Very important information...there are all sorts of emergencies that can occur and having storable food is one thing that will give anyone who is prepared a peace of mind.
advice ------- guys never , ever show what you have on line ..the elite is going around and busting Americans that is stocked up ...under the new bill obama just signed in law ..THE NDAA BILL states clearly if you have over 7 days worth of food stocked up that you could be a terrorist.
this is a warning guys the elites are cracking down hard!
love it--a good usable room that also stores food!
the stacks of vegetable cans look a little tipsy and there is enough room above them for 50% more food--have you tried a rack from goodthingsinstore.shelfreliance(dot)com/food-rotation-systems to store even more food and keep it more organized?
Also, THRIVE food is more nutritious and tastier than canned. check it out!
Well organized. I would suggest moving your food items to the lower half of the room and non-perrishable items to the upper shelves. A little heat in the summer from the ceiling will effect storage life. Pastas should be on the bottom.
@wonderfulgoodlife Good advice. Thanks! it does get pretty hot where I live, though i try to keep the house pretty cool. I will be moving perishables to the bottom shelves. Thanks again.
I lOVE my Nutrimill ( saw yours ), We have 2.5 yrs of food stored and 800 lbs of wheat and 1.5 yrs of meats I canned ( Beef stew, chili, pork, chicken) and we are in a CONDO till we move back home! We took 64 LDS Boxes and made a HUGE TALL headboard for the King Size bed and draped it with Textiles!! It reaches the ceiling and I decorated it nicely
@MsAnna- thanks for the advice! how long have you been doing this? I have a question.... if u have a coupon that says $1 of of three things, of the same thing of course, does that mean $1 off the total cost of those three items or $1 off of each individual item? thanks, kara
@MsKsolo1 if it says $1 off of three then its only $1 off of the all three (not $3 off of three). I started long term food storage almost 2 years ago. What a ride its been. It was a lot of work (and expense) but now the hard work is done. I still have to keep things rotated and make sure nothing goes to waste. I wish you the best. Anna
@MsKsolo1 Its a little overwhelming but well worth it when you are finally done. One thing i found helpful was writing the date with a permanent marker pin on the top of the cans. It makes rotating and grabbing the oldest can first easier. Good luck to you!
I really like that...looks like you're hubby is handy to have! Thats a lot of weight on those shelves, what are they made of, if you don't mind sharing? thanks
you dont want to look at that, what?i would stare at it and show it off it looks amazing,im really glad i found your cahnnel and i like the cooking vids.
i see you have stored flour in the buckets. How long will that keep and how did you do it? is it the wheat berries or actual redi flour? i put mine in the freezer for 1 month then put in mylar with 02 absorbers. i heard it will only keep for 2 years though. ty
The nutrimill wheat grinder is pretty new. I really like it. It doesnt leak any flour and does a great job at grinding the wheat. I pondered over which type of grinder to get but at the time the nutrimill was cheaper so i went with it. Im glad I did.
Looks great! I noticed that you have a Nutrimill. What do you think of it? I have a Wondermill, but I really don't like it. It leaks flour all over when it's running. I'm definitely going to replace it. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice. I know how great it feels to have everything organized. In a weird way, when I unclutter my life, it unclutters my mind as well. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice! It makes things so much easier when it's all in one place. When I started my food storage I had things scattered among several rooms. One day I was crawling around looking for a can of corn under a bed and I decided I'd had enough of that. I built some shelves and moved it all into the garage, so much better.
Really nice organization.
Looks like your channel has a lot to offer.

@MsKsolo1 I got the metal shelving from Costco. I ordered it online and there was free delivery. It was a pretty good deal too. :-)

@bmeyer44 They are made of compressed particle board. He had to reinforce them with lots of brackets so they are pretty strong.
