  • i think i'm literally getting addicted to all of Justin's projects, bon iver, his solo work gayngs, volcano choir, deyarmond edison, megafaun, polica etc. is there a name for this condition?

  • justin is kind of a pig. it's sort of sad how the bearded softy has become such an indie contrivance. it's embarrassing. there are so many other bands with the same sound, ones who came out before him.

  • @TheMistermistofeles I can't think of any other band that has the same sound of Volcano Choir.

I learned of this band because I liked Pele, heard of Collections of Colonies of Bees, and then learned of this band. Now, I've learned of Bon Iver. Sure, there are tons of singer-songwriters out there, but I don't think any of them have put out anything as good as he has recently.

Who cares how many projects Justin is in? As long as he puts out "good" music, I couldn't care less.

  • It's good to see such a large ensemble that can sound so good and uncluttered together.

  • I wish they tourd more!!

  • DO WANT

  • anyone else get butterflies when the guitar comes in at 2.49?

  • did they play any bon iver stuff @ this show? they have 2 upcoming midwest shows and i want to go but would like to see them play volcano and boniver stuff

  • @namaste53 They played everything off of Unmap and a new V.C. composition. But they don't play any Bon Iver stuff, mainly because it's an entirely different project.

  • jv is the real deal

  • WISH I WAS THERE!

  • I was here!

  • im kind of upset that i live in missouri.. because im gonna end up missing most of this.. :(

  • @futurejarheadusmc Yeah, you're not alone. Virginia's one of those "non-important" states too.

  • I was at this show too!

  • justin looks like a rapper

  • I was there! can't forget that wonderful time!

  • I love this group and this album and Justin Vernon especially. But, I'm starting to wonder if he is getting to comfortable with the autotune.

  • @tomczik76 not knocking your observation, i can dig that, but this project is really based on electronic textures and stuff. it only fits. i don't think he's in the project to be "justin vernon." his voice is like another instrument. solid shit though, right?

  • @OutlawBebop8 its pretty cool that he experiments

  • @tomczik76 For Emma was cathartic, Volcano Choir is more spacey. Justin Vernon is not defined by a single project he's worked on, but his repertoire as a whole. I wouldn't worry about the autotune thing, it won't be overdone.

  • i wanna see 2000 analog synths with him standing in the middle rocking on oll of em

  • Great job and great show, I yelled Bring Back Fiengold at one point

  • love this!

  • i wasn't that interested in his new project, but after watching this live version i am gonna go back and re-listen!

  • Well done, gentlemen! Wisconsin is proud of you...

  • wow, so good

  • @2:35 - One of my favorite musical moments.

  • at first i thought justin is kinda overdoing that whole autotune thing.

    but damn this is beautiful.

  • Can we expect a DVD release? Quality here is pretty darn good.

  • fuckin sick!

  • Great song.
