I love to see Arab singers in Opera. It reminds me of something I always wonder about: realize how many thousands of great singers there must be in the Arab/Berber countries, in Subsaharan Africa, in India! The spread of the genius of Opera and Classical Music should reach those places, and then I'm sure we'd see a wave of wonderful voices and artists. Only an idiot would say that the Middle East can't produce talents: it was once the part of the world with the most thriving artistic production.

Bimba Fakhoury, Tawil is not my student. I have never met her. I saw her performances in Milano, Roma, Bologna, Vienna etc. I have never had the pleasure to talk to her. Among all the singers I know, she the one who has the best technique and the most beautiful voice. She sang all the repertory. She is marvellous. I saw her in the italian TV 2 times singing with Domingo, Carreras and Alagna. She is the pride of France and if she is also lebanese, she is the pride of Lebanon.

In my master classes, in Milano, i present Rima's singing as the typical good way of singing, the good technique with a wonderfull voice. If you don't notice it, you have to change your profession. If you call yourself a professional how come you have recorded in a room full of echoes which only leads to show your overly thin overstretched voice that you are direly trying to make bigger than what it is. And when you talk about technique;- make sure your phraseology and breathing coincide in order to sing the correct sentence without showing that you are running of breath.

2nd of all, im a student at juilliard and got accpeted to lascala di milano so i know wut m talking abt when i say that her voice isnt that of a professional opera singer. her vibrato is completly horrible and that has to do with her breathing which obviously is also terrible since she has that annoying vibrato going on.
