I used to think he was kidding, but if you listen closely to the second album you can really understand it. Free jazz, experimental jazz, whatever you want to call it. Same with the Electric Eels [early and mid 1970s, from Cleveland, Ohio].

I saw the Stooges twice. First time they played the entire Funhouse album. The second time they did the Raw Power album. Those two shows practically destroyed my hearing, but it was worth it. Best live shows I've ever seen, bar none.
