.

  • At his age to sing like that makes him very gifted. And I've seen him sing when younger he has a great voice it's just that when you get older your voice loses what it had when you were younger.

  • heh awsome :Jumps him on stage: Yes I am CL fan girl!

  • Voice of a wizard himself.

  • Lol, I can imagine him breaking into song infront of Yoda, episode 2,

  • MAN, Christopher Lee can sing! And he's very very tall....Poor Fabio. I'd feel intimidated if I were him.

  • the true face and voice of the Sith, Count Dooku for real. Anyone remember the movie "Mio and The Land of Far Away" with Chris Lee and a very young CHristian Bale? Lee played the villian... go figure

  • A true gentleman,erudite;courteous-with a distinguished warrior past-and the artistic passion rooted in classic theatrical, musical, and poetical genres.I would love to shake hands with such an admirable fellow.

  • it is amazing; itis miraculous; i discover CL voice ONLY tonight june 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He "studied" Opera singing, my friend. There cant be any argues about being an "amateur". He just never started a carrier.

  • That change in Timbre isnt a "LACK", ridiculous.

Thats just the right way to use his mask. Old school yeah, i wish that today Opera singers would get such a school. He would be a great Sarastro.

Even, he didnt sing regular, so, his "old" school is maybe better than urs, specifying in registers.

  • he have a great vioce but his german vioce i find so great, its amazing the german song are here:

    watch?v=m94VJz8BJp4

  • Count Dooku lol

  • As a tenor, very good! For metal stuff his voice is something good! Keep up the good work man!!!

  • he is truly the EPITOME what a REAL celebrity is! Dooku is the best Jedi ever!

  • Christopher Lee:

    the True Renaissance Man!

  • Christopher Lee is a bass baritone. His voice has a bass timbre but he can reach a higher baritone. He talked about his singing training and has described it thus: 'What they produced was a voice that could not make up its mind, and when my basso profondo reached the 'bridge' from bass to baritone, it pirouetted over the parapet into a tenor baritone timbre. Unusual and distinctive, but inconvenient.'

So whatever it is correctly described as it is very pleasing. A great voice.

  • Definitely Bass. As for the other guy, I think he was trying to reach Mezzo-Soprano. I was kind of hoping Lee would use some evil wizardry to send him flying off the stage.

  • I absolutely didn't know there was a French version of it? Does someone possess this version? I'm really interested.

  • Count Dooku is singing! BTW, a german, french and italian version fo this great song exists ...

  • cool-it's like the voice of Michael Crawford in the body of Weird Al yankovic

  • I love the voice of Christopher Lee

  • Hihi! If Christopher Lee sings a tenor, than I am a pope!

But, his voice is absolutelly great, wonderfull to hear. This strange feeling around my heart by hearing... I could hear hours long his voice! Singing or just speaking.

Than I favorited this video, and gave full rating to it.

And I apologize my English, is not very well I know. :)

  • Bass-baritone. A Wagnerian register.

  • I was thinking this as well...I would kill to hear him sing Wotan. :P

  • And no, he isnt a Tenor, sounds like a Bass, but, oddly enough if you listen closely towards the end at 3:21 you hear him hitting high notes, they sound to be high Es and Fs, which tends to be the limit of the baritone range, so meh.

  • @Ivan2288

So in fact at that point he is indeed singing in a tenor range; but it's the only part of the song where he does

  • He was like 84 when he did that vid.

  • Yeah he was 84. I met him a couple of years ago and he was very nice, and also very tall.

  • I am personally a Rhapsody fan and have owned this CD for some time, but have never seen the video. I believe the combination of Lee's deep, powerful voice and Lione's smooth, majestic voice is a pe
