It's been roughly 6 months since I BC'd also and just flat ironed it for my birthday. It's been only a week and I'm so missing my natural curls! Lol. I miss co washing every other day to keep my hair smelling fresh and keep my styles crisp. Though I did it b/c I needed my ends trimmed. So another week or 2 of being straight and it's back to my curls!

Hello, I didn't know you went natural. Congratulations. How long did you transition to natural? I'm excited for you. I'm also transitioning to natural. It will be 1 year since I had a relaxer. My coarse hair doesn't like anything shea moisture.. hate the smell of their products and $10 a pop is steep imo

Might I suggest Henna, if you want a reddish tint to your hair? It's also a great strengthener/conditioner and prolonged use helps to loosen up the curl pattern a bit I hear.

@sweetdimpelzz thank you! when i'm in a weave (no longer than 5/6 weeks) i spritz my hair daily with the water and AVJ mixture..when i am not..i DC once a week..do a puff for the week...and spritz it every day with the AVJ & water mixture...that's it

LOL @ you and that Aussie moist conditioner. I can totally tell you love that stuff ahaha!! - I so wish I could do all of this stuff, but I do not have the funds to do so. I chopped all of my hair off almost a year ago and it's only grown back about halfway. I'm also glad that I chopped mine off so it can grow back pretty healthy, but I have NO IDEA what to do with it yet lol. So I've just been wearing the elastic headbands on it and keeping it conditioned. #shrug - Good to see ya!!
