"Madara" was probably Zetsu who took Madara's Sharingan after his death (like Edo-Itachi, Edo-Madara still possessed the Sharingan as he had it upon death) and also found a way to copy his memories. A lot of people think Madara is an old version of Sasuke or a version of Zetsu, but I am sticking with my original theory. The Zetsu theory still stand because of the right side looking like a Zetsu arm when Madara tore it off. Madara said he is not his complete self. So let us look at this. Obito, we did not see him completely die when we last saw him in Kakashi chronicles, so maybe Zetsu saved him and he is out for vengeance. Itachi just got to the sword and shield before Orochimaru... The sword of Totsuka and sheild of whatever weren't even sharingan weapons... they were weapons for anyone who could get them.. Also, Itachi was a master Tsukuyomi, Sasuke was a master at Susano'o and Amaterasu

This might be a stupid question but its been bugging me for a long time. Why didnt madara and izuna (his brother) switch eyes if madaras eyes were getting bad? Because itachi's eyes were damaged and madara decided to give them to sasuke, that means that eye damage goes away when transplanted. They both would have gotten eternal mangekyo sharingans then. Kind of a waste if you ask me.......

Maybe two different Mangekyo combined as one OR new Mangekyo replace the damaged ones; turned into Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. No one knows... So I think Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan will look like a "combination" of his Mangekyo with Itachi's...

Itachi's Use of the Mangekyo Sharingan put a great strain on his body, but he never "Lost his light" and of course you need both eye's for a total of 4 mangekyo sharingan's, A common misconception I believe is that eternal mangekyo makes you live longer but thats for you to find out .
@volitio actually, i think itachi did lose his eye sight as he was seen not being able to use his sharingan anymore (something he keeps on at all times) and couldn't maintain his susanoo in his final moments. He also had gotten the same grey tinge to his eyes that sasuke had when he couldnt use his mangekyo and maintain susanoo. It just seems so off to me :S

Also izuna was revived without his eyes , and he cannot change between sharingan and rinnegan like madara did ,but instead he put both of them. Izuna being alive for this long also has something to do with zetsu, because both their flash is similar to each other , instead of bleeding , some white substance comes out . This is my theory, I might be wrong though.

So when Madara activated rinnegan he was somewhat past his prime, but Kabuto ressurected him in a such way that Madara is in his prime and still have his rinnegan.

Madara fought with the 1st when he only had eternal magenkyo sharigan, but not rinnegan. He activated rinnegan shortly before his death, Madara would have for sure kicked 1st's ass if he fought with rinnegan. Madara is pretty BADASS.

Tobi is the name of Madara's clone, Zetsu. Madara created Zetsu from Harashima Senju's DNA. If Madara can create Zetsu, what the fuck makes you think he can't create a clone of himself? Madara clearly states he got it before before he died and kabuto stated that he completed him past his prime

@klaridon If you're reading the manga accurately, you will know that tobi is just posing as madara in order to create the 4th shinobi war. The Impure Resurrection technique can only revive madara if his soul is not sealed or used to another body(just like as if tobi has madara's soul).

"Madara" was probably Zetsu who took Madara's Sharingan after his death (like Edo-Itachi, Edo-Madara still possessed the Sharingan as he had it upon death) and also found a way to copy his memories. How else would "Madara" become so powerful to have a constant Izanagi with one Sharingan in his battle against Konan unless his entire flesh was Hashirama's DNA?

A lot of people think Madara is an old version of Sasuke or a version of Zetsu, but I am sticking with my original theory. The Zetsu theory still stand because of the right side looking like a Zetsu arm when Madara tore it off. Madara said he is not his complete self. So let us look at this. Obito, we did not see him completely die when we last saw him in Kakashi chronicles, so maybe Zetsu saved him and he is out for vengeance. He could seem immortal because of Zetsu's plant power..there is more

@Hysenbelliu91 No, you're wrong.... In order to have susano'o, you have to have the mangekyou in both eyes, but all the mangekyous have different abilities. Itachi just got to the sword and shield before Orochimaru... The sword of Totsuka and sheild of whatever weren't even sharingan weapons... they were weapons for anyone who could get them.. Also, Itachi was a master Tsukuyomi, Sasuke was a master at Susano'o and Amaterasu

This might be a stupid question but its been bugging me for a long time. Why didnt madara and izuna (his brother) switch eyes if madaras eyes were getting bad? Because itachi's eyes were damaged and madara decided to give them to sasuke, that means that eye damage goes away when transplanted. They both would have gotten eternal mangekyo sharingans then. Kind of a waste if you ask me.......

So doesnt that mean that just by transplanting mangekyo sharingan eyes (while unlocking the mangekyo sharingan by yourself already) you would get the eternal mangekyo sharingan? It doesnt make any sense. The only rational explanation is that he stole izuna's eyes and wanted him dead (no competition) so he can take control of the uchiha clan.

@gunslinger97658 If you look at Madara's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, it looks like a "combination" of both his first Mangekyo and Izuna's Mangekyo. The surgery to transplant someone's Mangekyo with own Mangekyo has never been revealed in detail.
Maybe two different Mangekyo combined as one OR new Mangekyo replace the damaged ones; turned into Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. No one knows... So I think Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan will look like a "combination" of his Mangekyo with Itachi's...

@gunslinger97658 Because Madara "Lost his light" from over using his eye's to redeem his clan, From what I understand once you over use your sharingan they cannot be used for eternal mangekyo. Itachi's Use of the Mangekyo Sharingan put a great strain on his body, but he never "Lost his light" and of course you need both eye's for a total of 4 mangekyo sharingan's, A common misconception I believe is that eternal mangekyo makes you live longer but thats for you to find out .

@volitio actually, i think itachi did lose his eye sight as he was seen not being able to use his sharingan anymore (something he keeps on at all times) and couldn't maintain his susanoo in his final moments. He also had gotten the same grey tinge to his eyes that sasuke had when he couldnt use his mangekyo and maintain susanoo. It just seems so off to me :S
