Watched some of these guys flying kites in the park at the end of Riverside Point near Clarke Quay in Feb 2011. Fascinating and somehow unreal to see them flying silently in the dark covered with lights.
I once saw this long time ago while i was in Singapore, this dude not sure if they were one of you were playing in an open air field in Singapore.. was so impressed with them. I think now I should be able to buy it...will drop by the Ace website.
actually it not developed by goflykite......ace hobby was the first to fly in 2005 national day... goflykite started flying at 2007 but was set up in 2005..
They were originally developed Chris Chan and friends in Singapore and subsequently sold by 'ThatHobbyShop' They are called "Firefly" use LiPo batteries and brushless motors. There are a few for sale in UK
lol, honestly? I think it came from Europe, was supposedly meant to be a cheaper alternative to RC Flying, iono, I dun really play these things, I just film my friends who do...haha.
Whether or not it's nice doesn't really matter, the song is a remake of the original UK Top 10 evergreen classic written in the 70s by the JIGSAWs, n like all 70s songs, hence the lyrics. I thought being Grandma's Man, she would have told you this, but I guess she didn't think u were that special enough.
is this the same ones on men's health mag singapore? they printed that it cost about $610 for this product. wow...good to look at but too much to own one.
lol their called Aerokites, some of my friends here did a segment for our national day(independence day) celebration last year where they flew it around during a certain part of the show. =)
Brilliant kites.

It's originally an 80s top 40 song. I forget who did it.

sorry to be odd. but arent they technically "wacky" rc planes? theres no string... and i didnt know kites had a power source ;)
zzbin 4 years ago
Lol don't look at me for the answer, I didn't name them. The guys who designed them(in europe I think) gave it that sorta name.
Endruu 4 years ago
They work on batteries and they react differently to normal rc planes.
