  • very good point. i agree with u money is not evil. it's the people who use it the evil way are the ones evil!

A good and righteous person would use money in a good and righteous way.

  • i only don't like it when is is subtle. There is a trust that you are suppose to have between you and you audience witch you break by doing that. It also depends of how you are doing it. if you drink coke during you video i don't care even though you are doing it for money as long as you do not start telling me how good it is specially when you don't like it more than any other drink. Same think for a product review video. If you are payed for it, chances are you are going to be biased.

  • Right, and when someone people are paid for it, they will downright consciously lie lol. There are different machines on youtube, money making channels and intellectual channels. There are many in between.

There is a fuzzy ethical line for everything, but I am all for people finding ways to make money other than working 5 or more days a week. It's understandable why people would want to escape that. But, I agree some just go too far lol.

  • i would do the product placement becuase like you said i have things to pay and thats as simple as that one gets.

Storming off to go eat cheerios is kinda !2-year oldish lol but I think in the area of 26 to 31 years of age.

Umm thats all I have to say

  • It really is that simple. I picture myself refusing a product placement. What would I have after I decide not to do it?...nothing. You will be criticized if you do, you will be criticized if you don't.

Might as well make money and be criticized...as opposed to being criticized and broke lol.

  • o.o yeah u kinda looked evil when u asked that...and i like chocolate

  • yeah after I watched the vid I was like well I look evil there!

  • It definitely was a sinister-looking stare. :)

I agree though, it is an object and there is nothing wrong with trying to get as much money as you can possible gather; the problems only arise when, for instance, a ten billion dollar profit, say, is dispersed through the companies upper-echelons (in the millions or hundred millions per) instead of being correctly dispersed into the general workers population.

In some ways, certain types of socialism correct this by placing caps on incomes.

  • Right, the only time I can accept great wealth is when one has stock in a company or is the founder.

As far as placing caps on incomes, I agree completely, unless income is strictly consistent with company performance. That would foster a culture of honesty and accountability, something we don't see currently.

I am trying to limit the hierarchy in my company and create a core evenly paid staff, it's a type of socialism that would actually create wealth as my employees would be motivated.

  • If it works out in your company, even to a small extent, you should publish any and all observable differences it promotes. I think the people need to realize the execs at big corporations do not NEED to make ten, twenty or thirty million dollars a year, especially not while some of the employees are holding second jobs or are struggling to survive.

In my opinion, as you mentioned, it is more important for 95% of the company to be happy than the 5% that is the ruing boards.

  • Underweight 12 yr old! LMAO!!! No you definitely don't look evil. And no, money is not evil. :)

  • No one ever guesses my age.

  • Well, you do look really young, but I don't think that's a bad thing at all. People go into debt trying to have what you have, naturally. I'm afraid to guess ur age though, lol. People usually get mine wrong too, but I just go with the flow.

  • Lmao @ underweight 12-year-old. I don't think money is evil. I think the concept of it is. There are some things that shouldn't cost money..such as tools for survival (i.e. food, home) mmmm..cheerios. I'd gladly place an ad in my video for 100,000 dollars. I doubt my friends would watch anymore, but I need to get my education and life in order so...yeah. I highly doubt someone will approach me with that offer, though. *sigh*

  • I bet a lot of your friends would still watch your vids. Most people I have talked to said a few people whine but then people just forget about it. They also realize that you would be moving ahead and receiving connections and becoming famous.

  • Good point..I'm sold! lol

  • Cheerios is by far the greatest cereal. I eat A LOT of Cheerios....

  • Yeah I have like a dump truck of cheerios.

  • Bills are the REAL evil!!

You did look evil when you asked if you did, lol.

I would sell out for 100,000. It would take care of school for me.

Save me a bowl of cheerios.

  • When the money is put to a good cause like your education, then that makes selling out a genius idea lol
