However, Gladiators like Lace (the original Lace) have said that they were high on painkillers, drunk on champagne and cocooned in all sorts of bandages and things, because they had broken ribs, broken this and that and so on...

sounds awful to mention a time like that, but TURBO was SO damn hot! this season, along with the following season when he came back a little slimmer with the crew cut and red white and blue singlett, and season 5 were his hottest seasons look-wise. The season prior to this one, when he had long hair, he was really pumped up on 'roids. it's funny to see how he got progressively smaller as the seasons went by. the same thing occured with laser.
