  • Why submit this video you jerk...then u say not to look too deep into it...Submit work you think would truly educate somebody, not mislead or confuse them...

  • total disrespect

  • @rore5455 lol im pretty sure no one could never take too many lit courses. that is, unless they are all modern american lit courses.

  • I like this video and I get the point of making it. It's really an abstract one! good job! :)

  • ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT VIDEO DEPICTING THE POWER OF PSYCHOSIS TO TAKE YOU 5 PLACES AT ONCE! Why are there so many dislikes? The dislikers are the TV Dinner dullards who would probably execute Galileo if they could travel back in time. Great job! I will freely admit to you I am a recovering Schizophrenic and this is one direction the hallucinations can go if a person suffers acutely.

  • 21 - Bravo, epicdudeman. I wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of trying to say what I see here if I didn’t think you were intellectually head and shoulders above the crowd.

Keep your creative fires burning. You have found your communicative element, and it is in pictures. You rock!

  • 20 - The role of genetics is made abundantly clear. For Blue Boy, 'Who am I?' means 'I am the baby that was born with a genetic tendency to be who I am.' For the newborn baby, 'Who am I' means 'I am full of promise but also full of genetic tendencies. I will someday become the schizophrenic Blue Boy.’ Their two overlapping heads say, ‘Genetics has come full circle. We are one and the same.'

  • 19 - Blue Boy appears, scowling, pulling a cap down over his face to form a theatrical mask posing the question, 'Who am I?' The mask on his head becomes a movie screen on which another head appears: the emerging head of the baby being born in the maternity ward.

  • 18 - Tom returns in alternating scenes of himself on and off of his medication, showing the clear difference the 'right' molecules can make in somebody -- an orthomolecular approach to suppressing the infinitely dreaming timeless subconscious so that the finitely waking conscious can be fully alert in the time world.

  • 17 - No matter where Big Picture guy starts, a sequentially-thinking listener will soon be overwhelmed by the details, and will not get the connections, thinking that Big Picture guy is 'all over the map,' having 'flights of thought' and can't 'get to the point.' For linear thinkers, points are made one by one in ping-ponging conversation. If Big Picture guy tries to talk fast to make all his points in less time and to block interruptions, it will be called 'pressured speech.'

  • 16 - The mental pictures and connections race to the fore at warp speed from disparate points of spherical thought, and produce a resulting synthesis that is easy for the host mind to see. To communicate what he sees, however, he is restricted to the puny plodding path of verbal language. How can he say all that he sees in a pithy one-liner or a few paltry sentences?

  • 15 - All these scenes tumble around over each other in this video in the only way our normal minds can consciously perceive them, which is sequentially. By contrast, in the mind of the schizophrenic, the vast subconscious soup floats past the disintegrated sleep-wake boundary and all the scenes converge and emerge simultaneously in the conscious mind, producing a huge tapestry that is creatively stunning.

  • 14 - A sudden flashback to a snow-covered arctic ocean, from which one-celled life on earth began, immediately disappears from conscious view (but not from the mind) as we land once more in the hospital maternity ward. Marine ocean water overlaps with the marine birth waters of universal mother Mary.

  • 13 - Poor Tom rubs and shakes his head while visions of eager sperm swim towards the irresistible one-celled egg in a watery marine flood of cervical mucus, followed by an energy map of the kiss that preceded their unleashing.

  • 12 - Bottles of lithium, the putative savior, roll off the assembly lines, waiting for their end users -- like the unborn baby in the pregnant woman now being scanned with ultrasound. The Life Principle rears its head in the Technicolor medical energy imaging of a penis becoming aroused into an erection -- a flashback to the pre-pregnancy role of the Father.

  • 11 – A dazed young man walks in a marine winter landscape, suddenly loses his internal identity, and switches places with the landscape. His self colors the landscape. The landscape infuses itself into him. His outline ceases to be the boundary between him and the outside world. He and the landscape are both ripped apart and the pieces schizophrenically wind up in the wrong place as his brain fails to properly identify them. His outline is filled with the blue of the water. He's the Blue Boy.

  • 10 - The repercussions of the woman's drinking are constantly referred to as scenes flash between her and a man's meaningless schizophrenic behavior and the medications used to quell such symptoms. The finger of blame points squarely at her, the carrier or cause of genetic errors.

  • 9 - If you were in any doubt as to the genetic cause-and-effect subject matter, a graphic illustration of a female with her reproductive system in process appears -- an egg is on its way from the Fallopian tube where it was fertilized, passing through the womb.

  • 8 - A scientific video of a pulsing mass of genetically-flawed dividing fetal cells is interrupted by a man whose brain is tape-looping on a repetitive no-past-no-future sleep-disordered dream thought, like a freeze-frame: 'Enjoy moments rather than a pattern.'

  • 7 - The eye is drawn from her lips down her body to her feet as divisions seem to multiply along that path in the same general direction as all her descendants emerging like plant buds from the fork between her two limbs, and stuttering down the future umbilical female trunk line of humanity.

  • 6 - A male partner appears, plying the drinking woman with an excess of wine, which spills onto the table. As she lifts the glass to her mouth, a candle at hand is split into schizophrenic division also suggesting the cell divisions of a developing zygote in the mother's womb, with one small candle on the table and another on the floor at her feet where an extra pair of shoes suggests her splitting self and her unborn offspring

  • 5 - The ancestral mother begins her genetic stamping of future generations. The wonderful period organ music (Bach's Little Fugue in G Minor, played by Virgil Fox) helps to establish the 'antiquity' of the era. Vignettes of her drinking are interspersed with mating behavior scenes of her future progeny, including a dancing couple and a young girl being consoled by her parents during a bout of mental illness. The young girl is the genetically flawed result of mating.

  • 4 - The concept of genetics is symbolized by something universally recognized as a potential cause of birth defects and genetic mutations. You see the long ago ancestral mother drinking wine from the cellar, ingesting alcohol during pregnancy, which is known to be bad for fetal development. The wonderful period organ music helps to establish the 'antiquity' of the era.

Cut to the scientific PowerPoint presentation titled 'Genetics,' just in case you might not get the message.

  • 3 - The view of Tom is followed by a look at hospital staff attending a birth in the maternity ward. The birth story is interrupted by a new character, a young woman of nobility taking a wine glass from a bureau drawer - obviously a hidden object. Then she goes to retrieve a bottle of wine from a hidden nook in a cellar in what seems like an old castle. The video shoots back and forth between the young mother-to-be and dysfunctional Tom rubbing his head, to establish that they are connected.

  • 2 - A dysfunctional schizophrenic named Tom, who is off his medication and rubbing his head in frustration, is asked, 'What about your hair, Tom?' Hair color and texture are genetically determined, as are other properties of the head, like some mental illnesses. How did Tom get to be a schizophrenic?

  • 1 - Warning: This is a review, off the top of my head, in 21 posts. Mea culpa. Just my personal reaction to the Rorschach test here.

This is an utterly brilliant video, revealing a vision spanning many generations: the genetics of an illness that expresses itself in symptoms labeled as schizophrenia.

  • i hate it when people call us schizophrenics crazy. we are anything but. we just think a lot differently than others.

  • This is brilliant. People here on upoop are just too narrow minded. They see this as an insult, not understanding its just art, abstract and absurd.

  • Good job dude, I know what you are talking about!

  • This video suxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • ok piss off im schizophrenic and yes its a hrad thing to deal with but its not no elfin joke ... bastard

  • i'm schizophrenic. nothing like that happens to me.. dumbasses. at least do some research before you try to make a legit "thought process of schizophrenia."

  • this video reminds me of the bible

  • asshole try living with mental illness

  • well i thought i was a cool interptationfor second i thought that m this was done be people who have evaulwaited some cases studdiess . im luky that the demons that mence me are not doing it to me i my dreams\\\\\\\\\\

  • i thought it was pretty good actually. i actually listen to bach's organ stuff when ive got the weirds haha :)

  • Although I only have mild skitzophrenia, this video offends me greatly. You've only shown what happens to overly medicated and extreme skitzophrenia cases, which are quite rare might I add. Educate yourself before posting stuff like this.

  • Dude...this is offensive!

  • at 1:12 i stopped watching

  • I have schizophrenia, and it is nothing like this.... I find this truely offensive..

  • my brother has it,he drinks to cover it up,he lost it with me yesterday and said he will kill me,and hopes i die in a car crash,i forgive him coz i know he dont mean it,it must be horrible to go through that shit in ur mind every day

  • @SuperEverton1974 I know exactly what you mean. I have the illness and can't stand when people think it's not real. One old pos from southeast Missouri told me that I was faking and that I just needed a job! I've paid into the system before I got sick and make an illustrious $8,000 a year off disability. I guess that's too much for the facists good ol' boy right-wing fanatics though. When I think about it I do work. I help my neighbors and post music instruction videos on here. I work every day.

  • @MountainManMusic1 good to hear your kept busy,my brother looks after my mam,hes on disability aswell, but drinks most days, hes a good lad but has no confidence in himself,my mother is his life shes 80 now and i dread to think what will happen to him if she goes, the health system here in ireland is on a shoestring,so there aint much help

  • what was ur grade?

  • strange and interesting. What's happenning in your mind....

  • A friend of mine have this she ran away and they found her in like a city 40 miles away from where we stay, prostituting.

  • I think I have been going through the begining stages od schizophrenia. I dont know who i should tell first. My wife knows something is strange. My parents wouldn't be suprised but i wouldn;t want to worry them. my best friend seems the most viable outlet. Today two girls came to my door asking trick or treat but thats two weeks away. I dont think they were real. I have a wife and a kid and a home and a good job and no one knows this is going on.

  • @fatgirlfister if your serious then go to a doctor right away so you can stop it

  • fag

  • It might happen at giving point in time you little fucking bitch hahahahahahaha...

  • i hope the maker of this video gets schizofrenia and a serious one. Shit ...i'll laugh at you then. There's nothing that indicates that these kind off people do get it and others not so you will have to wait untill you'll know you'll really never get this.

  • That girl is wearing Liberace's fur coat.

  • A totally respectless clip, both to the person in the clip and people suffering from schizophrenia.

Please don't do this again. You can easily employ your talent to a constructive cause.

  • @brennan7658293 The fact that you would say that shows how ignorant you are you stupid tool. Even those of us who've had schizophrenic friends or family members don't really know how bad it is. To not be able to control the images going through your head, that sure sounds like a "pussy disorder" to me. And if you're really as preoccupied with masculinity as you pretend to be, you probably constantly give others shit about everything, and you have no idea that most people you know dislike you.

  • "Ridiculously abstract movie I made with my friend Ian in our Video Art class. Please don't read too deep into it."

Most people would be surprised how many people don't read the description yet read the comments, so before you go all hateful on the guy's video, read my comment which is also like the description.

  • what the name of the classic sound?

  • @SyrianPride1488 It's the "little fugue" in g minor by Johann Sebastian Bach (don't know the BWV number).

  • You should learn to love your children.

  • cool!

  • Your movie is causing some intense response; congrats- Me LikEy

  • On forums you find Crohn's sufferers joking about it, same for cancer - it's a human coping mechanism, there's even a certain morbid fascination - I had a schizo-psychotic break of sorts due to drug abuse, heard voices talking to me, heard my dad hitting my mum (he never did that in reality), saw my mum dead on the floor, hallucinated ants swarming all over me and coming out of my skin. But y'know what, maybe instead of defending our fellow nut-jobs we could share our experiences with normals!

  • Damn. All these people standing up for people with schizophrenia... All these people that have apparently taken the time to search for it. It just popped up for me, but even so I'd have an excuse to search for such a thing. Y'all say "dude fuck you schizophrenia's not funny" but you're all searching for it because you must think its cool. Maybe you say "A Beautiful Mind" or something, I don't know... Its not cool at all, it just fuckin sucks, and it is pretty damn hilarious.

  • Respond to this video... this is not just some one who's schizophrenic but also on a high dosage of meds n is higher then a kite . check urselfs .

  • very stupid vid.

  • whooohoooooo!

  • dumbest fucking movie I've ever seen... you and your friend ian suck ass. schizophrenia isn't a joke either.

  • Video art class? Making fun of schizophrenia? How about we all call you a bunch of pretentious fags?

  • So soothing. Great to watch before bedtime.

  • the time is 0:41 into this video and I now think the original poster is a worthless cunt.

I expected insight into the human mind and found some dick taking the piss out of the mentally ill.

FUCK YOU @epicdudeman you EPIC ASSHOLE

  • What the hell am I watching?

  • this one is actually quite well made. (just in case anyone wants to actually see the video they thought they might see when they clicked this link) watch?v=Ob5vubKWIac

  • from personal experience, i can attest that schizophrenia is exactly like hearing baroque organ music played to a poorly edited montage of film clips.

  • I'm a recovering schizophrenic... and I don't know what the balls this is.

  • @WorldsforThrong Sorry you have to witness and endure the stupidity of others. I hope your recovering is going well by the way.

  • @MisanthropicTrance Haha thanks man.

  • @WorldsforThrong grow up, only the weak minded get affected by this pussy disorder, deal with it and man the fuck up...

  • @Brennan7658293 So Meera Popkin, John Nash and countless other geniuses were just weak minded pussies? You've never had to go through it have you.

  • @WorldsforThrong Yes they were all brain dead... I am a great person, and going to be very sucsessful, need i say more?

  • @Brennan7658293 You're ridiculously idiotic. People get this disorder because they can't deal with the constant, overwhelming stupidity and lack of compassion, from people like you. They were all genius, beautiful people; that was my point you fool. I'm sure I've done far more with my life then you have. This world is run by idiots. You like Alex Jones, I'm sure you know that, so you're starting down the right track. And I'm sure he'd be incredibly angry and disappointed in you my friend.

  • @WorldsforThrong U MAD?

  • @Brennan7658293 Yeah, because you're a dunce.

  • @WorldsforThrong your prob weak minded pussy schitzophrenic too.

  • @Brennan7658293 Weak minded? You're a skinny-ass boxing pompous little shit. And these "weak-minded" with schizophrenia, are some of the brightest, most sensitive and creative people the world has to offer. Because the world's so fucked right now, the few people that are aware of what's going on can't take the severity and horror of it all and they have to find these tragic means of dealing with it.

  • @WorldsforThrong Not skinny and a hell of a guy, you never answered my question, too bad you can't handle society and have to resort to become one of them loonie schitzo's.

  • @Brennan7658293 You already know the answer dumb ass; it started your smart aleck comments. And I told you, I'm recovering. It happened to me when I was very young, I'm handling society now, and assholes like yourself. All you're doing here is trying to make yourself feel better. You're picking on me. You're a coward. Now of course your next move would be to call me a coward, but at least I was one for the right reasons. You're just an idiot.

  • @WorldsforThrong I'm not trying to make myself feel better, i just want the cold hard truth to get across, haha funny that i just did a project on schitzophrenia today. I fed the class the facts.

  • @Brennan7658293 you think you'r so fucking clever abusing people behind a screen. ur not, u r a vile

little boy. a pussy, a weak minded fascist. i hope you develope schizophrenia or better still get raped to

death by a bear. you white trash canadian hick.

  • What's wrong with his head? I mean, when he itches it, it's looks so elastic.

  • That's what we call a REAL SEX MASK

  • WTF did I just watch?! >:(

  • Shut up! No shut the fuck up yourself!!

  • @thenfuckyou2 rose are red and violets are blue/i'm a schizophrenic and so am i.

  • @BigOldMrKnish LOL I'm in love....Yeah me too....

Shut up you fucking cheesy bastard! ....sorry

  • shit

  • the problems with any mental disoder is its very difficult to get inside another person head and no exactly what they are feeling or thinking. you try and see if you can think what another person is feeling. its impossible to define. thats why mental disorders are impossible to treat nearly. also that is what makes them a great oppurtunity for people who want to fake a mental illness for the sake of benefit. some fakers will even take the medication to make it seem so

  • i actually think the video makes a valid point in demonstrating disorganized thought patterns

  • what the fuck did i just watch?!!!

  • @socalhippie420 lmao

  • there should be a like , dislike and a shite button

  • I think everyone is temporarily schizophrenic when they dream. Who could rationally think that stuff up?

  • @mindsaglowin what does any of that have to do with schizophrenia? lol

  • I wish we could see the likes/dislikes of a video on the search page before we click on the video so I can know whether the video is going to be a waste of my time.

  • Schizophrenia seems to be a common crying wolf mental ilness faking scheme here in the uk. there are these people who are pretneding they here voices and they are getting government benefits. not that i really care but it pisses me off to think there are people crying wolf when there are people with problems who desire to get better but are not helped because the doctors are wastign time on people who don't desire to get results from the help but want to stay on benefits money

  • I'm a paranoid schizophrenic and it's nothing at all like this. I don't act like this at all.

  • Do us all a favor and take this video off of youtube please.

  • this is dramatic and hellish maybe it mirrors the creepy feeling of delusions? the hyper dopamine brain but schizophrenics don't see things like this i know im desorganisd schizophr. mildly only.

  • Is this supposed to be funny?!

  • what is the point of creating and posting an "abstract" video if you tell people not to read too deep into it? To have people just look at a series of pictures flash across the computer screen?

I agree with ADOREREDD below...you seem to just be intentionally and quite ridiculously creating a dark image for schizophrenia

  • ok wtf ?

  • I get so sick of people like you making Schizophrenia out to be soooo terrible!!!!!

  • @ADOREREDD Yeah Exactly- How dare he demonize something so awesome! Schizophrenia is a walk in the park. I very much enjoy it and so do I...Delusions, Hallucinations, and the Greatest !! Until people like these portray it as a illness!

  • @UZI9MMAUTO really? have fun i hope that shit bites you in the ass!!!!!! not funny..............

  • @ADOREREDD You fucking IDIOT! You have NO idea what your talking about... You should FOLLOW the Conversation BEFORE you put your nose in it! You just made a REAL fucking ass out of yourself..

  • @UZI9MMAUTO okay you win...now go take your meds. You sick FUCK!!!!!

  • @ADOREREDD Stfu you are a disgrace to humanity.

  • @MrGrevy WTF.....NO U HAVE IT WRONG! I TAKE MY MEDS...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..............GO ON A RIDE WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the edits on this are so shitty

  • We (me and my mom) got to study this and other mind disorders in college and found

them quite fascinating. The best way I know how to put it: a schizophrenic's mind is like of a big glass container that keeps getting broken and the more times you keep putting it back together, the worse it gets.

  • I you wanna be like this, just eat shrooms.

  • @MakkaPakka666

yeah u can just "eat shrooms" but who the hell would want to live their ENTIRE life with this HORRIBLE disease? i know someone very close of whom died because of schizophrenia. It is the cancer of Psychosis. The person i knew not only killed himself but left 10 notebooks full of poetic predictions of what would happen after his death....and it did. And if any1 reading this can explain to me how some1 shoots them self not once but twice with a SAWED OFF 22!!!! Then LET ME KNOW HOW

  • @followlove29

murder had someone kill him will power of what the police wanted to add to spice it up if he wanted it in his suicide note

  • suffering from eschizofrenia... entering a bus... suddenly you feel observed people are talking, they seem like they are talking so loud you have a microphone inside your head, its getting even louden then that, you look around, eyes wide open see if somebody notices that u are breaking up inside, put your hands into you ears to stop the noise, but it gets louder, your hand palms are sweating, you suddenly get up and go to talk to the driver to stop, then turn around and sit again...

  • If Schizophrenia is a concept then it does not exist. all people at one time or another will behave in ways that can appear to be add, adhd, bi polar, depressed or schizophrenic. However, all in all it comes down to managing symptoms of repression and oppression. Notice the video did not explain any process at all about schizophrenia? Think for yourself. How many times did you feel schizophrenic? Notice they are only showing Whites. Why?

  • @duvexy

They are just showing how thought processes work (imagination, if you want to call it that) and the processes of the brain are disjointed, and make no sense. THAT'S what they are showing.

  • @my5guysgirl Even a disjointed brain is so awesome in that that brain will continue to communicate and repair itself as long as it is healthy enough to do so. Saying that the brain is disjointed or does not make sense is just not good enough in explaining how the brain does this despite injuries and diseases. If you think about the neurotransmitters and the hypo campus working together is awesome. A schizo is a person who stops sucking up.

  • That was great. Don't listen to that mbyamm87 guy. They may have been innapropriate topics but that's how some people's minds work so he just needs to deal with it. I thought it was amazing.

  • This is fuelling all the stigma associated with schizophrenia. Very artistic, but you chose an inappropriate topic

  • Virgil Fox fo life

  • LOL good video man! I like this crazy kind of shit.

  • what the cock.

  • I'm all for art, but you need to change the title. Misleading people for views is greed, not art. Schizophrenia is a very serious condition and this video just makes a total mockery out of it. I "thumbs downed" it.

  • whats with the penis at 3:10/

  • Close up of a baby popping out?

    Surprised YouTube allowed these images.

  • Thermal image of erected penis?

  • I totally get this. You must be a Schizophrenic to get it.

  • i don't like my eyes coming apart , what about your hair Tom? then

    3:33

  • wtf did I just watch?

  • please, rename this video to "something stupid that nobody should watch"

  • if this is a joke, no-one is laughing. :(

  • are tis a gay thing, for you are a gay thing, that of fagish issue and abnormal intrest of anal insertion. strung up on self importance, everything a mirror of thy self, a fag! the world in your eyes is gay, you are in love with the world as it is thou you see in the mirror and the world is the mirror.

  • Just an aside, most people when they read a title like "Thought Process of a Schizophrenic" assume the postor has the same reverence for the plight of schizophrenics that they do. Descriptions are often overlooked until well into the video. Maybe in the title you could have said something like "Video Art school protrayal of schizophrenic." It's fine to attempt an artistic view of such subjects, but your title is attracting the wrong audience. Hope that helped and best wishes for school.

  • Cripes. Did people not read this?: "Ridiculously abstract movie I made with my friend Ian in our Video Art class. Please don't read too deep into it."

Check some of the descriptions people type about what they post before you tear them a new asshole. It's abstract. And for a Video Art class. Don't tell me none of you were a little twisted and did things that may have been unsavory to the norms and sheeples.

In the abstract context, I liked it. I hope you guys do more abstract videos.

  • not what its like, dude.

  • wacky baby! wacky

  • schitzophrenia isnt funny

  • @anamiaanaangel it depends...

  • Comment removed

  • wow i love it

  • small penis hahaah

  • @coolsmek its a penis erecting.. that was kinda obvious.

  • and actually contrary to popular belief, the schizophrenic on medication may be more sad or depressed than you are pointing to in this video. you convey the point that they are happier.

  • The transorbital lobotomy in your video is awful. Your view on schizophrenia is disgusting.

  • what is that at 3:03?

  • You know, I'm schizophrenic and I find this kind of shit really offensive. It makes us all out to be some kind of psycho disorganized burden on humanity, when in reality we aren't as "crazy" as everyone says.

  • @MuffinFart360 Do you have voices in your head?

  • @MuffinFart360 I agree. I too am a schizophrenic, But it gets annoying when people think schizophrenics are crazy. :/

  • @Crumatoc None of us are crazy. We just are special and see things that others can't.

  • @MuffinFart360 I'm quite interested to know about Schizophrenia, but every video I have found on youtube has been bloody weird and doesn't have anything to do with the symptoms of Schizophrenia. Btw, I don't think any person suffering from schizophrenia are "crazy" and nobody else should think that either. But, when there are videos like this, goodness knows what people are thinking about the illness :/

  • wth

    '

  • I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thumbed this down. You have no idea how hurtful this was to watch [the first minute or so anyway until I saw what it was about]. My brother has schizophrenia. Try being a little more sensitive to an illness that destroys dreams and lives.
