@Jane1620 I read once that some Newsman heard the President call to John but said it very quickly that it sounded like he was calling him John-John. John hated that name and got into a lot of fights in school when other kids callld him that.

No one in the Kennedy family called JFK Jr. 'John-John' that was a nick-name the media gave him because JFK said John's name twice in rapid succession. They actually found the nick-name quite annoying, they simply called him John.
